Best poke place ever! Good portions, quality ingredients, friendly service. I particularly appreciate the tofu vegetarian option.

Food was great! But WOW...talk about Nickel & Dime...for EVERYTHING! "Anything past this...it's an additional $1.00, anything here...only 2 comes with your bowl, that you're already paying like $12.00 for that isn't full at all & very minimal on the Fish that they give you (literally 1 Scoop and anything over the top of that scoop...NOPE gets scraped off!) Unfortunately $30.00 later for 2 bowls that are NOT even full, OUCH! My advice, better off driving a little further to Poke Sushi Roll or Go Fish Poke for your money's worth! Never paid $30.00 for 2 bowls at either place & usually can't finish the bowl because I'm full after 1/2. No additional costs, more than 1 actual scoop of fish, no additional costs for toppings...and bowls are full to the Top! read more

i will not shit around here. pokē time is one of my two favorite poke places (the other being dondonpoke) - i go to pokē time more often because it's insanely close to where i live. i've been eating their poke for years (since high school!). i drag all my friends there because i love their food and the people who work there. trust me when i say that this place ruins most other poke places through its sheer virtuosity. a few things that differentiate pokē time from other poke places: - very kind owner/employees (formerly of sushi haruya) - i can vouch for their consistency. years of consistently good poke do not lie - $1 miso soup (with optional green onion) - freshness of protein and veggies is always A+ - charming, calm atmosphere (most other poke places feel too industrial - not pokē time!) - drinks selection; they have some hawaiian sun drinks as well as la croix and other sodas/teas, plus bottled water. maybe canned coffee drinks? - bulgogi beef and bbq eel as poke proteins (!!!!!) alongside the standard fishes, shrimp, and tofu. bbq eel is a bit pricey but... - they do NOT skimp on the protein - mango as a side! i love getting double mango! it also does not cost extra! - the only thing that costs extra is avocado (+$1) - a little candy treat with each order - sometimes they have spam musubi - you can get macarons as well - no radishes. this is not a deal breaker for me but just in case you had your heart set on radishes - like 4-5 different poke sauces? plus spicy mayo or wasabi mayo? i have tried every sauce and there are no duds here - more aesthetically pleasing household plants than the average poke establishment - my friends who do not like veggies love this place too! my usual is quite "raw": i get a regular bowl with white rice, salmon + tuna protein with combined original poke and spicy ponzu sauce, mixed in with green onion and masago, double mango for the sides, and cucumber + avocado added to it, with sesame seeds on top. miso soup with green onion. drink of water. i highly recommend this meal!! makes me feel like a paragon of health after i eat it!! would like to add: i usually see the same two employees at the counter; they're super sweet, they remember me and recognize me even with different hair colors and a face mask, and, without fail, ask me how i'm doing. we don't know each others' names, but i feel that we share a spiritual bond. however, today, for the first time in at least three years, i saw some new dude at the counter. he also seemed pleasant and made a perfectly good poke bowl, so i'm sure we will be able to bond as well. another addition: they are doing this new ordering system where you write your order on a piece of paper and give it to the poke craftsman behind the counter, and then you sit at a table and wait. i do not have an opinion on it, but i thought future guests may appreciate the heads up. read more

I normally love this place. Food is fresh and great quality. Lots of toppings and sauces. It's a perfect lunch option. But the small portions of protein on recent trips has really left a bad taste in my mouth given the price of $15 for a bowl. The scooper for the salmon is way too small to consider that one portion. If it's a cost issue, they should offer less variety and focus on their core ingredients. If it's a consistency issue, make sure all servers are aware of what the customer values. This is my third time here and I absolutely love the entire place. The workers are so kind, it's 28° outside and as I was checking out the cashier made sure the temperature in here was perfect for me, and to let him know if he should change it. I had gotten a miso soup, he even came by to refill it for me, no charge. They always check of what they're giving you in your bowl is the perfect amount, and also give suggestions on what would make the bowl better. They measure out how much protein (cubed sashimi) they put in your bowl, but that's totally understandable. What business in their right mind would give you a whole filet of sashimi and not charge appropriately? The quality of the fish is spot on as well. (I'm a regular sushi eater so I know bad fish). I am genuinely surprised Poketime doesn't receive more business than what it seems. I'm always the only one sitting down and eating inside. This place is always going to be my first choice. The kindness, quality and value of this place is absolutely ten star worthy, but I can only give them five. read more

Meh. Suuuuuper underwhelmed considering so many good reviews. The "large" bowl is more like a small,they are SUPER skimpy with ALL of the ingredients...she put barely any rice in the bowl and asked if i wanted more, i said yes of course! That's a very small amount for a large bowl...she put less than a half a scoop additional . I also asked for extra saucy all around... and the bowl was pretty dry. On top of that the sauces were pretty flavorless for poke. 3 stars because the fish was reasonably fresh, and the lady was nice. read more

I just had a large poke bowl with brown rice and it was awesome! They cooked the rice nicely, not soggy and with just the right texture. I've found that brown rice is often overcooked. The fish was fresh and the avocado that I added as an extra was worth it as it paired well with the yellow tail especially. Having Sriracha available is also a must in my opinion so I'm glad they have it around. I love this place! read more

I was working on the area for a couple of days and so I decided to try the two Poke spots near my hotel. I tried Poke Time first. The place was very clean and the women helping me very nice. The food was visible behind the glass which is a plus. I ordered tuna and shrimp and lots of extras over a rice and salad base. While the experience was excellent the food was pretty bland, not memorable at all. I expected sushi rice and the rice was more plain than sushi :-(. Pretty sure I will not return. read more

My husband and I frequent Poke places at least 2-3 times a week. We are very confident in our Poke opinion - first, there is a distinct fishy smell when you walk inside. Always a bad sign. Next, protein portions are very small. We also think the way they prepare their spicy tuna in a mashed up way is strange. The rest of the menu is okay, however the pineapple is clearly canned and not even close to being fresh. Positive points for having two kinds of crab meat, most Poke places don't have that. The price point is pretty standard for a Poke place. Negatives for not having a fountain drink option. On to taste - the fish is VERY fishy. We couldn't even finish our bowl because it was so strong. I still have a lingering fish taste in my mouth. The brown rice is strangely cooked also, borderline mushy. This place is fine if you have no idea what good Poke is and happen to be in the area, but honestly if you drive about a mile further further toward the mall, Fish Bowl Poke is delicious and will exceed your expectations. Also the bathrooms clearly need a deep clean and certainly are not kept up daily. read more

Luckily for me, I found a place that was good from the start. My favorite aspect about this place is that they don't skimp when it comes to quality as well as quantity. They always give huge portions, so the regular is plenty for me. There are also a lot of toppings and sauces to choose from, and you can choose as many as you like, which is nice. The mixins are also unlimited. The only ones that are limited, are the protein and sides, which there isn't much to choose from, so it's not a problem.
