So I'm finally done with a long day dealing with teaching, talking and students code when I see a highly rated ramen join pass by so I can't abandon them. I order the classic tonkatsu ramen and it shows up in minutes from the guy behind the counter, super polite and encouraged me to play video games too. The whole place has this, "neighborhood poke shop" vibe that I just enjoy. While I'm not a fan of onion, bamboo shoots or the veggies in my ramen they were picked out soon enough. It's flavorful and you can tell something is unique about the serving which was flavorful but not as nearly strong as I like it from Kuzikai Ramen in seattle but late night small town beggars can't be choosers. 4.5 stars out of 5 and I would buy from here again. If I find you hipsters complaining this guy doesn't have the 31 flavors of kombucha you love just go elsewhere, preferably the moon.

Poke fresh is an amazing neighborhood restaurant in Roosevelt!! I stumbled upon this place and it is a great hole in the wall spot for some quick sushi. Nearly everything on the menu is buy one get one free!! I couldn't believe it. The portions are generous and the sushi is good! The rice is a little mushy but honestly for the price, I'm not looking for much more! It is a great spot if I don't want to cook dinner and want a cheap meal. The owner is very kind as well. The poke is amazing too! They have pre marinated poke like Hawaii which is hard to come by. I will definetly be coming back to this place!

This is a hidden gem! Don't get thrown off by the name, they have more than just Poke. The eel roll and chicken roll are both cooked. The sushi rice in the rolls has the perfect amount of softness and stickiness, the eel tasted very fresh. I ordered them with eel sauce. The fish bone soup is also very tasty, salty, but if you water it down a bit, it's perfect! This place also has ramen! The owners of the restaurant are very welcoming and attentive.

As a college student, late nights are often a staple part of the academic experience. Given the limited selection of restaurant options after hours, Poke Fresh has stood out as a late night go-to. The value of the food here is unbeatable. Between the $8 donburi, $4 salmon collar, $10 sukiyaki and other affordable Japanese comforts, there are few other places that provide the same bang for buck; and, they absolutely do not skimp on portions for the price. It's not the best food you'll ever have, but it hits the spot every time. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, and the employees are always kind and accommodating to match. Highly recommend this place for an affordable, reliable meal.

Great place that stays open late! Too many Poke places seem to close earlier than other types of restaurants. Poke Fresh is open until 1:30 AM, which is awesome! My son and I went to Poke Fresh after a Yelp search and found this place to be quite good. Parking sucks but it's like that everywhere in the U District. I did however notice the Link Light Rail Roosevelt Station is just up the street so that is a great option to avoid the parking hassle. We each got the medium sized make your own bowl which comes with 2 proteins as well as a bevy of choices for other toppings, etc. I love the variety of choices and selected the Ahi and Spicy Salmon. They allow half and half of bases like several rice varieties or greens so I got half salad greens and half brown rice. The service was great with a very nice and accommodating server. Kinda weird they played Hispanic music over the speakers for the entire restaurant but maybe the employees get their choice when working. No biggie. I'll return here one day and will likely take the light rail for convenience.

I come here for poke once a month or so, it is conveniently located and not in the heart of U District, which I pretty much avoid. The servers are always really friendly when I come in, they take my order promptly and aren't skimpy on the portions. The food always tastes and feels fresh. I like the options of toppings and mix-ins, as well as the sauces and fish options. You really can make it whatever you want! I always go heavy on the salmon, and theirs is pretty dang good! It's not the most attractive place to sit in to eat, it's very basic, but the people watching sitting at the windows is unbeatable.

Good quality, fast service, open late. A little pricey but good quality and portion. Been a few more times and recommended to folks in the area. It may be hard to communicate through the glass partition so be sure to speak clearly.

For the price they offer, the quantity and quality was worth it. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful and met my poke needs. I got the small size and it was perfect! They put so much of each ingredient you want especially the protein and I appreciated that very much. The employees there were super nice and the place was clean and welcoming.

First time visiting this new poke place for dinner! First off, it's in a great location and parking was easy to find. Second, right as you walk in, you are quickly welcomed by warm and friendly staff and TOTES CUTE interior! And boy, the selection of fish and sides they have are overwhelming for a first timer! I wanted to try everything! I ordered the medium size poke (which includes 3 scoops of fish-I got salmon, albacore, and scallops) with half brown rice and half mixed greens. Then added some seaweed salad, avocado, cucumbers, onions, and did half and half sauce (spicy mayo and their signature sauce). They actually mix the fish with the sauces and sides in a bowl right in front of you! And at the very end, I topped it off with some furikake and fried onion! And when I took that first bite - BOY, this place is true to their name. Their fish and sides were all super fresh(!)and I quickly devoured that huge bowl of food. Then for dessert, got their cereal and oreo BINGSOO - which is essentially fluffy ice milk crystals topped off with a mixture of cereal shavings and Oreos! WOW. Even their dessert was refreshing! The texture was perfect - fluffy with bits of crunchiness. The sweetness was not too overwhelming either! Fasho my new fave poke place! Can't wait to go back to try their other fish and sides!! read more

Super jazzed to have this place as a neighbor. Furthermore, this is the first time I've found legit bingsu in Seattle (after becoming addicted from dessert cafes in Seoul). The poke is great quality, and the space is welcoming. I know I'll be returning often. My one critique, however, is with waste sorting. There are only two bins (garbage and recycle), behind a wall near the restrooms. There are no labels showing folks where to sort which items, and there's no compost available for napkins or uneaten food. Furthermore, both bins have the same black liner, indicating they'll both end up in the trash. :-( Poke Fresh, say it ain't so! With some educational signage and a compost bin, you could keep a huge amount of waste out of the landfill. Since this location recently opened, I hope these improvements are in the works! read more

Best. Poke. Ever. Good portion sizes and the workers are friendly and helpful. There's also a super cute girl that works their (please date me if you see this) I tried the cereal bingsu and it's FREAKING AMAZING. YOU SHOULD ALL TRY IT. Definitely worth coming up to try!! Whenever I am in the mood for Poke, this place is always my go to. Not only is the fish fresh every time, but also the quality of the customer service has been amazing. There is a surplus of toppings and multiple sauces to choose from, and presentation has been great. Workers are friendly, and atmosphere is chill. It is a great spot to catch up with a friend or go for your lunch break. Would definitely recommend. read more

I love this place...the fish is always fresh, toppings are plentiful, and the bings is a treat. The one drawback is that it is understaffed to manage ehe large number of pick up orders that come in online. People already in line often have to wait for those orders to be made. read more

Very delicious and fresh poke! Huge slices of salmon that tastes super fresh, and I also loved the unagi too. For me, the toppings really make or break poke so I loved that they had lots of choices and were very generous with portions. I would recommend adding seaweed salad and the roes on yours. Super friendly service, clean interior. Also get the shaved ice- my top choice would be the matcha. My only feed back would be to ask for some extra sauce on the side or in the bowl because I couldn't really taste the yuzu ponzu when I ordered mine. Other than that, I'll definitely come again :) read more

I love Poke and have been searching for a Poke place on this side of town. This place was wonderful and will be my go to for now on. Got the spicy tuna and spicy salmon. My wife got the salmon. For desert I got the Oreo bingsu and my wife got the red bean and match bingsu. Lots of sides and the bowl was beautifully made. I think my favorite part of restaurant are all the different sauces and that they are available on the counter to add to your bowl yourself afterwards. Price wise, I think this is the best value in Seattle. I usually pay 15 at go poke in the ID and here the small with two poke was 9.50. Location wise it's really nice to see Roosevelt to get some more options for food. Fresh food and beautiful ambiance read more

Decently priced Poke with a large selection, fish is fresh. Generous portions. The BingSu, or Korean shaved ice, is incredible. You get a heaping mountain with a choice 5 different toppings. I like the oreo & strawberry toppings. They use real oreos and fruits. Great spot to hang out and chill. Restaurant is very clean and has a nice aesthetic and vibe. read more

The bingsu was amazing! They put a layer of the toppings in the middle and on top for the large size and the portion was huge! My favorite flavor was the cereal So glad there's finally a bingsu place in Seattle! Service was great and friendly! read more

Unagi was super rubbery, like eating a hose. Wasabi was neon green, not the right color at all. The poke bowl was extremely salty, like 3x what would be enjoyable to eat. Some of the tuna was good, but a couple pieces had a really fishy taste like it was frozen for a while and perhaps defrosted and refrozen. read more

Fresh fish, lotta options. This place is my Jimmy Jam. Lil pricey but worth it. Go for the Half n Half and you won't be disappointed. Atm parking is a lil hard to find while construction goes on, but there's street parking a couple blocks up. read more

The guy with the beard at the counter was extremely rude. Some of the stuff looked moldy and I told him they should replace it and he was like I've been working here for years I know what I'm doing. Do not be fooled by positive reviews, it's probably paid for. This place is trash. read more

This place blew me away! I've eaten poke on the islands and this is just about the closest you can get. The best part is indeed how fresh everything is. Their spicy salmon and ahi with the house ahi sauce are my favorites. Good prices, great food, amazing people! read more

Great poke bowls we enjoyed the Selection of toppings for our bowls. The fish was very fresh and the eel was very good especially. Also had the spicy tuna which we enjoyed it was just spicy enough but not too spicy. Lots of different sauces to choose from to. Very friendly service and the restaurant is extremely clean read more

Just paid 12.50 for a small, and the kid gave me 3-4 pieces of fish. I ordered most of the toppings and the thing came out to half of what the container can hold. I've had better experiences on about half of my previous visits. Love the options, but very inconsistent service. Not gonna keep repeat customers with this kind of behavior. Hopefully the manager makes your bowl, he seems to know what's up. read more

Dont be fooled with all these poke restaurants popping up, this place is the real deal. From seeing fresh fish cut right in front of me to the polite staff preparing all the toppings, Poke Fresh serves as a breathe of fresh air in what's becoming a crowded poke market! I highly recommend that you try this place, you'll quickly place this restaurant at the top of your list. read more

It's fine poke just simple no frills. It hits the spot in a pinch but the place on 11th is worth the extra effort. The plastic bowls always bug me and the service is always super bad. I've been in 20-30 times and the owner is nice but all the employees could give a rats ass about service. read more

My go for a quick healthy meal! The fish is always fresh and delicious and they have a lot of topping options for your bowl. If I am starving and need to have lunch in less than 10 min- this is my place! It's fast- casual style so it's good for groups too, but I really like to grab a quick bowl to-go and picnic in the park! read more

I had a great experience here. True value. Fast cheap delicious poke with different toppings. Workers are friendly. This restaurant is more spacious inside than I thought from first sight. My friends and I were also able to find tables where we can sit and be a slightly loud haha. I personally never heard of cereal korean shaved ice and it BLOWN ME AWAY. Light, milky, and crunchy. Will definitely come back! read more

Guess we could've asked, but we shouldn't have to ask? Service: Slow as heck. We arrived without a res at 4:30 PM for Happy Hour on Friday. We were asked to stay only 90 minutes. Time between taking orders and food arriving averaged 20-30 minutes. On the one hand, they didn't want us to order everything at once (we wanted at least 4 dozen oysters), so 1 dozen came at a time. We would've ordered more if the food arrived faster. Deeply disappointing service.

What concerns me most is this: if the customer-facing restroom had no soap during the dinner rush, and the response to being asked about it was irritation rather than urgency, what does that say about how handwashing is handled behind the scenes? I'm not looking for perfection. I'm looking for basic food safety protocol to be taken seriously. I didn't see that here.

We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

First off you pick a size and I tell you the small sizes are huge but I couldn't just get the small I had to go for the mediu.. oh boy, the fish was so delicious and they give you such large portions. The parking situation was a bit eh but it is well worth.
