    Philly cheese grill shrimp poboy

The poboy is definitely NOT a New Orleans Poboy. Cashier whose name I didn't get was very inviting and friendly. The restaurant was cleaned and well kept. Great customer service and the food came out fresh and hot. I know better to compare food anywhere to Nola food , just not go happen. However the Philly shrimp sandwich had a good taste. Bread was soft and kinda buttery, didn't get a taste of a real Nola French bread. It's Not overstuffed and had maybe 10 shrimps so that was a little disappointing. Overall we enjoyed the food . Fries were hot fresh needed a lil tyke salt But still good. A-plus for having Louisiana hot sauce.

    Catfish Basket...good!!

My catfish basket was pretty good!! Fresh fish & no fishy taste or smell. The bread was even quite tasty.

Good from po boy express was great! The office ordered out today for lunch and I got the ham and Swiss poboy with a side of fried pickles. The po boy was so fresh and the fried pickles were great! The pickles were nice and thick in size and the batter wasn't too thick or soggy. Id definitely suggest this for lunch again.

I ordered large roast beef and it came out fast. It was dressed in soft toasted French bread and good amount of thin sliced roast beef. Au Jous on the side and it was thick and strong! Didn't need all off it. Taste was good, very easy to eat large portions! All in all, good place for po boys. I want to try other item's, will go there again. Price is not cheap but not terrible either. Parking is also limited and also a bit off the main road.

I had a combo PoBoy with half shrimp and half oyster. Very good. The place was well laid out and nice and clean. Service was great. I would say the seasoning on the seafood was a little strong and I found the seafood over salted. Just me tho. Also the fried oysters were a little under cooked which made it not quite to my liking. I will go back and try the catfish and the debris.

I ordered a shrimp poboy dressed, no mayo, add hot sauce, and a side of fried sliced pickles. I received fried jalapeños and one of the worse poboy I've ever had. I don't know how they messed up my order when it was repeated back to me. Poboy was not dressed and there were barely any fried shrimp. The shrimp tasted old. Poboy was overpriced af. 19.99+tax for a puny large. NEVER GOING BACK

Don't let the unassuming fast food look fool you. They make a legit shrimp Po-Boy here that won't break the bank. The shrimp where a good size and the breading was not overdone and flaky. The shrimp were not over cooked. Bread was legit as well. Fries were fine. I've had po-boys at much fancier seafood joints that were not near as good. Crawfish pies were not amazing but also pretty good. I wish I had a Po-Boy Express where I live. I'd eat there often

This place never misses. The staff is always friendly and the food is always good. This time I got a classic shrimp poboy add cheese. The shrimp were seasoned and fried perfectly. The bread is soft and the fries have a good seasoning to them as well. I love everything they have to offer. The food is fresh and made to order but doesn't take long. One of my go to places when I needed something quick.

I ordered a roast beef, Poboy and we I went home to eat it it had very small portion of roast beef and the rest of the sandwich was turkey that's misleading and to top it off they charged me $15

Hugggee portions of fries and okra. Food was good, very seasoned though, so if you got salt issues let them know. Ordered shrimp poboys, okra, salad, mushrooms, and a kids cheeseburger.the kids cheeseburger is 10 bucks for the lol guy one which could feed an adult btw so my one year old wasnt gonna smash that. That was my only complaint id go back That okra was flame

Any place that is known for their oysters will always get my vote, even when they opened during the height of COVID. They still managed to push along and became one of the city's most well-known seafood destinations. Fast forward to 2025 and it's now closed. While I'm disappointed, I can't say I'm surprised. The place went from being the new kid in town to looking dated in a short handful of years. The staff was always a mixed bag, with subpar service outpacing the occasional outstanding experiences. It was always so spacious in here but rarely full, that I never understood the need for the hostess to give my large groups of people a hard time about not making reservations. (#1) The oysters are and will always be the star of the show. I love a good raw oyster and they seemed to have a decent batch each time, however the charbroiled ones were the ones to get. They were buttery, a little messy, and heavily seasoned with lots of salty parmesan on top. It was sometimes the only worth ordering given how inconsistent the rest of the menu was. Some other go-tos were the seafood pasta, lobster mac, and even the occasional gator tacos but even those dishes had their bad days. I was actually pretty impressed with their ribeye, but was quite disappointed with the boudin balls, gumbo, and some of their fried shrimp. In addition to service snafus and inconsistent food, the prices were always a tough pill to swallow. I'm aware seafood will forever carry a premium price tag, but when other seafood places charge a lot less for better quality output, then it becomes a point of contention. While I do hope they find a reason to re-open in Baton Rouge, I think I'll stick to their original location in Metairie. I loved my friend shrimp platter, except it was bizarre when I asked for the onion rings to be left off my plate (I don't eat them and I hate to waste food). I was told they were part of the presentation and couldn't be removed...except they were pretty much on the side of the plate.

I loved the ambiance for this restaurant! Business casual and upscale vibes but not too fancy. When we were waiting to enter our room, there were several water leaks in the roof that kept dropping on us. It was in several places in the host stand areas. I didn't like this because I kept having to move. When we got to the room, again, it was nice and big. We didn't have a prefixed menu, so we got to order whatever we would have liked from the regular menu. There was such a good variety of options! I got the Brussels sprouts and boudin dip to start. I highly recommend both of these as the portion sizes were huge! The Brussels sprouts were burnt and balsamic like, which is my absolute favorite. The boudin dip came with so many crackers and was delicious. For my meal, I got the chicken paillard. It was good but the portion was very small compared to the appetizers in my opinion. The chicken was very moist and flavorful. It filled me up because I had two appetizers, but I don't think it would be enough for me without having something to go with it.

A True Hidden Gem - Lagniappe Steak & Seafood (Bluebonnet Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA)…read more I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lagniappe Steak & Seafood on Bluebonnet, and it is without question one of Baton Rouge's best-kept restaurant secrets. On my first visit this past Wednesday, I ordered the fried shrimp and catfish lunch special, and immediately knew this place was different. The seafood was perfectly seasoned--not overly salted or heavily breaded, just a delicate, crisp coating that highlighted the freshness and natural flavor. The servers were exceptionally professional--friendly and attentive without being overly familiar, which I truly appreciate. What took the experience to the next level was when Anas, the manager or owner, personally came out to check on my meal. She was tall, poised, and stunning--truly looked like she could walk a high-fashion runway in Paris! Her elegance and hospitality added a touch of class you just don't see often anymore. I was so impressed that I returned two days later--the day after Thanksgiving--to try the grilled pork chop I've been hearing people rave about. Let me tell you... WOW. It was phenomenal. Juicy, tender, perfectly grilled with picture-perfect char marks--honestly felt like eating a premium steak. I give it a 10/10 without hesitation. On that visit, Jennifer was my server and she was fantastic--attentive, warm, and highly professional. Now here's the part that blows people's minds: these incredible meals were part of the lunch special, priced similarly to what most folks spend at a fast-food restaurant for a two-piece combo with fries and a drink. Same price--completely different level of dining. And for those who don't know: I've traveled all over the world and I am the ultimate foodie--something my followers know well. I live for great cuisine, authentic flavor, and memorable dining experiences. So when I tell you this place is worth your time, believe me. --- When in Baton Rouge, go to Lagniappe Steak & Seafood. You will not be disappointed by the ambience, service, or the quality of the food. A genuine 5-star dining experience and without a doubt one of the finest hidden gems in the city.

Looking forward to going back--especially once the weather warms up so I can enjoy the patio!
