I have an unhealthy obsession with poke as it is and this place is definitely not helping. But if you're looking for authentic Hawaiian style poke in the desert? This is the place to be. Hands down, the best in town like everyone else has said. I refuse to go to any other poke place. The workers are always so nice and helpful too. They really try to get to know the community. You order by the pound so I usually just order the fish and cook rice at home to eat with it. Variety of options, sauces, etc. Their menu shows as ahi but you can always ask them to make it for salmon. My favorites so far tend to be the ones with spicy mayo as the sauce. Garlic ahi is good, you can taste the freshness of the fish and they have a side of shoyu or ponzu with it. The spicy ahi combo and the lavaflow are my favorites so far. It's hard to find good poke and for me I only like Hawaiian poke. I went to the other location and it was good. This one was recommended and otw out of town. Walking in, there's a line immediately. You line up order and out. Smaller than the other location but a star above in my book. I cannot remember the name of who helped us but he gave us all bombbb recommendations. Everything was good. We got a cooler bag he got us ice and helped pack it. 10/10 I love this place and his service was top tier. I have to be back here specifically for that service and rack up points. read more

I think just about everyone in Vegas recommends this place, you just need to go early because all locations can easily sell out. I feel like the simplest argument is would you rather spend 25$ on two sushi rolls or get a lb of your favorite fish and enjoy it for less. They are friendly have lots of great options from seaweed salad and mussels to great poke between tuna, yellowtail and salmon. July 14, 2023 - Friday! Yay I made it to Poke Express! What I learned for the first time is that they get Poi on Thursday's! Smiles and friendly faces and most of the time they are always busy. They have many other local Hawaiian favorites and of course the insulated bags. If you get to the counter and you don't see something you want they are definitely making another batch. I do know that Salmon is usually the first to run out fast, so I recommend you go early. Poke is always available until they close for the day. Wednesdays they are always closed. I always get the Wasabi Ahi Poke, Kim Chi Raw Crab, Dried Aku if they have any, Lomi Salmon if I'm in the mood, Sashimi if it's available and on occasion Taegu. Mystery Arm always gets Spicy Ahi with Mayo and Salmon with Ponzu Sauce, lol if we go early enough. My son loves his Ahi with Limu Poke. And you must get rice with Furukake. Being that I am from Hawaii, Poke Express is definately top of my list! It may be a small shop but it's just perfect, not to big and not to small and you always see customers smiling. Sometimes if the person in front of me is debating, I tell them what I think they may like, several times they ordered what I suggested. They even have sides like Taegu, dried aku. Today we got the Furikake Ahi Poke. It was seasoned nicely and the the ahi was soft and fresh! Super good! We also got the Spicy ahi with Mayo. This is our go to and it never disappoints! Super soft fresh ahi with hints of masago. Dry Aku was good! Super flavorful. Almost like a fish jerky! Lastly we got the Taegu, which is dried cod fish. We just went to Kauai, and were shocked that the poke we tried at several locations was not as good as this spot. Poke express is super legit, and consistently good. Stopped by before we left Vegas and I'm so extremely glad we did! Upon arriving we were very indecisive about what we wanted to order but the staff were so patient with us and gave us a bunch of recommendations! We were able to sample different kinds of poke before we decided on what we wanted to get and we ended up getting everything we tried: salmon poke, garlic ahi tuna, pau hana, and lava flow! The pau hana and lava flow were recommended to us by the staff and turns out they're the top two items and they were amazing! We also got two scoops of rice per bowl and they were huge servings, as well as crab salad (so creamy) and seaweed salad which were great add ons. Everything came out to about $36 which was definitely worth the price and amount of portions they gave us. Additionally we got some Hawaiian snacks that they sold on the side and the staff we asked for recommendations and also got all of the ones they mentioned which were also delicious!! The shop is quite small and doesn't have any seating so we were in and out within 10 minutes, the line gets long sometimes but it goes fast because there a few staff members helping customers! With this place being the number one Hawaiian eats spot in Las Vegas according to Yelp and being so close to me, I decided to pay this place a visit for a solo lunch one today. Express really is the best way to describe this spot. It reminds me a lot of a convenience store almost, the way it is set up. I walked in and was instantly greeted by a super nice girl behind the counter. You can literally get poke by itself in a container by the pound of get a poke bowl. There are so many different types of poke to select from. They have Cooked and non cooked and both are separated for you to easily tell the difference in a different way. I let her know I had never been there before and she easily walked me through how it worked. She was super kind and let me have two proteins instead of just one even though I only ordered one. She told me I had to try another hahah. It was so nice! I wish I remember what I had but I think I had the Hawaiian poke for sure. The other one I don't remember. But it was also good. I got the poke bowl and it came with a side of rice and added seaweed crisps on top. They also have a point system which she set me up with!
