This place has gone downhill. 3.5 stars The story of heartbreak: This is hard for me to say... but I don't LOVE this place like I once did. Maybe it's me, but I think it's you, Poke Bistro. At one point in time, the very thought of this place made my heart race and my hands clammy: it was true love. A large bowl of white rice (I don't order salad ever, why would I start now?!) topped with a beautiful bed of seaweed salad, hawaiian salmon, masago, avocado... and don't forget the sprinkling of happi- I mean, sesame seeds. BUT NO MORE!! Gone are the days where eating this brings me to tears (no lie), and long past are the days where they stuffed their bowl so I had enough for another meal later (two meals for the price of one? F YEAH!) I've been here with my friends a lot in the past, but our recent visit left us feeling disappointed. I ate before our visit, so I wasn't hungry: but I still managed to finish my entire bowl! I wish I took a photo, but the serving was very sad. Poke Bistro, how could you do me so wrong?! I drove so far for you! I made a torturous trip to the middle of nowhere... to have a bowl of AIR! Dramatic-ness aside, I really do think this place isn't as amazing as it once was. The portion size has shrunk; the bowl was a lot less filled than usual, my friend's burrito was lackluster and the fish quality was sub-par (stringy). I also think they overdid it with the sauce (very salty). The service is also lacking (zero smiles...) Overall, I still like this place a lot... but it's not the five star gem that I once thought it was. If you're in the area and want poke though, I still recommend this place. I LOVE poke bistro! I have cravings for it all the time! Their tuna is so good and all of their ingredients are super fresh. They are SO GENEROUS with toppings you can pretty much get anything you like! And the prices are great. Oh and the burrito is AMAZING - fresh seaweed, skillfully wrapped and so delicious. I can't rave about this place enough. Seriously go check out this hidden gem but don't make the line too long for me haha read more

This place used to be awesome, been coming here over a year. The fish tastes fresh and they have many choices for toppings and sauce. However, recently they started charging .50 for a small scoop of avocado and their portions of fish have gotten smaller and smaller. I pointed it out to the guy and he said they get yelled at for portions by the owner so now they're skimping hard. Due to the decrease in portions of fish and toppings and the charging for avocado, I don't think I'll be going back. I'm not paying 13.00 for a bowl of rice. read more

Consistently great food. Their sauces are tasty and they have a lot of options. This is my go-to spot for fast food, hands down. I was concerned I wasn't going to find a good poke spot when I moved to the IE but I was thankfully wrong. Fish and rice is always fresh. I use to love going here, especially pre Covid times, but now what a rip off. I asked for a regular bowl with white rice, which was skimpy already. Then they asked what toppings, I implied I only wanted cucumbers (because that's all I eat) and was given literally 4 little slices. Then I said could I get extra just fill the bowl with it. She said eat little scoop is $.75 extra. I'm like seventy-five cents! That's crazy. And don't even get me started with the fish portions. Anyways the bowl came out to $16. I just bought a whole slab of salmon, weighing 1.8lbs for $13. Im going to stick to that, way cheaper and more fresh! read more

Tasty food and beautiful presentation. Very helpful staff made suggestions about sauces that got me out of my rut, and I like how much more flavorful it turned out. Excellent air conditioning (a must for insanely hot weather we're having). Definitely my new favorite poke place! read more

First time here, Customer service was ok, it was a bit busy so i get that customer service sometimes goes out the window. Price to portion is ok, big bowl , kind of small scoops, i got a batch where they were scraping the bottom of the barrel, but i don't know if the day i went was just an off day but the meat wasn't as fresh as well. Tuna was a bit old ( brownish color ) I'm not much of a picky eater as well, but for some reason, i don't know if cross contamination was a thing that day but after finishing my bowl, it had a weird odd taste. Roughly 30-40 minutes later, my stomach was just super rough, tried drinking some water to calm it, but next thing i know, i was throwing up the poke i just ate, and prior i didn't have anything to eat before. The meat was brown and rice wasn't cooked or over cooked. Definitely got food poisoned from here, idk if it was an off day but just wanted to share my experience. read more

This is the best Poké place in Riverside! The portions are good. The rice is delicious--which only goes to show the dedication to quality in every aspect of the bowl. The employees greet you right as you walk in, and are very attentive throughout the ordering process. I was very impressed by how welcoming the staff was, and how helpful they were when recommending items. The fish tasted fresh and was well-marinated. The sauces were flavorful and the employees put an adequate amount of each sauce to achieve a well-balanced bowl. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I will be coming back! read more

I thought this place was going to be amazing. There were so many options! I was excited! I thought the portions were small for the price. Coming from Hawaii, I'm used to getting a poke bowl for 6.99-8.99 with fresh fish! This place the fish was old! My first taste and it was fishy and gross! The spicy tuna was gross! I'm very sad to be updating this review in such a manner. Multiple things going on here. They change employees a lot. I'm not sure what's the deal with that but that to me is an overall red flag. This means more new people more training more people that do not know what they are doing. So... the last two times I've been here I've noticed a few changes. 1. They now charge for avocado. I would not mind this if they gave more than a dime size of avocado. 2. Prices have gone drastically up. When they first opened the regular bowls were about $8.99. Expect to spend about $30 for two. I'm very upset because this is my favorite poki place is my area. However, looks like I will be venturing out. Shame on you poki bistro. There's a lot of new local places that serve poki. read more

For a small size bowl you're paying over 13 dollars. Though the fish is fresh and they have a nice selection of sauces to choose from, the bowl is very shallow and you barely get any rice. First time coming to Poke Bistro and the gentleman who helped me was very nice and patient. It was a Nice and clean place. My base was half white rice and half salad. I got the spicy cooked shrimp and baked salmon. loaded it with a bunch of topping. Paid 50 cents more each for quac and an extra scoop of crab meat which wasn't bad in price. Only complaint is the baked salmon was a little dry. But it's worth going back again. read more

Soooo yummy! Staff here is always so kind and patient. Poke taste amazingly fresh (not frozen) and they actually serve the rice cold (just how it's supposed to be). This place got me into loving poke and it'll always be my preferred spot. Give them a try!!! I love the spicy salmon and Hawaiian tuna. Service: it was okay and server didn't even hear me a couple of times or even completely ignored me when I had asked her to add something for me. Food: one of our housemates recommended we go here, so my other housemate and I decided to go and try. We DEFINITELY had better poke before and there are other poke places in Riverside we would rather go too. We aren't sure if they were having a bad day with their fish, didn't taste fresh and their fish ratio to rice compared to other places was less. The rice was whatever. I got the spiciest level of sauce. But the server suggested I only do half but then she didn't even put the rest on a side container for me just in case if I needed to add more. Customer service: minimun stars. They dont smile and go quick when i am the only one in line. They make you feel rushed and sound loke robots just repeated what you want and moves on. Their scoop size is the size of a tablespoon, its 90:10 ratio, 10% fish. only pro is they do not charge extra for avocado or crabmeat. But its a tablespoon size. The price for the poke bowl are not over priced. My previous poke experience was at a poke restaurant in moval, and that place served smaller portions. But when I saw my bowl at poke bistro, it consisted of a bigger portion than the one in moval. So I really liked that. Now for the taste, it's pretty good, the fish was fresh.
