I may have just found my favorite poke place!! We walked in around 3pm. so there was no line and the workers greeted us with smiles and were so nice. If you are looking for fresh fish and good toppings this is a great option Really good poke place. Higher quality fish than other shops. Clean. Fast service. Street parking available too Thank you for fresh and delicious poke!!

This was a really good Poke Bowl!! I came here after hanging out at the Lafayette Reservoir most of the day and was good and hungry. I ordered from the menu, I found out later that I could have written my order down on the checked boxes list and did it that way, but oh well. Most poke places I've gone to are pretty good, this one fits that narrative. Decent sized portions, fresh ingredients, fast service. There was no indoor dining here, but they did have a couple of tables outside, so I ate there. All in all, a good experience!!

I went here after having an intense poke craving, and Poke Go did not disappoint! The food was fresh and yummy and they had some great offerings for toppings and fish. The interior is very cute and welcoming as well and the workers were so sweet. I will definitely be back!

I was feeling fishy on a Friday afternoon. I looked up poke spots near my area and this popped up as the closest one. Upon arrival, it is metered street parking. There is also parking lots in the back but I was lucky to park in the front. As you walk in, there will be a menu card and pen to write what you want in your poke bowl. You hand it to the worker once you are done and he/she will mix all protein & sauce together. I wouldn't say this is the best poke spot but it's decent for the locals. Price wise is okay I guess, I get my poke somewhere else but i was too lazy to be stuck in traffic rush hour so I drove to this location instead. Service was friendly, the worker gave me time to fill out what I wanted in my bowl. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Overall, I enjoyed my late lunch at this poke spot.

I love this place! Build your own poke bowl with a similar experience to Chipotle. Lots of fresh and delicious options. The restaurant is clean and has a comfortable environment.

All that glitters is not gold - Part I Recently, I was having a Yelp conversation with Cherylynn N. regarding fake reviews. Yelp is full of "fake reviews" out there, especially from fairly new restaurants. Look, I get it...times are tough and you want to survive. You gotta bring business to your establishments by any means necessary. Some make fake accounts and write "cookie cutter" reviews that give glowing remarks to a place similar to so-called movie critics praising a movie that sucks. Spotting a fake review is pretty easy. A few things to look out for: - Yelper with zero or few friends - Yelper with no real profile photo or no profile photo at all - Yelper that lives out-of-state or even from a different country - Yelper has literally one or few reviews written - Yelper reviews are not specific or are just a few sentences. Heck, I write compliments longer than some of these reviews. I'm not saying that this business paid some Yelpers or even made Yelp accounts to write reviews. Oh no, let me be clear as this is not what I am saying. My point is that these are the things to look for when deciding what to choose on where to spend your money. During the pandemic, I have been reluctant to write negative reviews of places and establishments simply because I know that everyone is hurting during these times. But, I just wanna vent on a few places so hopefully things can be rectified. Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at approximately 1910 hours, after my friends were done walking at Lafayette Reservoir during our Therapy Tuesday session, we were hungry and decided on grabbing some food here since it was nearby and they didn't close until 2000 hours. We drove here and found a parking spot in front of the place. We got here at approximately 1918 hours and there were two workers inside - one male and one female. There were 3 of us and were greeted promptly. Since it was our first time there, we decided to study the menu first that were on the wall and their menu board. One of the posters had instructions on how to order. Since we were ordering separately, I wasn't paying attention to my friends as I was studying the wall menu. I decided on getting the Signature Combo B ($15.00) that comes with Salmon, Tuna, Albacore, Tai and Hamachi for the protein. For the base, I chose the spring mix instead of rice for a healthier option. While ordering, I could hear one of my friends having a conversation with the female worker and he sounded agitated. To be honest, I wasn't particularly paying attention to their conversation as I was busy telling the male worker what other ingredients I wanted on my bowl. But the way that he was doing it made me feel rushed and he kept tapping the scooper, which was annoying and felt it was intentional. After "choosing" toppings and sauces, I just felt rushed and missed a couple of ingredients due to the awkward and interaction between everything that was going on. So after paying separately, we all walked out and one of my friends looked like he was really perturbed and frustrated. As we got inside the car, he then explained that the female worker was condescending to him and that he also felt rushed and a bit humiliated. My friend is a U.S. Marine and served during the Iraq War. He's battling through PTSD among other things and he's on the heavy side. He knows this and doesn't want to be reminded of it. We all got the sense that we were all rushed as it wasn't even close to their posted closing time of 2000 hours when we left. There were about 30 minutes left before they closed and we were the only customers there. But my friend was really upset and asked if we heard the conversation they had with the female worker. My other friend and I both apologized as we weren't really paying attention, but could hear something wasn't quite right. I should've been more in tune, but I was immersed in my thoughts of what to order. I felt so bad for him. My other friend said the same thing. But after all of that, we hoped that the food was at least good and drove to the marina. Verdict: The sauce overpowered everything and the protein was sinewy. #YelpChallenge2020 review No. 3

Loved my poke from here. When I got there around 7:30pm on a weekday, nobody was in line. I ordered a medium (3 scoops of protein) to go. It came to about $11 something including tax. What differentiates this place from other poke places is that they have a larger assortment of sauces you can choose from as well as more pickled Japanese veggies to add to your bowl. I ordered a salmon bowl with every added but the spicy items and the items that cost extra. I had it with unagi sauce and it was seriously bomb dot com. One of the best poke places in the Bay Area. I frequent a poke place in Berkeley, but after trying this poke place, I think I'll frequent this place instead. read more

So far, beyond excellant!! Service, the bowls...oh dear the bowls. I definitely will be back, weekly if not more. I even have my co-workers hooked. Also, treat yourself to an ice cream treat. I had the Earl Grey and Lavender. Yummmmm As for my bowl, I tried the mixed greens with steamed white rice. Perfect!!! Spicy crab meat as my base, tuna, salmon and scallops along with lots of goodies. Parking can be tricky, but worth it!!! read more

Rarely do I ever post bad reviews. I like to give places a chance and having worked in the industry I even give extra leeway but this was ridiculous. Ordered a bowl for dinner and I'd have to get three to make one normal places poke bowl. There are literally 11 leaves of mixed greens, I know because there were so few I was actually able to count. The container was less than half full, so after ordering a food in, I'll be getting in the car to go out and actually get dinner somewhere because this was appetizer size. Not worth it. read more

Ordered poke bowls from this place again after taking a break for a couple of months. The poke is good, but I just can't stand the lady server. I think she's the owner or manager, otherwise she would have been fired a long time ago. she is such a sourpuss and NEVER says hello or thank-you. Also, she is so cheap with the portions since she doesn't fill the scoop. She definitely turns customers away. read more

This is my favorite poke place. The staff are always very friendly and they provide great service! We are so glad that they are open after the stay at home orders. I would highly recommend this place to people who like poke or would like to give it a try. They have a great variety of choices on their menu and the fish always tastes fresh. I finally tried this place today, and it's so good! I get poke all the time in San Francisco, and this is as good as or better than any place in the city, but the portions are much more generous / it's a way better value. We plan to go back frequently now that we know how good and fast it is. Everyone needs to go here so it stays in business and I can keep having a yummy local poke shop! :) read more

Been here twice with consistent quality. Good mix of options for the bowl at a reasonable price. I like that they mix up the main ingredients for you instead of just placing it all in a bowl. They are a bit skimpy with protein scoops but not bad for the price. read more

Last day of 2017, I was walking alone along this glacial street in Lafayette thinking back to my 2017, it was not a good time, the world has changed so much, i could not adapt to the change, it was a stressful year. When I got to the entrance of Poke Go, I felt a slice of warm air blowing out from the door, it wasnt the heat, but joy instead. There was an invisible force pulling me inside. It's hard to find good poke in the East bay when you're looking east of Berkeley. The fish here is really fresh, as are the vegetables. They don't skimp on what they give you and it's definitely worth the price. The restaurant itself is very clean and well lit, and everyone is very friendly and accommodating. My friend and I ate everything in our bowls. Pokémon Go? More like Poke Go!!! read more

If you're taking to yelp to find a good poke place look no further!! This place is probably one of my favorite poke places in the East Bay! I frequently go to get my lunch from here as I work nearby. Every time I go the quality of their food is consistently fresh and delicious. On top of that, this place has a variety of toppings unlike many of the other poke places I've been to in the area. Their staff is friendly/attentive to every customer and service is fast. If you don't like this place it's probably because you don't know how to make your poke bowl. read more

I've only eaten poke a few times before, and I'm a small person - but with those caveats in mind, I'd like to say that this is easily as good or better than my previous poke experiences. All the ingredients look & taste fresh, the portion sizes are generous, the service was fast, and it seemed reasonably priced (for this area.) Went at 1:30p on a Monday, so well past whatever lunch rush they get, though there were still a handful of folks eating in (as other reviewers note, it's clearly a to-go/pickup oriented place - the decor and seating is minimalist.) Got a small bowl, which gets you the 1 'free' protein (crab, spicy crab or spicy tuna; I got crab), 2 scoops of the 'main' proteins (I got salmon & hamachi) and then arbitrary selections of sides & toppings (I got maybe 1/2 of what was on offer, which was a lot!) Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is simply that I don't like giving out all 5 when I don't have a lot of other data points for comparison. (I did also feel slightly rushed through the selection process, but that's just because I'm a poke-newbie - I'd much rather they be speedy than too slow!) read more

Best poke place because you get the most bang for your buck. For example, a medium comes with three heaping scoops of protein, but you also get a base protein so you actually get 4 total proteins. I just wish parking was easier. read more

Decent poke. Not Hawaii quality, of course, but we're in Lafayette. I prefer the salmon to the tuna. I generally go with a small or medium and it's quite a bit of food. Good toppings and the people who work here are always nice. read more

So stoked to have a poke spot in Lafayette! The portions are very generous and the fish and veggies are super fresh and tasty. The small totally fills me up and you can add as many toppings as you like (to an overwhelming degree). So far I'm digging the spicy tuna as the base protein and salmon + albacore as the mains, with poke sauce & a half & half rice/salad combo on the bottom. The staff is super friendly! read more

(There button on the right steering wheel must be pressed down until it beeps, then you use your voice command.) The nearest sushi restaurant in my Tesla car screen was Kiku Sushi! This is a little gem of a restaurant with a cute interior dining area with television for people watching the FIFA games, a good bar selection of you imbibe, and a delightful patio where you can sit under a covered awning. The place has a small parking lot along the side of the restaurant located in the back. If you're shopping at Whole Foods or Mount Diablo Foods, this restaurant is located down the street from them on a side street on Lafayette Circle. I spoke to the owner, they only use the best quality sushi: Atlantic King salmon, bluefin tuna, the shrimp is cooked here, white tuna is from Korea, the onso hamachi is from Hokkaido. The onagi is high end, and ordered from Thailand. There are two other Kiku Sushi & Vegetarian locations, one is located in north Berkeley, 1416 Gilman Street, Berkeley, CA, and one is located at 538 Valencia Street, San Francisco. The food is absolutely delicious, nicely presented, and the sashimi is cut into very thick slices. I ordered my favorite go-to dish, chirashi sushi, and a specially ordered eel handroll with rice and veggies. The matcha tempura ice cream was delicious, too. You must absolutely come and try out this place, they play relaxing, nice jazz music in the background, it was good for a very nice before-the-250th-anniversary of our country, the 4th of July! Check out this place, you surely won't be disappointed!
