The overall experience is not good. KARAOKE After we started sing for half an hour the "stop" button stopped working on the screen-----which means we can't cut the song and go to next one. So we asked them fix for us , it took them almost an hour and keep restarting the system and eventually moved us to a different room----why don't do it earlier? Even though they reduced one hour on our bill it still affected our mood badly. FOOD We ordered seasoned fries at first and it was amazing. We all loved it and decided to order another one. But the second one came out very differently ---not much seasoning, fries kinda soggy and not crispy at all. Try keep a consistency of you food. Price Regular price is $35 an hour for a small room and $45 for a medium room which is not a competitive price compare to other Asian karaoke I've been to around. The sound system is not good. I didn't know when you agree to be some guy's wing-(wo)man that it meant going to karaoke. A friend who was interested in some chick asked if my boyfriend and I wanted to be his wingmen last night, and somehow that meant going karaoke-ing. The wait is long, we were told that we would have to wait an hour for an available room, ended up waiting two. When we asked the first time, they told us that we were next and that someone ask requested a check. We ended up waiting another hour after that. They absolutely do not allow outside food and drinks here, which is understandable. Honestly, if you can, I would avoid buying any food/drinks here because it's expensive. $4.50 for hot milk tea? There's a Lollicup a few feet away that sells that stuff for under three bucks. The option to use either the touch screen or going old school (flipping pages in the karaoke book) is interesting. The touch screen isn't as responsive as I expected it to be especially when the place looked so new and hip. You have to seriously get the technique down in order to master the touch screen selection. What I don't get is why the windows/doors are half painted and the other half isn't. A friend and I came here and were told that the wait would be 30 minutes. We left and came back after 30 minutes only to be told that there were no rooms and that we would have to wait another hour. Just got back from Plush 3 hours ago and all I can say is that it's freakin expensive, no joke. $30 an hour is pretty expensive compared to the karaoke place (nrb) next to Balley's around the Tustin Area. But then, the only reason why it's expensive is because it's new, clean, and the sound room is amazing. The bad thing about this is that there aren't a lot of american songs to choose from, and when I say american songs, I meant songs that were from 2008-2010 (as of right now). Most of the artists they have are by Michael Jackson, Beatles, Metallica, etc. The rest of the songs variety are dominated by korean songs. =.= lame......and I'm not even lying. more than 50% of the songs they have are korean songs, i would say 25% are for the american songs, 10% for vietnamese, and the rest, 15%. I've been here quite regularly. I find it a little expensive and the newer song choices are limited, but it's a great venue. The atmosphere is really fun and classy and the beer and food choices are great. Peach beer, no need to say anything further. Pretty shitty selection of songs if you ask me. But that's why I prefer playing electric guitar and jamming with mates instead, so I'm def not a karaoke kind of person in that sense. Recently celebrated my birthday here.The only bad thing is you can't bring your own drinks,only a birthday cake is allowed.They do have beers and some finger foods which were expensive.The security guard also checks everyone's bag to see if you're hiding some liquors which I though was ridiculous. Most of the songs are in Korean so i would highly suggest for them to update more songs in english selections.I had fun anyway! Just had a birthday party in one of their large party rooms which easliy accomodated 25 of us. I was pleased with the English song selections - plenty of old and new, current stuff and a good mixture of genres. The touch screen for song selection was easy to use enabling you to easily control and delete songs. Some songs have the original videos while others have a generic video background. Unfortunately they only serve beer and soda. Maybe hard liquor to come. Didn't try any food but I hear it's good for a karaoke lounge. Overall pleased with the experience and will definitely come back. Parking is tough on the weekends so plan to get there early. read more

Although the place looks nice and is decorated really well, the service is horrible. The girl at the front desk told us that it would be a 30 minute wait. We waited outside for almost an hour and a half, and she kept on saying, "Oh, it's gonna be 5 minutes more." We went up there about 4 times, and she kept on saying the same thing. "5 minutes more." We even saw a party, the same size as ours, get a room. And they only waited for 5 minutes. Although the place is nice, the service is horrendous. They need to change their workers out, because they have no idea what they're doing. Even though this doesn't pertain to my personal experience, my friend saw cockroaches crawl across the floor and hallway. Alright so this place is pretty cool. If you like to sing and drink this place is for you. Great selection of songs and the beer is alright but who cares when you are drunk already anyways right? Open late and you can have plenty of fun with your friends. But be careful of your friends that like to hog the mic they tend not to quit and become ridiculously drunk! if i were to compare this place to karaoke in tokyo/seoul, then obviously, 2 or 3-stars....but compared to garden grove or even LA, this place is decent, a solid 4-stars to my experience. they have lots of old and new k-pop/american pop songs and a little less chinese and j-pop, but still a good amount. they even had farsi/arabic...? which i was both intrigued and confused by. hahaha i really appreciate how this place gives you new microphone covers, no thank you to mouth cooties. it's $30/hour i believe and you do have to order 2 drinks or one drink per person. read more

An asian hangout spot is not complete with out a karoke place, so Diamond Jamboree has Plush. The decore is fun, a little goth with the dark and velvet interior. It's true nolaebang style with only rooms and no open bar area for comingling of karaokers who don't know eachother. Some of the machines are a pain to work with because you have to use a touch screen that has some areas worn down from frequent use (so it's slow to recognize your selection) And I'd like a little more selection as some of the standards were not available but it's fine and they have some good happy hour specials. If you're going to do a happy hour special, try to call ahead for a reservation. Happy singing! read more

Stumbled upon this place as I was its strolling around DJ jamboree. I have to say it was a lot of fun for my first time. I find the pricing a bit pricey, but then again I am not familiar with these kinds of lounges. Only thing I was concerned of was if you are not Korean, you kind of can't really understand the remote controls, but my friends and I managed. So cool! First time to a karaoke place in Cali and it was clean, comfy seating. My rose milk tea was yummo! We sang for 4 hrs! It was great. Had so much fun with my friends. My friends who are reg karaoke goers said it was a cool place. Down side...only beer and wine?? Oh well we all order tea instead. Will come back for sure. I'm not sure how much it normally costs over here but for 8 people, 4 hrs, + 8 drinks = roughly 200? Sounds good to me but I really don't have anything to compare it to. There were always sound problems when my friends and I sang. The volume was either not loud enough, or the mics would continuously ring while we sang. The only thing I like about this place, is the decor, which is quite swanky, and the rooms don't smell! Shocking. Oh, and the security guard is nice. He gave us a thumbs up from outside the door whenever we sang his favorite tunes. Does he do that when you're singing?! Probably. He needs something to do...Do I want to come back? Very nice place i have to admit, u gotta try their rose milk tea (its delicious) if you have a sweet tooth lol. they finally have Bad Romance by Lady Gaga. the only down fall is the crappy random videos that are thrown in some of the songs. I had my birthday party here last night and it was sooooo fun! The lounge is awesome! Every room is stylishly decorated and the service is impeccable! They were really patient when we were trying to figure out how to work the system and when we changed rooms because people flaked! They offer a small selection of food if you get the munchies. The staff here are very nice and the rooms are nice and clean. I've been to other karaoke bars and Plush keeps their song list updated regularly. Of course it is pricey, but it is Irvine, it's expected. Unlike other karaoke bars, Plush serves alcohol. I've been to 'Round one' for their karaoke and their t.v.'s and room arrangement needs updating. Can't go wrong going to Plush for karaoke, you don't need to worry about belligerent drunks afterwards either. People come here to have fun with friends and to shine on the mic (at least in our heads). read more

Talk about selection of songs, I can have my coworkers all color mixtures with all night long from pop to gangster rap. Other folks were saying if you aren't Korean there's no songs to sing because they use the Korean system. If they use the touchscreen system should've been a fun night or next time ask someone when you overheard the other room singing a cool new song. Also have my Chinese friends do Chinese all night long. I m hongkonger so from Hong Kong to Taiwan to mainland singers are very up to date. Too new that I don't even know the singer.
