I may have just found my favorite poke place!! We walked in around 3pm. so there was no line and the workers greeted us with smiles and were so nice. If you are looking for fresh fish and good toppings this is a great option Really good poke place. Higher quality fish than other shops. Clean. Fast service. I went here after having an intense poke craving, and Poke Go did not disappoint! The food was fresh and yummy and they had some great offerings for toppings and fish. The interior is very cute and welcoming as well and the workers were so sweet. I will definitely be back!

This was a really good Poke Bowl!! I came here after hanging out at the Lafayette Reservoir most of the day and was good and hungry. I ordered from the menu, I found out later that I could have written my order down on the checked boxes list and did it that way, but oh well. Most poke places I've gone to are pretty good, this one fits that narrative. Decent sized portions, fresh ingredients, fast service. There was no indoor dining here, but they did have a couple of tables outside, so I ate there. All in all, a good experience!!

If you're craving a healthy, flavorful meal that feels both nourishing and indulgent, this poke bowl is a must-try. 10/10 would recommend--I'll definitely be back , the guys working there are so nice btw

I was feeling fishy on a Friday afternoon. I looked up poke spots near my area and this popped up as the closest one. Upon arrival, it is metered street parking. There is also parking lots in the back but I was lucky to park in the front. As you walk in, there will be a menu card and pen to write what you want in your poke bowl. You hand it to the worker once you are done and he/she will mix all protein & sauce together. I wouldn't say this is the best poke spot but it's decent for the locals. Price wise is okay I guess, I get my poke somewhere else but i was too lazy to be stuck in traffic rush hour so I drove to this location instead. Service was friendly, the worker gave me time to fill out what I wanted in my bowl. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Overall, I enjoyed my late lunch at this poke spot.

All that glitters is not gold - Part I Recently, I was having a Yelp conversation with Cherylynn N. regarding fake reviews. Yelp is full of "fake reviews" out there, especially from fairly new restaurants. Look, I get it...times are tough and you want to survive. You gotta bring business to your establishments by any means necessary. Some make fake accounts and write "cookie cutter" reviews that give glowing remarks to a place similar to so-called movie critics praising a movie that sucks. Spotting a fake review is pretty easy. A few things to look out for: - Yelper with zero or few friends - Yelper with no real profile photo or no profile photo at all - Yelper that lives out-of-state or even from a different country - Yelper has literally one or few reviews written - Yelper reviews are not specific or are just a few sentences. Heck, I write compliments longer than some of these reviews. I'm not saying that this business paid some Yelpers or even made Yelp accounts to write reviews. Oh no, let me be clear as this is not what I am saying. My point is that these are the things to look for when deciding what to choose on where to spend your money. During the pandemic, I have been reluctant to write negative reviews of places and establishments simply because I know that everyone is hurting during these times. But, I just wanna vent on a few places so hopefully things can be rectified. Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at approximately 1910 hours, after my friends were done walking at Lafayette Reservoir during our Therapy Tuesday session, we were hungry and decided on grabbing some food here since it was nearby and they didn't close until 2000 hours. We drove here and found a parking spot in front of the place. We got here at approximately 1918 hours and there were two workers inside - one male and one female. There were 3 of us and were greeted promptly. Since it was our first time there, we decided to study the menu first that were on the wall and their menu board. One of the posters had instructions on how to order. Since we were ordering separately, I wasn't paying attention to my friends as I was studying the wall menu. I decided on getting the Signature Combo B ($15.00) that comes with Salmon, Tuna, Albacore, Tai and Hamachi for the protein. For the base, I chose the spring mix instead of rice for a healthier option. While ordering, I could hear one of my friends having a conversation with the female worker and he sounded agitated. To be honest, I wasn't particularly paying attention to their conversation as I was busy telling the male worker what other ingredients I wanted on my bowl. But the way that he was doing it made me feel rushed and he kept tapping the scooper, which was annoying and felt it was intentional. After "choosing" toppings and sauces, I just felt rushed and missed a couple of ingredients due to the awkward and interaction between everything that was going on. So after paying separately, we all walked out and one of my friends looked like he was really perturbed and frustrated. As we got inside the car, he then explained that the female worker was condescending to him and that he also felt rushed and a bit humiliated. My friend is a U.S. Marine and served during the Iraq War. He's battling through PTSD among other things and he's on the heavy side. He knows this and doesn't want to be reminded of it. We all got the sense that we were all rushed as it wasn't even close to their posted closing time of 2000 hours when we left. There were about 30 minutes left before they closed and we were the only customers there. But my friend was really upset and asked if we heard the conversation they had with the female worker. My other friend and I both apologized as we weren't really paying attention, but could hear something wasn't quite right. I should've been more in tune, but I was immersed in my thoughts of what to order. I felt so bad for him. My other friend said the same thing. But after all of that, we hoped that the food was at least good and drove to the marina. Verdict: The sauce overpowered everything and the protein was sinewy. #YelpChallenge2020 review No. 3

I really enjoyed my dish. Ahi tuna bowl, it was simple and delicious. I came with my parents but my mom doesn't like raw fish () so I asked if they could cook the salmon. I was not surprised when they agreed. I know it's kind of odd to ask to change a dish like this but they were kind enough to do so. My dad had shrimp with salad and crab and he loved it!!! read more

The staff are very nice and friendly,I got a small bowl with 2 scoops of proteins, but the portion they were giving was more than 2 scoops! The ponzu sauce and spicy poke sauce that I got are delicious, you can ask the staff get a little cup to taste the sauce. Also I order most of the toppings and the staff gave me a lot of portion that cover my proteins !and all of them are so good, especially when you mix all the toppings and proteins & sauces! Love it!! Wow! Fresh seafood and too many toppings to count. The amount of protein is way worth it...might never go get sushi again since you can pack so much in the bowl for the price. Good food, healthy portion sizes and the prices are appropriate. What else do you want? Also, the ladies that work here are really sweet. I watched a man (clearly middle management) come in with his daughters and was nicely rude, waving them off and speaking condescendingly to them. They treated this pig with respect either way. But, it's Lafayette, and there those types everywhere. That said, I'll continue supporting them. read more

You can make a great poke bowl if you know the right combinations. It would take several tries before you know which sauce and toppings you like best. On the bright side, a small bowl is enough to fill you up. Prices are very affordable for the quality of food you get. read more

What a great addition to Lafayette. Just a wonderful place to get fresh Poke. You can get either a pre-determined combo or just make your own bowl. All the ingredients are fresh and really tasty. You start with white or brown rice and then go down the line adding your proteins, veggies, and other assorted ingredients. The fish is very fresh and many types to choose from. Veggies were crisp and fresh. Also, they have about 7 different types of sauces to choose from. At the end they put it all together in a bowl. I had the medium size and it was a lot of food in total. A great concept of "build your own Poke Bowl". Very helpful staff. This is now my "go to" place in Lafayette for a refreshing protein and veggie Poke Bowl. read more

Lots of yummy options and great value! I'm so glad this place opened up in town. They have a great quick system and if there is ever a line it goes fast. Parking can be a pain but the speed of preparation makes up for it. It's faster than ordering sushi and you get more bang for your buck. A small sized bowl is like 2 meals for me. I will definitely be a returning customer! read more

Lafayette's Poke Go is really great. What a great addition to the Lamorinda area. Everything is absolutely fresh and the portions are very generous. The people who work there couldn't be nicer. I've been to a number of Poke places in the area and, hands down, this is the best one. We've been going to Poke Go virtually since they opened up and the food and service has been good UNTIL TONIGHT. This was the second time we used DoorDash and the driver was fine, but the food order was completely screwed up. Half of the fish we selected and paid for was missing. When we called Poke Go immediately they denied responsibility and told us to take it up with DoorDash!!! This manager just lost a good customer for life. If they're willing to cheat you on the food, take a second and think about what "could" be in what you're eating other than poke. read more

I work near this spot and have been in around 20 times, and feel like I'm in a good spot to finally give a full review. The food is great. The fish is always fresh and the ingredients seem well sourced and prepared. They never have any trouble with order accuracy. The staff is friendly and effecient. They are fast! I've never spent more than 10 minutes in this place from entering to leaving with my order. The cleaning is on point. I'm always looking for build up in the high ceiling dusting or along base boards in restaurants. They are clean and the restaurant facilities are in good repair. The only reason I am knocking this down to 3 stars is the they have some pretty big health and safety issues. I have never seen anyone on staff wash their hands. I have been in so many times and I look for it everytime and it never happens. I walk in, a staff member puts down thier phone and goes straight to making my food. Personal phones are gross, and food servers should absolutely wash thier hands before serving guests after handling one. What's even more nuts is the hand sink is right there next to the service line. It would take 30 seconds and they would have to walk two feet. Today when I came in they were eating McDonald's next to the line and there was an empty bucket in the hand washing sink. It's clear it's not in use and they are using there phones and eating food before making guests food. Thats just whats happening in customer view, who knows what's going on back of house. Anyway, I've observed this from my first or second visit and I keep going. So that should tell you how good the food is. Hopefully they get the other stuff on point. read more

Another restaurant in Lafayette that will likely go out of business. Sign on door and online both indicated that place was open until 9pm. Got there at 8:50pm and doors were locked. Four employees in there. No one even looked at us to apologize for closing early. Obviously not inclined to come back. Too bad. Food was pretty good the last time we went there. read more

Motha truckin Poke Go. Made me go dumb that shit was so dam magically delicious. I was with my mom right and she was like dam go head then get some of that dam spicy mayo up on that salmon/tuna combo. Like sesame seed and shit. Made my plums swell up. Ready for the farmers market. Got the large cuz I'm tryin to get swole and shit. At least Fiddy grams of that good ol tein on there. Shout out to poke Go even tho I had to poke go to the bathroom after for a hot sweaty one but overall 4 stars. read more

This place just opened in the center of town on Mt. Diablo Blvd. Went for the first time and it was very solid and a very good value. Had the bowl with half rice and half salad, with salmon, hamachi and spicy tuna. Everything was tasty and seemed fresh. The wasabi sauce was good though I'd prefer it with a little bit more of a spicy kick. Staff was nice as well. They also have these great ice cream cookie desserts, which was a pleasant surprise--I had the chocolate and roasted almonds one and it was awesome. The vibe is rather low-key and the interior space is rather spare, so they could definitely step up the interior decor if they wanted to make it a little more inviting from the outside. Overall a great meal and great value, will definitely go again. read more

(There button on the right steering wheel must be pressed down until it beeps, then you use your voice command.) The nearest sushi restaurant in my Tesla car screen was Kiku Sushi! This is a little gem of a restaurant with a cute interior dining area with television for people watching the FIFA games, a good bar selection of you imbibe, and a delightful patio where you can sit under a covered awning. The place has a small parking lot along the side of the restaurant located in the back. If you're shopping at Whole Foods or Mount Diablo Foods, this restaurant is located down the street from them on a side street on Lafayette Circle. I spoke to the owner, they only use the best quality sushi: Atlantic King salmon, bluefin tuna, the shrimp is cooked here, white tuna is from Korea, the onso hamachi is from Hokkaido. The onagi is high end, and ordered from Thailand. There are two other Kiku Sushi & Vegetarian locations, one is located in north Berkeley, 1416 Gilman Street, Berkeley, CA, and one is located at 538 Valencia Street, San Francisco. The food is absolutely delicious, nicely presented, and the sashimi is cut into very thick slices. I ordered my favorite go-to dish, chirashi sushi, and a specially ordered eel handroll with rice and veggies. The matcha tempura ice cream was delicious, too. You must absolutely come and try out this place, they play relaxing, nice jazz music in the background, it was good for a very nice before-the-250th-anniversary of our country, the 4th of July! Check out this place, you surely won't be disappointed!

I asked the host for more she came back with ONE packet, and tossed it in the bag I was holding. I said out loud "oh just one?" Then asked the sushi chef if they had little to go containers for soy sauce and if I could get one of those. He said yes and instructed the host to fill one for me.
