I came in to check out the poke and they have so many different types of concoctions but a lot of it has mayonnaise in it so I'm going to skip it. The salmon is the only fish that looked semi edible. I'm very particular about my raw fish so I'm going to tofu route with sesame seeds and cucumbers. The same guy waited on Who I got the Matcha from five minutes before, he's very sweet! read more

If you are craving poke and in the area, Poke Tiki will satisfy you but it's definitely in the average tier of poke spots. The fish is okay but the best part has to be the unlimited toppings for the price. The portions are generous and very filling. read more

Clean tables and restaurant. The crew comes out to wipe the tables very frequently. Fresh seafood and decent pricing. The spicy mayo has adequate heat and just to our liking. Many toppings to choose! The milk tea and frapp counter is just next to the poke counter, so it is convenient to order the milk tea first then the poke. read more

This is my first time at this poke place. We ordered takeout for my coworkers birthday on 12/12/24. I ordered the medium poke bowl with tuna, spicy tuna and salmon. The food itself didn't taste bad and they even had a small bag of ice on top to keep it cold. When I was halfway through my meal I noticed a small worm in the food.( see attachment). At first I thought it might be some seasoning, but my coworkers verified it's definely not rice. The object in question is segmented and darker at the ends. I was too disturbed to eat the rest of my meal and likely won't be back in the near future. If it's any consolation, my sushi chef friend told me it's likely from the rice and not the fish. I understand that they have to raise the price due to inflation but to cut the serving portion is just a slap in the face. 3 protein pick with all the sides still looks half empty on my bowl... very disappointing. read more

Poki Tiki is tops for poke in San Clemente! The portions are awesome, the fish is fresh, and the bowls are poppin! They have perfected the chow-line style of build-your-own-poke bowls (BYOPs), no question about it. Unless you've been under a rock lately (and with 2020 that's entirely possible), you know the drill! First, choose your base, whether that's rice, salad, or chips. Next, choose three to five scoops of seafood - tuna, salmon, albacore, spicy tuna, scallop, etc. Then choose your sauces and toppings, and boom goes the dynamite! A tasty lunch or dinner. Maybe even breakfast the next day. They also have a built-in boba place here, so you can get a tasty drink to go with your bowl. I've tried a few varieties and they've all been extra yummy. This location offers online ordering which is super convenient - just fill out your order and come pick it up a few minutes later. If you get your order to go, they will put a miniature bag of ice in the bag to keep your order cool while you drive to wherever you are going. This location is also COVID-19 compliant, with hand sanitizer by the door, social distancing requirements, and employees wearing masks. There is also a sign that requires customers wear a mask when entering. So kudos for that! Bottom line: Poki Tiki a great BYOP spot! It has definitely become our go-to place for poke. read more

My daughter likes poke tiki in Rancho Santa Margarita, so we decided to give it a try in San Clemente. Their portion size is generous. I like their wasabi cilantro sauce, but their fish doesn't taste fresh. Even though albacore is in the raw fish section, it was cooked. Overall, their poki is mediocre. read more

A decent poke place. Staff is nice and definitely do their best not to skimp you. A good amount of seating and if you're getting to-go, you get a ziploc of ice wooooo. Got the salmon and tuna. Salmon was fresh and tasty. Tuna a little bit mushier than would like but not bad. They have a good amount of toppings and dressings. Fun fact, they have chopped mangos for a topping which is a bit different. They also have a stamp card and you get a free bowl on your 10th visit. They're also in the same location as a matcha ice cream shop so you can get your lunch and dessert ayyy. Overall, nothing remarkable but nothing bad either. Pretty solid if you want poke. read more

I've been eyeing this poke spot since it's right by my work. Keep in mind, it shares the same space with Matcha. I consider myself a poke connoisseur since I've tried about almost every poke place in the OC area. I ordered the medium bowl (3 scoops of fish) which had white rice, salmon/tuna/scallop, crabmeat, masago, ginger, seaweed salad, edamame, cucumber, sesame seed, furikake, crunchy onion and dry seaweed with poke sauce, spicy mayo and eel sauce on the side. Yes, thats my typical bowl whenever I go to any poke spots. Just to keep the same ingredients so it's easier to compare. The fish seemed very fresh. It didn't have any fishy taste to it which is such a huge plus! The ingredients were fresh and everything met my standards! If you order to go, you get a ziploc of ice! This was a nice touch since I haven't seen any poke spots do this. I wish I knew about the stamp card system, I would have loved if I got one since I know I'll frequent this spot when I'm around the area. read more

Just tried the poke bowl from here for the first time, and I am beyond impressed! I ordered the medium bowl (3 scoops of protein+base+toppings for $10.99) and it was a generous portion! The fish was fresh and delicious, and the bowl was very well made. All the ingredients were great! Ordered take out and they even put a bag of ice to keep the bowl at the temperature it should be. I enjoy a poke shop that offers 2 scoops of protein for an affordable price! I was on my way to meet friends at San Clemente State Beach and decided poke was the best lunch option to bring to the beach. I ordered sushi rice with salmon, albacore, and a handful of other toppings. The fish were not as flavorful as expected but they are generous with their portions, hence the stars. A smaller section of the store is a stand called 'matcha' that sells boba and other drinks. The Asian lady who I assume is boss based on how she interacts with people did a great job picking location and space for her business. I recommend this spot if you need a quick lunch. read more

This is the best kept secret - is it a secret? I couldn't believe this little spot behind the matcha bar. MASSIVE Custom poke bowls - with everything to add you could imagine! My partner eats ALOT and we both shared the small bowl ( all the toppings) and we still could not finish! The ingredients tasted fresh, I truly could not believe the price, esp at this quality. First of all, I'm ALL about supporting local business. I've been coming to this place for 1,5 years . Here's my issue; When it started you paid $9 for a small bowl. Yesterday when I visited it again they are now at $13 for a small bowl. That's ~ roughly +40% increase . I get it that due to the inflation and what not. But 40%. That's just insane. This is more like being greedy. No bueno . On top of that; they used to have a punch card when you purchased food, then it'll give you discounts, free add ons etc. guess what? Nope. Not anymore . So... 40% increase and no member perks ? Thanks, but NO thanks . read more

Really great fresh poke!!! Would recommend, I love their Strawberry Hibiscus tea too!! Thoughtful service as well, I used to go to the Laguna Beach location but its much smaller and the drive makes it less worth it since I live so close to this one! They have plenty of tables to sit inside, cozy lil restaurant! Only place I get my poke :) read more

It would be an understatement to say that I am enthusiastic about this place. As much as I miss the Hawaiian BBQ restaurant that used to be at this location, I have found Poke Tiki to be a great asset to Plaza Pacifica mall and also to San Clemente in general. As much as I love my sushi and sushi rolls, sometimes even the most ardent and proper sushi connoisseurs just want to pig out on fish and rice every once in a while. The prices are fair. I used to get medium size bowl, which for about a dollar more than the small will get you an extra protein of your choice, but lately I have found the small bowl to be sufficiently satiating. It's also good because I like to leave room for dessert, which I get at the next counter over. It seems like it's being treated as its own separate business, but the Matcha cafe inside the restaurant has amazing matcha-flavored soft-serve ice cream that goes in a fish-shaped cone that is just the perfect crispiness and texture. I just wish they had azuki beans to go with it as a topping or filling option. And if you're gonna make fish cones (the SHAPE, not flavor. . . lol), you might as well invest in a taiyaki grill too since that's clearly where that design came from. Man, if they did that I'd be ordering from them to-go every week. read more

Can I just tell you how happy I am that a poke place finally opened near my work?! Up until now I've been getting poke from a few small sushi places near by and it's been just ok. Poke Tiki's fish is fresh and delicious. They have different toppings like corn and edamame. I got the medium first time I've been back twice and switched to the small it was more than enough. The small has two scoops of protein and the medium has 3. There is also a tea and boba bar which I have not tried yet. San Clemente is not a very diverse area. I hoe the locals will come out and give this place a shot. read more

Always great food at every location! Although this location was the first to show less than stellar customer service! I asked if I could give my phone number for the loyalty program, and she informed me this location uses loyalty cards. I said ok, waited and was not offered a loyalty card or form. We love Poke Tiki so I'm sure we will be back, hopefully next time I can get a loyalty card! read more

My second visit here and I gotta say, I am loving this place. For poke bowl: Small (2 proteins) $9.99 Medium (3 proteins) $10.99 Large (4 proteins) $12.99 I am glad it is a fixed price and not pay by the lbs kinda place. I got the medium bowl, and there is a lot of food for 2 people or for 2 servings. They have boba drinks as well. I recommend the Thai Milk or Taro Milk with boba. Both are delicious. The house matcha tea is actually not too bad. read more

I've tried almost every poke place in Orange County and this one is by far my favorite. Always super fresh and they give huge portions. The wide range of sauces is one of the reasons why it's the best in my opinion. Amazing staff too! The lot was about half full at 5pm on a Sunday. The dining room is small. There are five or six tables, and some seating at the sushi bar. It does have a nice feel with the round interior, high ceiling, and many windows with a nice view outside. There was some light background music playing. It wasn't busy this early, but it started to get busier after 5:30pm. We started out with the four piece jalapeno poppers ($10). These were very good. The jalapenos were crisp, stuffed with cream cheese, with two sauces drizzled on top. I think there was also a little spicy tuna on top. Next, we ordered a California roll ($8) and a spicy tuna roll ($9). These were good standard rolls with fresh ingredients, and reasonably priced, especially for the area. They have a menu of chef's special rolls which sounded good, and we decided to try the Pink Lady (Inside: Shrimp, Crab, Spicy Tuna, Avocado, Outside: Salmon, Jalapeno, Lemon, Soy Paper, Mustard Ponzu, $20). It might seem a little expensive, but it a roll with no rice. It was excellent, and well worth the money. If you love citrus like I do, you have to try it. I have never had pink lemon before. It's still tart but sweeter than a yellow lemon and less sweet than a Meyer lemon. Our server was friendly, and our food arrived promptly. We would return again when in the area. The only downside is that the restaurant is small. If the dining room is full, you may have to wait a while to be seated.

The blue breeze was sweet and fatty due to the blue majik coconut sorbet, and reminded me of a beautiful Hawaiian day. Everything I have tried has been great - the pulled pork, beef rib (absolutely amazing) and turkey. I haven't tried the chicken or pork ribs yet, but I plan to very soon. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that the bbq baked beans are among, if not the best, I have ever eaten. Service at Drift has always been really friendly. The environment is casual and fun (at times a little too noisy for me, but I'm pretty old and have a little trouble hearing conversation in noisy environments). I'm so glad I looked past my initial perception of Drift and gave it a try. It has become one of my favorite restaurants in San Clemente.

(We found street parking near Starbucks) I had my staff placed our name down since she lives closer, but they won't see you until all your party is here and that's fine. We ended up seating at the bar and left the booth for other parties. Love the teamwork, the staff were super stars doing a rush like that, let me tell you it PACKED HOUSE and we got our food and drinks on time, no one in my party had to wait to eat and I forgot to take pictures of my staff meals, only took mines and what I got for the table to share was a croissant french toast, which I believe was their special of the day. I got the chicken fried steak and the portion are MASSIVE!!! All of us took our food home because the portion size are insanely big and bang for the buck!! Great place to eat breakfast or brunch or even a 'Team Building Breakfast Time' LOL Just happy to treating out my amazing staff on their work. So, why not five stars? Well, there's something... missing. The servers? Not exactly brimming with charisma. The lighting? Please enforce food safety training requirements in the state of California -- this seems like a widespread problem. I shouldn't have had to go through all that. And every time a customer has to point out something that should already be covered by basic food safety training, it's the customer who ends up looking like the difficult one -- not the restaurant that's at fault. I don't want someone's DNA in my food while I'm paying to patronize their business. That shouldn't happen.

Stop by next door to get my nails done for a wedding and decided I had some time to kill before my next meeting so I stop by. Keep in mind this was after the lunch rush so plenty of seating and no wait time i got in around 2;53pm and was pretty happy to be seated right away. I was hungry and I missed eating here, prices were still affordable and delicious. My meal came out to be less than $25 and yes, that is with tip. I ordered an appetizer of Shrimp and Vegetable tempura, coke and a shrimp & veggies tempura udon. Perfect combo on a gloomy day, and honestly, I need to head here more often. I did past by the other day right before 6pm and there were people waiting outside for a table so it's a great spot. I'm telling you guys, its the go to place in SC. Their sushi is pretty darn fresh too, if you don't want to drive all the way to Irvine or L.A.

Plenty of parking out front but can get busy during medical business hours since there's a lot of businesses in the parking lot. The Crunchyroll and the tuna sushi was fantastic. As was the Poké bowl.

Wow! Was this place good!…read more Also, it was very interesting the way they do their roles. It's almost like they don't have the bottom bit of rice, which made it so they were like way filled with the fish in the good stuff! We especially liked this role with the ahi tuna on top and randomly the California roll was so good. Service was prompt and prices were reasonable We did have to wait, but that's OK. A geological formation with feelings. This man covers one meter per stride while I am speed-walking like a determined squirrel in formalwear (or festive hamster?). And because I have to tilt my entire skull upward to communicate with him, I cannot see the ground. The ground, meanwhile, is throwing me curveballs. At one point, instead of warning me I'm about to trip on concrete, he just yanks me sideways with an "ahh!" Like I'm a decorative balloon at a child's birthday party about to blow away. I survive. But I make a mental note: must teach tall man how to steer small people. We are not luggage. We arrive. For sushi in America? Honestly? Pretty good. Suspiciously good. I deserve structural support. especially after the concrete declaring war? please. The no-rice sushi? Best I've had in the U.S. Except they used rice paper. Rice paper. Which is technically not, not, rice. But I'll allow it. Innovation is chaotic but smart. Now. The White Mushroom Roll--there were *no* mushrooms. let me repeat **NO** mushrooms Our server, Ary--Greek name, Mexican excellence, monk-level patience--explains that the roll is topped with a mayo cap before baking so it looks like a mushroom. I am a proud mushroom enthusiast. A fungal loyalist. I felt betrayed. But then... I tasted it... Why did it taste like clam chowder? Decadent. Creamy. Slightly illegal clam chowder. In sushi form. What coastal witchcraft is this? I was confused. I was impressed. I was emotionally unstable. At some point while chatting with Ary (probably lobbying for actual mushrooms), I casually mention it's my birthday. At the end of the meal... He returns with an ice cream platter and looks me dead in the eyes: "お誕生日おめでとう." (HBD) In Japanese. No warning. No drumroll. Just Ary, you icon. and a candle. So there I am. Five feet tall. In the corner. Singing "Happy Birthday" to myself because Tall Redwood Man is too shy?? Sir?? It is my birthday. You are 87 feet tall and afraid of melody? It's fine. It's ok. He did sing "Happy Birthday" ten times that day. (Nine times too many. but appreciated everytime, nonetheless) Overall review: Fish: surprisingly legit Mushroom: nonexistent Clam chowder sorcery: unsettling but delicious Sapporo: emotional support received Tall date: needs steering lessons Would I order the mushroom roll again, knowing it contains zero mushrooms? ...Unfortunately, yes.
