I'm not sure how this place got four stars. Their poke was mediocre at best. However, my rating dropped from three stars to two stars due to the poor service. During my time in the restaurant, there were only three customers, me and two people who came in after me. After I ordered I watched as a guy in a grey Trailblazers cap started making my bowl. It seemed as if he was purposely moving slow to show how bored he was. At one point he put the tongs down, yawned, and started talking to the other employee. After about 20 seconds of conversation, he finally continued to slowly finish my bowl. Once the bowl was done, he put it next to the cashier. Not sure why since I was the only one waiting for a bowl. I patiently waited since the cashier was helping the 2nd of the three customers there. Once the transaction was done, she looked down at my bowl, looked at me, and said, "Next" to the last customer in the restaurant. At that point I had it and asked if I could just get my bowl so I could leave. Don't waste your time here. Yaya Poke down the street is honestly tastier. Service isn't perfect there, but at least they make the bowls much faster. read more

Have been here a few times and prefer this place to T&Bowl. Yes, it's a bit more but they give you decent portions and the items are fresh. I didn't give them 4 star because the guy gave me salmon instead of ahi, and we were the only ones there so no excuse for not reading the order. Didn't notice until I got home. Dude this poke place is bomb.com! Its so delicious! Came here with my gf and when I entered got a great welcoming from Mimi! Shes pretty awesome helped me out with the menu because it was my first time so I had many questions. I ended up getting everything on my bowl cause you know I am a big guy and I love to eat plus you can get as many toppings so why not? What's a nice poki bowl in Oakland. I'm a huge fan of poki bowl and now they have it in Oakland Chinatown. They have 2 sizes of the poki bowl which is medium and large. They have a lot of different kind of sauce, this time I got the poki sauce and it is really good. They also have some sushi rolls also. I used to love this restaurant, visiting multiple times month. The transition from Poke Zone to Mo's has sent the place downhill. I purchased a 3 protein bowl for $11.50 and was changed $12.75 at the counter, when I inquired if I had purchased an extra the associate said, no we raised the prices. I said it was inappropriate to charge a different price than that on the menu and order sheet and he shrugged at me. I asked to speak to the manager and he gave me the same "couldn't care less" attitude. I asked him to pass my comment to the owners and he didn't even acknowledge me. It's really piss poor to update the register and not the menus or order sheets and it's terrible that they have reduced the quality of their staff. I can no longer recommend that people eat at this restaurant. read more

This place is great! They have really great customer service, which is typically rare in most places that I go to. It seems like the workers enjoy working there. The food is always delicious. I have been going their almost daily for the last two weeks. They have a great selection of teas. The price is pretty good as well. The restaurant itself looks really nice. Let me first begin by saying I LOATHE businesses that don't honor their business hours - whether you are working graveyard, worked the restaurant hours into your evening plans, date night, or to satisfy a sporadic craving - the business should be in full service the hours that they claim to be. That said, the sushi is pretty decent. Nothing amazing, but fair prices and good. You won't get sick, and you'll enjoy it for late night cravings, date night, and when undecided on a simple meal. HOWEVER, this business continues to close early and not service customers who arrive before closing. Tonight, after rushing to get here I arrived at 833 and was turned away because last call is at 830; she didn't even look at her watch, which reaffirms past experiences of me arriving at just after 8 before last call and still being turned away or arriving to locked doors altogether. So 3 stars. 4 if they honored hours, 5 if the service was epic. But, the reality is the staff are how I like my Uber drivers: they say hello, take you where you need to go (make your food), and don't say much - they aren't necessarily "friendly" and don't give me the feeling that I want to come back, but overall meets the need. read more

Just gross. Ordered a simple dish for delivery, chicken teriyaki, says the chicken is grilled, of course. You expect it to have some 'char' you know, from being grilled. But it had no color, no grill marks, it was just had a dull pallor, like if you were to cook a chicken breast over low heat. It was bland and rubbery. It was disgusting. They are very unorganized. Every time I come here the staffs are more absorbed in their conversations among each other than in the guests. They talk while working as if they are familiar with what they are doing. Yet I've had 3 mistakes per visit already, possibly due to multitasking (them talking while making the bowl). One was from my friend who ordered shrimp because he didn't like raw fish, yet they gave him salmon? Another was from me ordering 3 scoops of protein (2 salmon, 1 octopus) but never got the octopus. I was already at work by that time so I could not get the order changed. This time they missed an entire california roll order that was supposed to come along with my pokebowl and drink. I got charged for it and never received because I was again, out of the store by the time i found out. :/ In my pokebowl there was also 1 ingredient in there that I'm sure I did not mark because they gave me back the paper i filled out. Definitely not getting my money's worth... I will keep coming here but less frequently, and wait until the staffs are more familiar with their environment. Right now, it's still very unprofessional. Where is the manager? I want to order with confidence; not with paranoia in that there could be potential mistakes or a missing dish. read more

First time experiencing Poke Zone. I had it delivered via Door Dash, so this isn't rating anything to do with the physical location. I have never been there. I had the 3 protein poke bowl with pretty much everything in it, except mango. I like mango, just haven't had it with fish before, so I didn't want to risk it today. Everything tasted very fresh and the presentation was nice. I also ordered a milk tea. It's "ok". That is why I took 1 star off. For $4.25 I would like to super enjoy my milk tea and the boba pearls as well. If you are a super fan of boba milk tea, don't order it from here if you are getting it delivered. Maybe that is where the disconnect was - but I don't think so. The boba itself is where I have my issue. The milk tea flavor is very boring (my fault, not theirs, but they just don't have the flavors I usually see at ShareTea) and the boba pearls are weird. I don't know how to explain why I don't like them... but they are off. I go to a lot of boba tea places, not just ShareTea, but that is one I go to a lot. And the boba just tastes better. SO...maybe today was an off day. However, the FOOD... YES! Get it. Go for it. The price is decent, the portion was good... Oh I also go the shrimp tempura roll. Bored with that too. A must poke store to go to, place is contemporary and clean, and there is enough seating for a few people. Service is so friendly! When we were debating which sauce to get, they offered to give us a taste, how pleasant and thoughtful!:) the bowl has extra greens which are Americanized, but it is all good. It is a good amount of food, and fairly good price for the size it comes with. The fishes they had are really fresh which are cut upon sales. I had octopus that came with wasabi mayonaise and spicy mayonaise which make it a bit spicy taste of wasabi to kick off the taste of your bowl even better. read more

Poke zone is a small restaurant offering poke bowls and various sushi rolls. I came here in the afternoon around 3 and ordered a lion king, california roll, and a small poke bowl. They have a menu to write down your order and there are alot of choices! The sushi tasted fresh and delicious! And I was pretty full after eating the bowl. My girlfriend loved the Lion King! I came here to try their sushi rolls and I ordered the Lion King. It was delicious! They also have poke bowls here which are customizable bowls with your choice of one base, one side, unlimited toppings, and up to three proteins. They have alot of options and the workers are friendly! All their toppings and fish are fresh and clean. It is a bit small and there isnt much seating, but the orders are all to go so it is convenient to enjoy at home. I'll definitely be back for more! read more

I highly recommend this place for quality fish, generous portions, and super friendly staff! We saw them cutting up some fresh fish and I asked what it was. It was hamachi, and we all agreed loudly how much we loved hamachi. While we were enjoying our tasty poke bowls, one of the guys brought over a hamachi roll on the house just because he heard how much we love it. Super cool! I ordered a large poke bowl and California roll. They were packaged very nicely and pretty good! The fish was nice and ingredients tasty, lots of food way more than I could eat. The bowl isn't too deep but it is plenty filling. Recommend getting the sauce on the side. read more

I never had a poke bowl before I went to Poke Zone. I was quite surprised on how delicious it was! The fresh salmon, clownfish eggs, and the poke signature sauce were an amazing concoction of flavors! Also, the staff at Poke Zone were very nice and helpful!
