I must agree with all the recent reviews for this new Poke place that opened up. My daughter and I were sitting in my car right outside this place waiting for a friend to join us. In and out people were coming and going with mostly take out option. We decided to eat in. They have an assembly line similar to Panda Express with your next station as you move down the line. First different options for the bottom of your bowl...white rice, brown rice, salad, combo and you continue on to fill that bowl with raw fish, shrimp, tofu....the same size bowl is used for both the regular and large. The only difference is how many scoops of fish you get. Regular is 3 scoops but large in 5 scoops for $3 more. Then your next station for toppings like fruits and veggies. Right now their grand opening promotion is buy 1 get one half off till May 4th. Customer service was great. Most everyone was learning how a poke place worked. We got 4 bowls, each made to our own liking. They also have macaroon ice cream with different flavors like coffee or green tea, which my daughter got and said it was delicious. Even though the line was long, it went by pretty fast considering we have to tell them what to put in our bowl. We will be back! read more

First time eating here or even poke. I was a little nervous but I made sure to tell him it was my first time here. I got mine over rice with some yellowtail, shrimp and salmon. I got the teriyaki sauce and some other white sauce. Cucumbers, Crispy onions, some other stuff... I don't know all the rest, but I was very pleased with the taste. It reminded me of the best flavors of sushi all in a bowl of food. I spent about $15 total. I will go back again for sure. Also very fast service. read more

Loved it!! The portion sizes were good and fairly priced, the fish tasted fresh! The seaweed salad mix was amazing! The spicy tuna wasn't the best, a little too whipped and could be a bit spicier, but everything else Was top notch! The kimchee was delicious! The sauces were good. I used to go to sushi once a week and spend a fortune trying to satisfy my craving then, I discovered poke and now I go there instead and save way more money and still satisfy my fish cravings. Great new find in south Carson City. Excellent for the raw fish lover, as well as vegan / vegetarian. Basically you "build" your bowl. All bowls are the same size, the price difference is in how many (or how much) of the various protiens you want (several types of raw fish, cooked shrimp or chicken, tofu, etc). Then you add the rest of your meal - rice? salad? sauces? toppings? You betcha! Choose one for a minimalist approach, or several, for a flavorful mix. The fish is very fresh, as are all the veggies. I had the yuzu sauce which was quite tangy, and plan on returning to try out some of the others. Definitely will be back. read more

So Carson City is in the high desert and not known for Poke. This place is really good compared to the poke I've tried in Hawaii and NorCal. Having this restaurant in this area is awesome. I have eaten here three times and each experience was great. Good variety of ingredients, even for someone with a food allergy. The protein tastes very fresh. I have a gluten allergy and the owner is very knowledgeable about ingredients. The last time I visited I found out one of the staff members has a gluten allergy as well and she was very knowledgeable and helpful with her guidance on what ingredients are safe. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I have dined in and taken food to go. I didn't have an issue with the space but probably not best for large parties. They also offer gluten free soy sauce and desserts. I would recommend this place and look forward to going in the future. read more

This place is amazing the food is killer the service is ok what you get used to this day and age of well at least some one is working but nice enough. But make sure you get it when you can they run out of a lot of options ( well at least the ones I can have) so some of the time you are out of luck but worth a try for sure but make sure you have a back up in case they don't have it. read more

I absolutely LOVE poke bowls and now that I live back in Carson I just had to try this place out. Upon walking in a woman cleaning tables quickly welcomed me to the restaurant. The woman behind the counter was a different story. She was just... dull. Not that it's her job to entertain me but I stood at the counter awkwardly until she decided to speak to me. Seeing as it was my first time, I was too sure what was expected of me and she didn't make it any easier. She wasn't rude per say but kind of made me uncomfortable, almost like an inconvenience. Anyway, about the food... that's what got my 4 star rating. It was fresh and delicious and had a decent amount of toppings. I must say though, tortilla chips are a little odd. I probably won't do that as my base again. As I was checking out I realized I forgot wasabi and asked for some on the side. I was literally looking at to go cups with lids and then the woman grabs a little paper cup with no lid even though my order was to go... thanks, lady. Very good and fresh. It's nice to have a quick healthy options. I got the salad base with spicy tuna (not spicy), octopus and yellowtail. Added on kimchi, cilantro, jalapeno, seaweed salad, pineapple, ginger, crispy onions and crispy garlic. My one wish is a sauce that isn't soy or mayo based.
