As a solo customer I was sensitive to not taking one of the attractive 4 top tables by the windows, so I sat more off to the side at a high top. The omelette I got was absolutely amazing. When first served, I thought: OMG this is huge, I'll never finish it!! Turns out, I finished it all- it was THAT tasty. My only bit of feedback is that the wait staff was also using the long high table I was at to clean menus. So at one point my drink and plate if food when through some residual shaking. The breading lacked ANY seasoning and didn't stay on the fish. My husband got the chilaquiles and ribeye which tasted okay, but not $36 tasty. The ribeye was over cooked and was not seared at all. Been to the restaurant twice now. It was busier than the last time we went. We were seated by the windows and it was nice and bright. They have an outdoor patio which would be good for warmer days. The service was consistently excellent! Ordered a mimosa this time and I wish it was bubbly. The calamari appetizer was seasoned perfectly and the fried onions was a great addition. My boyfriend loves the Roadhouse Omelette so I ordered one for myself. It was good and filling. It was a little too dry for my taste. I think it needs something creamy or saucy. Maybe sliced avocado or having sour cream on top of the omelette would be better than on top of the thick mash potato-like hash browns. It was still hearty and good. Were visiting from the Bay Area and are huge foodies. We stopped here for breakfast and the food was amazing, everything is made to order so its extremely fresh. They have gluten free and vegan options. The service was great, the staff is so sweet. Everything is clean and I love the wood tables. The ambiance is elegant cozy cabin. We were hungry and decided upon Point Reyes. Parking on the side of the road before HWY 1. Walked in, very cool location, decor, welcoming, inviting. We received a warm welcome from the host. She was extremely accommodating. Very clean inside with a lovely breeze. We ordered the fig with pistachio salad. I was very surprised w this combo. I loved it, along w the dressing. Very good combo. I ordered from the special menu, shrimp tacos, my fiancé, a burger and calamari. The calamari was ok. Didn't have the best flavor, could do without the onions. I also do enjoy the thicker bigger pieces of calamari fried. The tacos however, were absolutely phenomenal!!! Top notch, from the crunch, the flavor, the way the shrimp was seasoned, the cabbage, the amount in the taco the sauce.. oh wow! The best tacos I've had in quite some time!! My fiancé loved his burger, the softness of the bun. The lemonade was delicious. Prices are a little uo there, but I have to say, my experience with the tacos and salad, have me wanting more! I would love to come back and explore the menu. It seems like a lot of locals go there, they know them by name and talk to the host or maybe owner, so that's pretty awesome. Kind of disappointing. Undercooked hash browns, barely warm let alone cooked (or crispy). Pancakes were tasteless, and cakey, coffee weak. And super expensive for what you get. We showed up a few minutes before it was supposed to open (9) and noticed that there were no workers inside the restaurant, as we'd expect to see them getting the place and kitchen ready. We shrugged it off and figure we just couldn't see them. 9:07 rolled around, still no one was there, so we decided to go elsewhere. Should have written this sooner) we eat ribeye most nights being carnivore, so I know how many ounces I can eat. It also came out pre-cut which I despise and they trimmed all the fat off. We visit Point Reyes often and we're so sad that Station HouseCafé had to move across the street, with no outdoor seating. We thought about just getting sandwiches at the market, but then we passed the roadhouse and thought we'd stop in. We are so glad we did! The food is a bit pricey, but the service and quality of ingredients rivals many much more expensive and fancier places I have gone to! My DH had what theycalled Miwok hash, which was a platter of sautéed vegetables with some cheese and seasonings. That is one of the best vegetarian dishes I have ever eaten. If you wanted more protein, you could add eggs, but it was great just as it was and very filling. I had what might've been the best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life, including the best bacon I have ever eaten. If I ever find out where they get that bacon, I may have to get a few pounds of it for myself! A fresh toasted roll, with fresh local beer - a perfect meal! We talked with the server for quite a while, as we had never been there although we passed it a few times. She said they opened right in the middle of the pandemic and didn't know if they were going to make it, but they're so happy that customers have found their delicious food and great service to be worthwhile. While the menu is small, they have something for every taste and for every meal. We hope that people will support this great local business that has indoor and outdoor seating, wines, and beer by the glass and friendly service. We know we will be back! read more

Very tasty food in a delightful location just outside Point Reyes station, very convenient to Point Reyes National Seashore. We went for brunch, sat outside (seating area separated from the highway by barrels and straw bales). We got the pancakes with pumpkin purée, which was amazingly smooth and rich, a lovely balance of flavors, and the tenderloin omelette, which was full of tiny diced bits of browned tenderloin, charred corn, sautéed onion and sharp white cheddar. Not a blend I'd have thought of, but it was delicious. The hash browns were underwhelming, but the sourdough toast went nicely with the extra butter from the pancakes. A heads up: the hours on Yelp are wrong. They close at 3 p.m. General we found that restaurants in the Tomales Bay Area close earlier than listed online. Our hotel staff recommended reservations, which would have been a smart move. read more

What a find! This place is new but they have hospitality plus! Located on a curve, this spot is hard to miss. I was kinda expecting good food in a paper bag atmosphere. But it was gourmet fare in classic white dishes and glassware. It is not fine dining though. We ate the Fish Sandwich and it was Gooood! A lightly battered filet of halibut on a brioche bun with a lettuce and tomato and aioli. Served with some killer fries. I admit, I like Cobb Salads but I always expect one element to be mediocre. There are so many components to a good Cobb salad it is hard to get them all at their peak. You know, the chicken could be dry or the bacon bits day old? Not here! I ate here with my mom, hoping to have a nice breakfast, hoping to have a hearty tasty start to the day, I did not have my hopes that high BUT it is west Marin and the plate prices for breakfast start at $16-20. So I figured when ordering a simple eggs and bacon w toast, and Benedict we would get something edible. Alas- this was too high an expectation. I have never tasted a Benedict so sour, so broken down and so boring. It was so bad I actually scraped as much of the hollandaise sauce as possible off the english muffin, which wasn't even toasted, so it was merely soggy underneath. The Benedict tasted like it was almost half lemon juice actually, and very thin almost translucent. This broke my heart as I absolutely love a good Benedict and eat them regularly at cafes that make hearty thick creamy sauces. I have a thing against causing a scene in restaurants, snd even if I am the only one in the restaurant- we were- I just chalk it up to my reasoning that 'If they didn't make the thing right the first time, how can they learn to make a good Benedict sauce in 15 min and fix it the second time for me here and now?' But maybe , on their own time, later they can learn to make one. Mom told me she did not even care for her simple poached egg breakfast so something just felt off, but maybe it can be addressed and resolved. Service was fast for takeout at 5:30, but the food quality and quantity wasn't great for the price. $38 for what looked like 4oz of salmon swimming in butter on top of some sort of rice that was kind of like a risotto and a few pieces of wilted spinach on top. They said it was rice and mashed potatoes, but unless the potatoes were mixed in with the rice, maybe it was left out? The risotto was overpowered with lemon. The shrimp tacos were ok, but just 2 smallish shrimp per taco. I was debating ordering an appetizer in case it wasn't enough food, but the woman who took my order assured me the tacos were huge. Unfortunately, we were left slightly hungry, since the tacos didn't come with any sides. Two only right now. This joint has potential but at this point it's an expensive pop-up. I had the costliest (3 slices) french toast order of my life today. $17 and a glass of mediocre orange juice. Now it's true if this place is all organic and so on, tasteless oranges might be forgiven. But who knows? No sign of the usual Pt Reyes local/organic specifications I could see. One good thing; they are only spot (other than Bovine Bakery) open early in Pt Reyes. So there's that. Interesting menu offerings but pricey pricey. I sense they are hastily thrown together and feet not planted firmly yet. I had interesting French Toast on a bed of puréed pumpkin. OK but $17 for three slices of bread? $12 would be more in line. Dunno about other menu items. I am here a lot, walk around the village a lot, and decided to give this a try. The prices for breakfast are eye-watering. I will try again. Interesting the place was filling up early as the Side Street Diner not open yet so market (no I give up that it's not a Denny's town) is there for serious early breakfast - but they are not there yet. read more

Visiting Pt. Reyes annually, we having been coming here for breakfast since it opened because Station House no longer served breakfast. We came on weekdays so we didn't experience the long wait others mentioned. However, there was a day when we arrived after 8 am and it wasn't opened yet. But after learning how far employees travel to open the restaurant and knowing the limited routes to it, we just came in a little later. We typically order the Seaside Breakfast and although some restaurants can ruin eggs, the Roadhouse's eggs are always perfect. read more
