Hawaii Poke Bowl, Black Dragon Sushi Burrito (takeout)
    Michael C.

Some great offerings at this clean and inviting venue. We went during a food walk in the ID and the service was still so fast and friendly. I was surprised how much I liked the Sushi Burritos. I generally make fun of sushi fusion (burritos, donuts, etc). If it helps others who feel similar , it's basically a sushi hand roll. I've now tried three of these: the titan crunchy, the black dragon, and the aloha sunset. All are delicious. The poke was less impressive. I had the Hawaii Poke Bowl. The flavors were bland and the additions didn't really meld for me. I'd recommend doing the "build your own" bowl if you're going the poke route.

I would say this restaurant should be more like a 3.5 stars. I am giving it a 4 because of all the different options they offer and the amount of veggies they put on top (if you choose to do so). Since about 3 years ago, I have been eating very clean. I still eat unhealthy foods for taste but less than 10% of my meals. I work in international district and we do not have many "healthy" options so I typically just pack my own lunch. But a place like this, you have the option to eat as a healthy and unhealthy as you want. Take a look at the all the veggies I asked and they put on top of my bowl (included in the base price). Not only the amount, so many varieties of vegetables. The price isn't necessarily cheap but it is not very expensive either. I did not try but they even offer burritos with poké inside. It was harder to tell from other reviews and photos on yelp but they do have some limited seatings if you have to dine in. They did get rid of the seating area that the previous business at this location set up though. It was pretty empty on a Thursday lunch. Service was okay but limited. They use paper to-go containers for your food. As far I could tell, the bowl was not lined with plastic. Which is a huge plus! Portions are big. And as mentioned, the price isn't cheap but not too outrageous. Taste is above average for poké. Definitely better than the one inside Uwajimaya.

This spot was alright! I'd never had a poke burrito, that's what appealed to me. The burrito itself was DENSE, I was pretty full by the time I finished it! It didn't have as much variety as a regular poke bowl so honestly I wouldn't order it again but it was easy to eat while driving and I had another 45 mins to drive so I was glad I could multitask eating dinner and being on the road! There was no line when I came and the server was quick, I was inside maybe 5 minutes total? There's no free street parking that I saw, and honestly not even any spots nearby - I ended up leaving the car with the emergency on a couple blocks away in one of the only open spots I could find. It was a Monday around 6-7pm. Overall: wouldn't seek this spot out again per se but if in the area sure I would come again!

If I was in school I would go here every day. The poke is fresh and they come in portable boxes that can be easily split in half and shared with friends. It's not the best sushi burrito ever but it's what you expect. There are seats along the window to watch people pass by and in the park.

Pokerrito was fresh and made to order very quickly by friendly staff. The establishment was clean and bright.

Took over the GoPoke space. They have an ordering tablet if you want to self-service your order. Got rid of the tables and bars in the space so it's more open. Would be great if they continue GoPoke's tradition of using their space for pop-ups. Got the Yuki Sakura sushi burrito. Took a bit of time but I chalk it up to opening day and ironing out their process. It came in a neat box that you can rip into 2 containers that nicely holds half of the burrito. Vegetables had a nice fresh and crunchy bite to them. Higher quality than IJ Sushi Burrito I had to compare it to today and a bit cheaper. Unrelated note, they played a lot of Taylor Swift music my wife enjoyed.

Never had a sushi burrito yet and tried this. I can't tell the difference between sushi and poke burrito. Also ordered Chicken Karrage but, chicken was mot that fresh. I definitely enjoyed poke burrito I customized. Will comeback for more pokerrito.

Got the salad bowl with tofu and imitation crap. Its delicious! Happy to know they have non-raw options for us pregnant ladies to get Service was fast and very clean inside. Big plus, they have those hawaiian sodas

Yummy and perfectly refreshing for a warm day. The service was fast and the lady working was really sweet. The vibe in there is a little too cool and generic to me, like not very comfy. But they've only just opened so I don't totally blame them! :)

We ordered a yuki Sakura burrito and poke salmon bowl. Unlimited toppings was a great idea, fresh food and good service. i will be back soon.

Super good value for money! Might even be better than the last poke place that was here. We got poke bowls, and they were filled to the brim. Love the variety of toppings, and the fish is nice and fresh. Appreciated that we were given sauces even though we didn't ask for them! Highly recommend.

This was at 12:30PM and there was a long line out the door and around the corner, taking almost 30 minutes. I had previously visited on a rainy winter weekday for lunch and there wasn't a line at all. What a difference the day and weather can make! While in line we could see the chefs cutting up ahi fresh right in front. The longer line gave me time to chat with the owner as he was trimming off the skin and other bits. I learned that tuna skin is much tougher than salmon skin so can't be eaten like salmon skin chips. He also said that the trimmed parts can be taken for free if anyone wants them. Apparently they make good crab bait! Medium w/ Rice, Traditional Limu Ahi, Hamachi, Mac Salad ($21.50) - I love the Hamachi poke mix. It's fresh, tender, and buttery fish tossed in a creamy and slightly spicy sauce, filled with little briny pearls and plenty of aromatics giving a super umami bite. The Limu Ahi is very fresh as well - I mean, it's sliced right in front, and there's so much turnover of the food that's it's pretty much guaranteed fresh. The tuna is fresh and tender, but there's noticeably more sinew compared to the hamachi. The Mac Salad is also really good. It's super creamy and the macaroni isn't overcooked so it still has some bite. The rice is unfortunately the weakest item in the bowl. It's a little too dry for my tastes and is only lightly tossed with rice vinegar, giving a tangy flavor. Overall all the poke is fresh, the flavors all meld together into a delightful balanced bite, and the sauces are not overwhelming. Ono Poke definitely serves some great poke! They share parking spots with the rest of the plaza and it's not difficult to find a spot if you're willing to walk just a few extra feet. Went for an oddly timed meal on a Saturday around 4PM and they still had all their poke options. There are about 6-8 tables in the store, but quite a few folks take their meals to go. It's definitely not the cheapest meal option, but the poke is absolutely delicious and the fish is unbelievably fresh I tried the Shoyu Salmon, Spicy Tuna, and the Hamachi; all of them were incredible. The Hamachi is only available on weekends and the fish is so fatty it almost melts in your mouth with the creamy and tangy sauce. The Shoyu Salmon is incredibly succulent and just a classic knocked out of the park with a great balance of fresh, salty, and slightly sweet. I'm normally a tuna hater, but the texture is excellent with a nice bite and great spice level.

Georgetown has some nice hidden gems and I would consider this one of them... just good,…read moreno-nonsense Japanese rice bowls of comfort. If you're a fan of Red Bowl in Financial District, this place has a similar vibe with its approach to rice bowls. Having been here twice on different weeks, I think this will become one of my go-to places in the area when I'm craving fresh seafood on a weekend south of downtown. LOGISTICS Parking is convenient for Georgetown area, given they have a dedicated lot for customers of businesses in the area. Entering in, you order through the kiosk and if you're dining in, you can seat yourself and they'll bring the order to you. The space is small for larger groups but if you're 4 people or less, generally there are tables available on off peak hours (at least what we observed Sat/Sun). Ordering happens at the kiosk, which you can choose for takeout or to dine in. Keep in mind there are some items available for dine-in only (ex. udon or seared salmon bowls), but if you plan on doing takeout anyways you can order online or call ahead for pickup. Note - they do close at 2:30 pm but re-open at 4:30 pm. So long as you get your order in by 2:30 pm they'll still service you... which was nice since the last two times we came in around 2:00 PM. FOOD First off, they have nice nice presentation both in how the food is arranged and the bowls they use when dining in. From the ceramic/decorative bowls to the trays they use... it's the little things that add to the dining experience and make you think a business cares about its food. (Note: there was one time we had initially ordered togo but decided to eat in person; so they kept the food in plastic bowls for one of my photos.) In every bowl we had during our two visits, the rice was excellent! We've had some terrible rice at other donburi places before where it can be too overcooked or too mushy. Fortunately their seasoned rice was a good texture and tasty to eat on its own. The seafood was also excellent for the price / quality - fresh tasting with a melt-in-your mouth texture. Volcano Bowl: Spicy salmon + spicy crab salad w/ masago - despite the description it wasn't too spicy (siracha mayo) but it went really well with the rice, like a deconstructed sushi roll. I liked mixing in some wasabi to give it a stronger kick. Aburi Sake Bowl (seared salmon bowl): This is only available to order for dine-in; if you love salmon... I would recommend this one. Seared salmon is delicious seafood umami. I liked how the salmon had the right amount of fattiness too. Chirashi Bowl: If you like variety, then this is an excellent bowl to try a little bit of everything. I was amused that they also included unagi (I don't think I see that in most chirashi bowls). Even the shrimp, which is usually my least favorite part of chirashi bowls, tasted good with a slight sweetness. OVERALL Awesome place and a good location for the area given there's parking available. Price was just right for the quality (I'm amused how much cheaper good seafood is here in Seattle compared to the Bay Area) and the staff were really friendly. There are also two excellent bouldering gyms nearby (Castle Climbing Club and Momentum)... so if you're looking to recharge after a climbing session, I would highly recommend coming here!

The taste was unfortunately very bland, no significant sear in the salmon, and the soy sauce didn't add anything memorable to the bowl. The Una-Gyu Don wasn't bad, but the broiled eel with sukiyaki just wasn't special enough to make you crave it again. The location has a parking lot next door at least. Internally the dining space is narrow and fills up quickly at opening times in the weekend. Order at the counter or kiosk, and they'll deliver the food to your table, which you bus yourself at the end.

There are no bells and whistles here, just excellent service, fair prices, and fantastic food. There are only a handful of tables, which is really meant for solo diners and two people at best. There is a handful of takeout patrons at any given time, but that's only because of the wait. It's far more enticing to sit in and experience the magic that exists in every bowl. Water is self-serve and thankfully presented in a filtered water tank that spits out cold, delicious water. A majority of the bowls are between $13-16 each, which in today's foodflation economy seems expected. The good news is that the portion is substantial in every bowl. My go-to is their chirashi, which is roughly $19 but features a nice array of fish cuts that include salmon, chopped fatty tuna, masago, fresh water eel, shrimp with albacore and another dose of tuna. The unagi don is their most expensive bowl at nearly $21, but the broiled unagi with the eel sauce that is dynamite. The textures, the sweetness, and the size is all on point. And due to its status as a teriyaki city, I think the chicken teri don is an excellent alternative to all the seafood. The teriyaki hits all the right flavor notes, with just enough sweetness with the tenderness of the chicken meat. Add in another $1 and it's a spicy version. I so wish there was something like this in my neck of the woods. If I lived in Seattle, this would be a weekly destination. I'm already looking forward to my next visit(s).
