Poke spots are always a hit or miss and this place is definitely a hit! I love how the fish isn't drowned in sauce and it's a perfect balance to rice-fish ratio. They even offer snacks which makes the place different and better than the other poke shops I've been too. Staff are so friendly and make the place all so welcoming! Perfect spot to get for the beach or even to just hangout and chat.

Usually i go to the one in Whittier but we were in the area and when i saw they had yellowtail...i said we're going!!! Even tho its an upcharge i got ALL yellowtail (thanks to my generous husband) and the woman who helped us was SO NICE and SO WELCOMING and she explained how the owner really cares about using fresh sushi grade fish and lemme tell you, its obvious they do! The taste was unparalleled. Also their eel looked amazing and very big chunks! I wish i had gotten the name of the woman helping us because she really knows how to put a bowl together. Yellowtail's her fave too so she gets it. Plenty of sauce options, some of my favorites in fact, and they dont skimp on em either. Some places i go to i practically have to beg for a decent amount. This spot is a little different it seems like you can order on a lil clipboard and they'll bring it to you. Its a small area but they have outside seating too and everything is clean and well stocked. Truly this was an amazing day thanks to her!!! Parking is tough but well well worth it. If you think you've had poke rainbow before, think again! Do not miss this place ~

All I'm going to say is that this poke is 10/10!! I've been to a lot of different poke places up and down the South Bay but this is hands down my new go to poke spot. I love their selection of different proteins and toppings! Everything was super fresh, the service was great, and the workers were really friendly! There's a few spots to eat inside and outside too so you don't really have to worry about seating. Overall, the freshness of the poke and the portion size is unbeatable. They definitely don't skimp you out either! If they had tam-ago it would make it an 11/10 for me. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area! I'll definitely be back!

‍ahhhh. The crab salad is so fresh and so fire lol. first time poke rainbow customer here and wow! This is a small place in riviera village, with metered parking. Parking was easy for me as it was still earlier in the day can't say it will always be but this place is worth visiting. I actually stopped to get coffee nearby and I spotted it looking out the window! but for some reason this place just sounded good after going to the gym. When you walk in there are tickets that allow you to choose your items for your order. Once completed you hand it to the worker that will make your bowl for you. Service was clean and quick. I got a small bowl which allows 2 proteins, whatever you choose to add in for free and with certain items like avocado for an additional charge. You then choose your sauce and any dry toppings. I chose ahi tuna and crab salad, with brown rice. I added jalapeño, pineapple, corn, and edamame. For sauce I chose ponzu and added spicy mayo and for dry toppings I chose sesame seeds. This was one of the freshest poke bowls! All I needed was a small I couldn't even finish the whole thing. I'll be back often I love poke bowls!

Best sushi deal in the village, but the people are what makes this eatery shine. They take the time to confirm how you want your items laid out in the bowl. They are All very friendly, welcoming and efficient, which speaks to a good culture & ownership. All its missing is an antidote to my addiction to their food :)

This delicious poke place is situated in the middle of the Riviera shopping and dining area of Redondo Beach. It's always fun to go to eat or just walk here. The vibe of this place is very much beachy, cool and laid back and the servers are friendly and easygoing. While this place is about $3 to $5 more than most other places, their ingredients are so fresh and the area around their location is so nice we feel it's worth it for a splurge. A small poke will run about $20 without tax or a drink. They have outdoor seating making it possible to enjoy the great South Bay weather.

This is my go-to for a near home poké spot. When it comes to sushi fish, the price can be expected to be not so cheap, but the amount of stuff given in these portions are great. A medium is definitely enough for someone on an empty stomach, but sometimes a little extra is nice too. The fish is so fresh, and they don't lack on the amount they give. The ordering is one of my favorite parts about this restaurant. They have sheets in front of the store that you fill out, checking off the options for everything you want in your bowl, which you then hand in to make a payment, then receive your food. The parking for this is not the most ideal as it's near busier walking streets nearing the beach, with mostly metered parking around.

We have visited just about every poke place in the South Bay, some of which have closed, but this one is tops. Similar sizes of bowls, choices of protein, rice, greens, etc. BUT many more choices. Delicious. Employees are smiling and very helpful, which is rare among such places. read more

Wow! This is probably the best poke bowl I've had in a very long time, if not ever. The soba noodles are perfectly cooked, the fish quality is fantastic and there are in array of toppings to satisfy anyone's palette. The staff was very friendly and it only took five minutes for my personalized bowl to be ready to go. I will definitely be back, and will be bringing friends with me! read more

This place is definitely a drive for me but I am never disappointed when I come here! The owner greets you at the door with a smile and helps you out if you have any questions with the menu. Because of covid you fill out a sheet outside and hand it to them so they can make it for you, which is not a problem in the slightest! They pack the bowl and I always end up very full so it is worth the price! I have recommended this place to friends and they have liked it as well! read more

Portion was good and the variety of toppings is great, however, I got the poke with albacore and yellowtail with the sesame shoyu sauce and I couldn't taste anything. I actually had to add shoyu for any flavor. That was a bit disappointing. Given the parking situation to do a pick up it probably is not worth it for me to try again. read more

This was my first time to Poke Rainbow. The interior was clean and cute and the staff was very friendly. I ordered a medium bowl and it came with three proteins. I went with salmon, yellowtail, and eel. The eel was oven grilled and served over the rice, while the two raw fish choices were mixed with a nice selection of free mix ins. I went with the #1 sauce with an extra touch of ponzu. The bowl was perfect and the portions were very generous. Very highly recommended. So glad we stopped by! read more

Covid-19 Alert!!! If you DO NOT want to get the Corona Virus then Do Not order from Poke Rainbow. I order a poke bowl & two drinks, one Coca Cola can & a Japanese soda drink by the name of Ramune that was recommended by the staff. I wasn't explained that you need to keep the cap to open the drink & threw the cap to trash. I asked the staff how do you open the Japanese Ramune soda & they asked if I throw the cap to the trash to get it in order to open the soda, I said I'm not going dig in the trash. At the end, they took the bottle of soda back to the kitchen and I was sure it would be replaced with a new bottle. I was mistaken, they opened the bottle in the back of the kitchen where I couldn't see what they were doing there & brought me the same bottle without any gloves on & without washing/cleaning their hands. I ended up throwing the Japanese soda drink & the Poke Bowl to the trash as well. I would NOT even give a one star to Poke Rainbow. read more

This place is by far one of my go tos for poke! Good portions, friendly customer service, and fresh quality. Sure there are places closer to my place, but I like to make the trip for great quality and service. Its defintiely worth it. I always get the large poke bowl low carb. Salad base, ahi tuna and all the garnishes (avocado!). Go and give this place a try. You won't be disappointed! read more

People talk about waiting 45 minutes to over an hour just to get a table, especially on weekends, so I decided to come during lunch instead. Luckily, the place was almost empty, which made for an easy visit. Going in, my expectations were high. Since I'm allergic to shrimp, I let the staff know and ordered the beef bowl and tempura combo instead. At around $20, I wasn't expecting cheap fast food, but I was expecting something that justified the price. The tempura was easily the highlight of the meal. It was light, crispy, and fried well, especially paired with the dipping sauce. If there's one reason I'd give this place any credit, it's the tempura sauce. The chicken tempura, however, was a different story. The coating was crispy, but the chicken itself was incredibly bland. It tasted like plain boiled chicken that happened to get dipped in tempura batter. The beef bowl was even more disappointing. Honestly, it reminded me of a Yoshinoya beef bowl--except it cost more than twice as much and came with a noticeably smaller portion. That's a comparison I never expected to make at a restaurant with this kind of reputation. The service didn't do much to elevate the experience either. Considering how slow it was during lunch, I expected a little more attentiveness, but it felt pretty average from start to finish. As for the atmosphere...it was fine. Nothing particularly memorable, nothing that made me think, "I need to come back." Maybe I ordered the wrong items. That's always possible. But based on this visit, I just don't understand the hype. The food was decent--not terrible--but nowhere near worth the long waits, the price, or the reputation it seems to have built. If you happen to be nearby and there's no line, sure, give it a try. But if you're planning to wait an hour because everyone says it's a must-visit, I honestly think you can skip it and won't feel like you missed out. Buyer please be aware.

The chefs are visible. The staff is plentiful. The music is good. The atmosphere feels like the kind of place that understands hospitality. Unfortunately, the experience never quite came together. The first challenge was the temperature. The dining room felt more like a sauna than a restaurant. To his credit, our server Arthur worked hard to help and eventually got management to increase the air conditioning. He was easily the standout of the evening and did everything he could to salvage the experience. We ordered extensively, including the $130 Ise Course. Some of it was quite good. Some of it was surprisingly disappointing. The grilled lobster with yuzu miso and kinome was completely overcooked, dry and buried under too much sauce. One of the signature dishes of the course ended up being one of the weakest. The grilled yellowtail suffered from the same problem: dry, overcooked and lacking the care you would expect from a restaurant presenting a seasonal multi course menu at this price point. The larger issue was organization. Dishes constantly arrived with servers asking, "Who ordered this?" or "Who has the udon?" The dining room felt strangely disconnected from the kitchen. Food runners seemed unsure where dishes belonged, which created confusion throughout the meal. Then things really went sideways. Trying to be respectful, I asked that my parents be served first. Everyone eventually received their meals and continued eating. The problem was that my Ise Course never arrived in sequence. My family finished their meals. My children finished. My parents finished. My sister finished. And on my birthday, I sat there alone waiting for several missing courses while everyone else watched. A seasonal set menu is supposed to feel paced and intentional. Instead, it felt forgotten. Arthur again stepped in and spoke with management. The restaurant offered complimentary desserts, which was appreciated, although somewhat awkward because my meal was still arriving while everyone else was already moving on to dessert. What happened next genuinely surprised me. When the bill arrived, management returned and asked whether we would be willing to authorize an additional charge so gratuity could be increased from 18% to 20% because of the size of the party. After the heat, the delays, the confusion, the overcooked centerpiece dishes, the missed pacing and spending a birthday meal eating alone after everyone else had finished, it felt like the wrong conversation to be having. I don't enjoy writing reviews like this because there is clearly talent in the building and Arthur deserves recognition for how hard he worked. But hospitality is ultimately about making people feel cared for. On this visit, despite a beautiful room and some good food, that never happened.

The Aromatica was as good as the service. The bread is baked fresh, in-house everyday and was amazing. However, if you prefer a soft bread, note that Marco toasts his bread (to perfection in my opinion). The sandwich is a perfect mix of salty from the finocchiona and sweet/acidic from the orange slices. Highly recommend the food and Marco!

We sat at a communal bench/table to enjoy our breakfast items (which they stop serving after 10:30); however, we noticed that others were eating some delicious-looking sandwiches served on their fresh baguettes. During my recent visit to Poke Rainbow, my experience was unfortunately less than satisfactory. Firstly, my order did not include the toppings I had chosen, which was a significant letdown as customization is a crucial aspect of enjoying a poke bowl. Additionally, the salmon in my bowl was served warm, raising concerns about the freshness and safety of the raw fish, a fundamental element of poke. Furthermore, the interaction with the staff member who took my order was uncomfortable, as there was a noticeable smell of marijuana, which did not seem professional. Overall, my visit to Poke Rainbow did not meet my expectations, and I hope for improvements in food quality, order accuracy, and staff professionalism in the future. read more

Bad business! Waited close to 1.5 hours and called yelp. Was told driver left it "on the stairs." On the stairs from a raw fish restaurant! Absurd! Yelp said they couldnt do anything because (yelp said) the restaurant said the order was delivered! Absurd times 2! I demanded and received a refund. Rev 1: spoke with owner. Appears some problematic responsibility shared between restaurant and deliverer which may hv been the disconnect resulting in my failed order. As the customer, my report is on the result and not directed at the restaurant's product. read more

I've been coming to this poke spot for a while, and it never disappoints. Everything is always super fresh -- from the fish to the toppings -- and you can really taste the quality. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always greet you with a smile, which makes the experience even better. Portion sizes are generous, prices are fair, and the place is always clean and inviting. Food here is amazing. I always forget to take picture before I eat. It's just so good I only remember to leave review after finishing what I ordered. I always get the Large poke bowl . The staffs are super friendly and if you order in person, you'd see the craftsmanship when they assemble your food. They put so much care in the food that it looks as good as they taste. Good job! Wow by far the best poke I've had in town and I know fish lol. I have yellowtail and ahi in my freezer that I caught and it taste just as fresh. Great customer service as well and now I know where to come for poke read more
