First of all, they REALLY need to replace some of the employees, some of them were not that nice. With that said its a nice place to have some drink and sing your heart out with your friends. Good sized room with decent song selection. The reason for the 3 stars is because honestly, for the amount you pay here you can have way more drink and a better experience elsewhere. They seem overpriced to me, but I mean its Irvine so that is expected right? I guess my gripe with this place is that i expected more considering the price. I absolutely love karaoke and will do it sober or drunk. My friends and I came here to take advantage of their $30 weekday special which included unlimited singing and unlimited beer. You can literally come in when they open at 5 p.m. and stay until 2 a.m.! The rooms are very cool and nicer than a lot of the ones in Garden Grove (I love those too). Plush totally reminded me of the KTVs I have visited in Taiwan. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. Korean karaoke. These are private rooms with black couches and a flat screen, where you can sing and watch what appear to be clips from Korean soap operas, TV shows, dance video games, and movies, that have nothing to do with the songs, which can be hilarious. The controllers, which allow you to search by artist or title, and the books of songs, which have recent songs, and classics, seem to be about 60% Korean and 40% English, although they have an impressive amount of songs in the catalog. The staff here is friendly. The pricing is great, with sessions starting at $17 per person for "all you can sing" (until 2am) and other packages that allow soda, tea, and beer. No other alcoholic drinks aside from beer, meaning no mixed drinks, no wine, etc. Parking in this very very busy center is also usually difficult. read more

Do not come and wait for endless hours. It's been awhile since I was here and I finally came here again. When I got there, they told me the wait is about one hour. When the hour was up, they told me another 1 hr. Finally we were told you are next by the second hr, then suddenly it was back to square 1. There is a huge difference between 3 hr vs 1. We've been told 1 hr three times. I could have done a lot of things in 3 hrs which was wasted because they weren't honest about the ridiculous wait. Even though they call u when its ur turn, but what are u suppose to do for 3 hrs+? There is nothing to do in dj plaza! The young girl, who I assume is the manager, will ignore u at the front desk. You will wait for 5 min in front of her and she will not even look at you. Did I mention that they require a 15% service fee? This is the only karaoke place i know that make people pay tip. Ridiculous. Bringing mics is required at any karaoke but other places have the decency of not charging themselves tip. O they also try to maximize your spending by requiring to buy a drink too. So why don't they just charge up front? Thats pretty much what it comes down to anyways. The small pot of drink is about 5 bucks plus 15% tip then the drink alone is roughly $5.75. Then...the price of a small room for 1 hr is $35. 15% of 35 is 5.25 and thats per hr. $35 + $5.25= 40.25. So pretty much its 40.25 total for one small room per hr. If u have the medium room, they charge themselves 6.75 self tip, so $45+ $6.75= $51.75. I don't even know if they charge tax. They are charging ridiculous amount but indirectly. Most places only charge 25 to 30 for a small room but plush use service charge as an excuse to increase the price without u realizing it. The only reason I like this place is because it looks nice, has good sound systems, updated songs and a lot of chinese songs. Is it worth going through that ridiculous long wait? Many problems. tl;dr, it's expensive, badly managed, and is not at all geared toward English-speakers. So, first of all, it just flat out costs more than other karaoke places. Maybe it looks nicer? I don't know. In addition, they tack on a 15% service charge. What service they're providing, I have no clue. They didn't do a damn thing for us except take our money and walk over to the room with us. Be up front about your prices and stop being a bunch of sleazebags. I'm pretty sure they have no idea how long the wait is going to be. They tell you a time, but it seems to have absolutely no bearing on how long you actually end up waiting. We could've gone to a movie and come back in time, but instead we waited on a bench in a strip mall for a long time. Who doesn't love doing that on a Friday night? Fun times! I will give them credit for having songs in many different languages. That's pretty awesome. Unfortunately, for those of us unenlightened folks who only know a lot of songs in ONE language (English), the selection is pretty awful compared to other karaoke places. It's small, and... weird. Went there for happy hour and we called ahead to confirm that it was indeed half off $18/hour from 3pm to 8pm on Saturday. We get there and there was a bit of bait and switch. My wife and I had to get a minimum of one food/beverage item each. When we went to pay, they also added that there is a 15% service charge which they didn't mention to us on arrival. Otherwise, I would have rate this higher. English selection is limited and rooms are very clean. Service was actually very good. I just think they need to be more clear upfront since even with the half off, it turned out to be pricey. We spent over $60 for 2 people for 2 hours with a pitcher of beer ($17). read more

Not bad! I actually thought this place is one of the better ones I have ever been to, simply because the sound proofing is phenomenal compared to most other karaoke places. It's clean, and they come in to explain how to operate the machines. Song selection was pretty good, and they ask if you'd like to sing only English, or a mix of Asian languages as well. The remote also had some English on it to help people who don't read Korean. The reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is because it is on the more expensive side, AND they automatically charge a 15% service fee. This place is great for karaoke outings. There a slight wait on the weekends as they tend to get busier then. During the weekdays they have happy hour prices to take advantage of. Great for group outings. The seats are comfortable and the sound system sounds better than other places I've been to. Service is good too as they are always nice and cordial. so far this is one of the best karaoke places I have visited! Alvin and I decided to do an impromptu karaoke session with just the two of us on a sunday night since we were visiting and had monday off! this place was great! they have so many nice rooms and they are nice and clean! huge plus is that they provide disposable mic covers!! I always put my hand over the mics at other karaoke places cuz I am a bit of a germaphobe! I like the the sound system and they have a cool touch screen to search for songs! They also serve snacks and beverages! I really liked the song selection too! they had songs that i've always wanted to karaoke to but have never found! we had so much fun! we only planned on staying an hour and it was 30/hr that night or sunday through thursday they had a special, all you can sing for $15/person. so we figured if we only stay an hour it would be the same price so just in case we decided to sing a couple more songs we did the all you can sing! we stayed for 3 hours! time just flew by! Fun! They have great song selections and the staff is very accomodating. Went for a birthday party for David L. and though we had to switch rooms halfway through the night, the crowding of 30 people into a small room just made the party that much more interesting AND fun! The grading system, tamborines, wigs and hats you can wear also serve to make the singing a lot more enjoyable! We had to park at the HMart market, but there is also a parking structure behind the market for any additional parking. BCD Tofu House, 85C and Korean fried chicken are located in the same plaza (Diamond Plaza) so you can hang out before and afterwards with some good food. read more

Happy Hour is a pretty good deal and soundproofing is pretty good. The interface for the video system is the usual potentially-tricky-don't-hit-the-wrong-button, but it works pretty well. And of course you get the classic karaoke-video-cuts-that-make-NO-sense for the song 99% of the time! Couches and rooms are fairly comfortable and they know the rooms get hot, so they're nice and cool inside (at least til you start singing away for hours and hours!). Main issue? As others have said some of the available songs are a little limited, at least in English. They may have 200+ pages of artists on their nifty touch-screen index (and probably more in the printed books) but the search function in the touch-screen seemed a bit incomplete or wonky for some reason, and song selection for some artists was strangely very limited. Prices are very reasonable depending on the day/time that you go. They also serve alcohol which is a plus since some KTV places don't allow it. Their flavored beer is surprisingly good... They offer a lot of variety for song choices too. Plush has a lot of poplar radio hits and they're also pretty up to date with new music in Taiwan and Korea (I think...). You can pick songs from their touch screen or their massive book of songs. They also give you those little microphone cover thingys so it's not as icky. Rooms are pretty sound proof so you don't have to overhear your neighbors singing unless you're just sitting there in silence. The room is pretty clean and the larger rooms can fit a huge party. They also have different light options for different ambiance. Doors also provide a lot of privacy since you can't see through the glass but it makes it a little hard to find your room sometimes if you forget where it is. They're open late and also split on different credit cards so it's convenient to pay. read more

About 12 of my coworkers and I came here on a Thursday evening. We took advantage of their $30 special -- It's $30 for unlimited karaoke and beer. They had Hite and Bud Light but were out of some other brands that one of my coworkers requested. The TV is a decent size. Pretty good deal! They have a good selection of music, but if you ask for a more updated list, they have a separate binder for that. They need more rap and hip hop selection! We were here as part of a bachelorette celebration for the night and they asked around about what we were going to do the rest of the night, checked to see if this activity (karaoke) was a good choice for a bachelorette, etc. They have this lychee beer that I love! Karaoke is good. I like the rooms, they are very private and cozy. Fits about 9 people comfortably. I love the touch-screen board, but there is also the option for the old-school manual flip-books. When I heard a murmur about a new "KTV" place (as they are called in China), I wanted to check it out - so I dragged my bro and two friends to see what it was all about. Turns out it was still in "soft opening" mode at the time, and so there was a 50% discount special happenings. SCORE! The room breakdowns are as such: $30/hr for a small room (3-5 people) $40/hr for a medium room (5-10) $50/hr for a large room (easily fits 10-15 max) The receptionist at the front desk told us that the promotion included a 1 drink minimum but the four of us didn't mind. We decided to go for it since it was only $15 for the hour. However, all the small and medium rooms were booked, so they upgraded us to the large room at no additional charge. Imagine four people in a spacious lounge with comfy black chairs, a large flat screen, and touch screen technology to do everything from calling the waitress to order your drinks to selecting your songs. They do serve beer here, but the menu mostly consists of tea drinks. The touch screen song panel took a little getting used to but it was much more convenient than the usual book and 6-digit code system I'm used to at Elvis?!. However, the song selection is varied and not organized easily so you have some modern songs mixed in with some really old dated songs. A tip - the employees didn't come in to give us a warning that our hour was almost over and we ran a bit over in our time so we had to pay extra....so keep a good look out on your time. If you get a large group of friends to go with you - the large room is worth it and karaoke is always good fun. read more

Not a bad karaoke place overall. Let's start by making it clear--this is a Korean karaoke place, so the biggest selection will be in Korean music. They have an okay selection for English and Japanese music--they hit all the basics and (at least in the English) have some big recent hits like Lady Gaga (you have to search in the database for her stuff, though--the books are a little outdated). In Japanese, they have a lot of anime music and at least a few songs from popular bands, but are missing folks like Angela Aki, Kokia, Onitsuka Chihiro, etc. Also, no Takarazuka songs period. :( They did have Kalafina's "Lacrimosa" and "Oblivious," though, so that was kind of a pleasant surprise. :D Sadly, no original PVs though (out of all the songs I sang anyway, but maybe they have original PVs on some of the Korean tracks?). Happy Hour pricing... we went on a Saturday and it seems that from 3pm - 8pm, all rooms are half off. That's still a bit pricey, especially because everyone in the room is required to buy a drink (or food) during Happy Hour. However, on off-peak times (Sunday - Wednesday), they have a really phenomenal-sounding deal: $15 for unlimited karaoke. The girl told me if I came in on Sunday, I could conceivably sing for their entire open time (3pm - 2am) for $15. AWESOME. *__* The service was very good--the receptionists were all super friendly and polite and were very helpful teaching us how to use the remote, etc, (because it was all in Korean and none of us could read it). They have a good selection of tea drinks and the quality was nice (think Korean boba store quality. No boba though, sadly. :() They had all the usual tea shop snacks like popcorn chicken, fish balls, etc. My friend ordered the fried fish balls, which were tasty enough and had a little surprise inside--ground pork! Lol. Kind of odd but yummy anyway. Now, the infamous screen vs books vs remote. As I mentioned, the books are outdated and are ONLY listed by song title (broken up between different languages). That's kind of a bummer for those who like a particular artist and want to sing all their hits. Because of prior warning from yelp, my friends and I didn't even attempt the touch screen. Instead, we found the best way to enter/search for songs was by using the remote. The bottom half is a full alphabet keyboard, and the way you call up the search menu is by pressing one of the 4 dark blue (I think?) buttons just above and to the right of the keyboard. The button farthest to the right changes the country of the songs you search for (check out the country flag on the screen). The button farthest to the left allows you to search by song title and the button to its immediate right allows you to search by artist. There is a button in the lower-left corner of the keyboard that allows you to switch between Korean alphabet and Roman alphabet input. *NOTE: you cannot open the on-screen search during a Japanese song because the words come up too high on the screen (i.e. the top line would get covered by the search box), so don't panic if you discover the search button isn't responding all of a sudden. You're probably just in the middle of a song where the lyrics are too high on the screen, so wait until an English song to search. So that's my remote tutorial--hopefully helpful for those of you (like me) who don't speak Korean. ;-D Overall, a very nice karaoke place that could be a good deal if you come during off-peak hours. Plus, it's in the most awesome plaza ever with lots of good restaurants, a super-popular bakery, a purikura store, and even a Lollicup and Guppy House. The college buddies and I frequent this spot to get our sang on. Hourly rates are quite pricey, so definitely try to go with other people to split the cost. They do have all you can sing rates and other "combo" rates (with options for drinks). The system is alright. You have to choose between the remote or the touch screen. If you're familiar with the remote, it's not too confusing. If you aren't, then they've got a handy sheet of paper in the booklets with english translations of each button. The songs are somewhat up-to-date, so that's nice. They've got a great assortment of international songs--pretty cool. Deducted some stars because of price and sometime the microphones don't work. I went to Plush today for my friend Steve's birthday! Plush? That's a funny name... When I hear the word plush I think of... 1) The Stone Temple Pilots song "Plush" 2) My friend Steve Chae's Girlie Japanime Action Plushies 3) A word describing a house in Cribs! 4) A word describing Steve Chae's butt! (Happy 30th B-day Steve!) By the way: the dictionary definition of "plush" is "expensively or showily luxuriously." That definition would only apply to this place if.. a) they had HD Tv's that are as tall as me (not saying much) and as wide as Steve (that's saying alot)... b) the speakers system were Bose 7.1 surround sound or QSC 12" with QSC subs. c) the mics were Shure Beta's... d) the service was of Vegas standards... e) the furnishings were made of dead animal skins (call PETA) and f) the TV came out of the wall, the table from the floor, and if the couches were revolving It seems the only thing Plush about this place is the price. $30 small room, $40 medium room, $50 large room. I sing at church for free. I play music and can sing whatever song I want for the price of my internet. At least I went today, didn't pay, just relaxed, & got to hear Steve sing with his silky, plush voice. Plush = silky as well. read more

Karaoke Lounge. It's definitely a karaoke lounge. It's a private room karaoke with a lot of different songs. They cater to all languages. My party didn't use the extra Chinese system but we were tempted to play with it. The karaoke set up is Korean style so the controller is in Korean. The Hostess who brings you to the room teaches you how to use the controller. This is very important unless you are Korean or are used to karaoke places such as this. If you check into Yelp you get some free fries; which was a pretty decent sized basket of fries. The song list is very extensive. They definitely have a lot of newer songs and a lot of classics. The price per hour for our group was $45 for a medium sized room. They said something about 15%. It was pretty nice and the cushions in the seats were leather or faux leather. I thought it was rather humorous that they list ON THE BACK OF THE DOOR the prices of things if you break something. I remember the most expensive thing that someone broke was a TV ($1000). This location must have had some crazy visitors. There are a lot of downfalls with this place, there is no call system. So if we wanted to get more drinks we had to go out of our room and ask one of the workers to get drinks. The one thing that bothered me the most was that we had to ask for a pitcher of water. I'm pretty sure it was just tap water with ice but still having to ask for a pitcher of water is a bit pathetic. My friend did order a pitcher of beer for himself and his guest. But they only brought two glasses of water along with the beer. The worst part is that LITERALLY they do KICK you out as soon as 2:00am hits. I understand that it's a business but they treated it like we were in some underground rave, the security guard flings the door open and says you gotta go. I really wanted to like this place. Really. It's nice and it serves beer and hard lemonade. The equipment is okay, indeed, better than other Karaoke places we've been. . But--unless you're in your 20's, Korean or know the Korean language, I think you're going to find the number of songs available to be pitifully thin. If you're looking for songs from the 1980's or earlier, you are going to be disappointed. And the songs they do have from those eras--well, they are just strange--maybe you've heard of the artist, but not the song. And--the song lyrics don't match up to the music sometimes and the words are mistranslated. Ugh! Frustrating. And even stranger, the videos are completely random and have nothing to do with the lyrics. The song could be about how you're getting your wild freak on with some hottie, and you're watching the video with little children frolicking around in the park or something. It's kinda creepy. For the money it cost us ($220, including tip, for 3.5 hours for six people, including everyone having a couple of beers--but only a couple each), I would expect EVERYTHING to be top-notch. Seriously, that ain't cheap. All that said, the staff is friendly and helpful. The ambiance is nice. The bathrooms are fairly clean. And because we were with fun friends, we adjusted to slim song selection and had fun. We just didn't get the song selection we wanted. We live half way between LA and Irvine--if it weren't for our friends in the OC, we'd head to Max Karaoke in Little Tokyo every time. read more

I came here with friends after dinner for karaoke and we were expecting this place to be good because we've heard good things about it from our friends. When we first arrived, they told my friend she couldn't bring in the 85C coffee she had just bought, which was a little annoying. Then, I saw an Asian girl in a bun (or with her hair up) who at first I thought was a worker's friend because she looked drunk and I'm pretty sure she was drunk or at least intoxicated. I later found out she was a worker (and one that's been working there for a while) because she came in to help us with mic issues. We had to change a room because the mics didn't work, but the new room the touch pad on the Chinese machine was screwed up but we decided to use it anyway instead of asking for another room again. My friend jokingly asked the guy who was directing us to the new room if we get free drinks and he asked the Asian girl worker, and she said "how long have you been working here, why would we give them free drinks" right in front of us, I don't know but that seemed kind of rude to me. When my friend wanted to change the machine she went to the front desk to ask and when the drunk worker saw her she looked upset asked my friend really rudely "What's the matter?" My friend was really offended by her attitude and after singing for 2 hrs we left. The price for all you can sing is pretty good, similar to other places' happy hour, but I really think it's unprofessional to let your workers get drunk while their at work. Apparently that happens a lot at Plush and I don't think under any circumstances that is acceptable for a business. read more

I've been here a few times and I just think it's alright. It's a nice place.. And basically the only ktv in Irvine area but it could use some improvements. I went yesterday and all the small rooms were taken (we only had 3 people) so we got a medium room ($45/hr + 15% service fee). The room was clean but the area under the TV screen looked like it was breaking apart and stuff. The panel where you choose songs had to be controlled by a mouse. I think the bigger rooms have touch screen. I think their pitchers are decently priced and they have a good variety to choose from. My main concern was that most of the songs I wanted weren't available! The songs were in the system but they wouldn't play. I went through at 3-4 songs like that. Some songs were also under different names so you have to type in the song and hope it's there. They didn't really keep time for us so we went a little over two hours. Good thing is they said we would still only get charged for 2 hours if we left right then. (We were already another 20 minutes into the 3rd hour) So that was nice. read more

Ambiance: - Odd smell when we walked in (kind of sewage-like) - Nice lighting - Clean front area - Parking lot (although for a Tuesday night, it was hard to find parking) Room: - We were upgraded to a medium room (nice) - However, it seemed smaller than the small rooms in K-town LA - High tech karaoke system - One of my co-workers sat back and the seat was sticky (eww!) Went there with a co-worker, $15 all you can sing, + $5 for all you can drink (non-alcoholic), per person. The environment is pretty nice, has food, good choice of drinks, clean restroom, and even an microphone cover, which is a plus. So why 2 stars? Song selection! I came here to sing, first and foremost. I couldn't find 80% of the songs I wanted to sing. Yeah, my taste is somewhat old fashioned, but come on.. I think it's a crime to not even have 20% of the hits for artists that are currently still popular. However, the biggest issue is the inconvenience of actually finding the songs... Their booklet of songs are only organized by songs, and the new stuff are all over the place. They have a touch screen system that has to be requested (can't use the booklet while using this) for you to use it. However, not only does the search function not work half the time for songs they do have, to find songs by artists, you have to flip through literally screens after screens of artists because their search function doesn't work well. Since this place is Korean, if you are here to sing Korean songs then you are probably much better off in terms of finding the songs you want. read more

This place just sucks，the front desk and managers are really unfriendly. Today is 93 fahrenheit and the AC is the room is down. Instead of lowering the price of the room or just simply apologize.....they just ' kindly' told us that there are others singing in rooms without AC. Song selection isn't as good as Elvis!? Karaoke, but it holds up in other areas. The decor is nice, they serve appetizers and beer, and there are tons of restaurants in the shopping center. Quick Tip: Park in the structure. You'll save yourself from a brain aneurysm. read more

Horrible place. Me and my friend went for birthday but the staff there and the service ruined everything. Rude behavior and Refuse to apologize. They even let the security get involved and started fighting. Save your money and don't go there. The most awful experience I have. read more

HAHA. OK so I came here once after a night of drinks and mild debauchery at the Yard House. I was with two old (hilarious) friends. Yes. Just three of us. Three of us in one big karaoke room with two pitchers of beer and one hour to drink it all and sing pop songs in the most entertaining of ways. It was a pretty darn good time. I wasn't really counting my money at that point but I don't think it was too expensive... maybe it was a little expensive... I don't know. Whatever it was, it was totally worth it. The fact that they serve alcohol is awesome too. Although I don't think we finished our two pitchers. :X They have deals during the week and all-you-can-sing nights. I'd like to go back for that some time. I tried to come on a weekend once and it was so crowded we ended up leaving, so be aware of that if you're trying to do a last minute karaoke outing on a Saturday night or something. Facilities/equipment are all new so that's nice too. Song book organization is a little confusing but we were able to get by without problem. Conclusion? 3.5 stars. :) read more
