So I'm a bit confused as to why I'm getting different pricing on bowls that are always the same size and ingredients. How is it $14 one and and $17 on another day? And when I try to ask the lady about it, she's rude and snippy about it and doesn't try to help me in any way shape or form and wouldn't let me finish my damn sentence. Not often you find a poke place located inside the mall so I decided to check it out. I ordered rice with 3 scoops (2 x salmon & 1x spicy tuna). For the sauce I got spicy mayo, ponzu, and sesame oil. The fish was fresh. The spicy tuna had a nice kick to it from sriracha. My meal was delicious. I really enjoyed it. However, the price was a bit high for what the restaurant offered. The side dish options were very limited. Some side dishes aren't common though, like mango, corn, and red onion. Personally, I don't like those sides with my poke because it creates too much contrast for me. All and all, this place is a decently good place and worth checking out next time you're craving poke! read more

Every time it's always fresh, and they give you a good amount I usually get a small bowl with two servings of salmon, cucumber salad, seaweed salad, masago, edamame, cucumbers, tomatoes, scallions, house soy, ponzu, seaweed flakes and sesame seeds The girl who put my bowl together was pretty off putting. She seemed to be irritated during the whole exchange. They weren't wearing name tags which was weird. She was a bit heavy set, dark complexion Although the girl who rang me up was nice. They have generous fish portions and are not skimpy on the toppings. Unfortunately not a 5-star experience. They do not change gloves between order or when ringing up on the register. They are still not mixing the raw fish with the sauce. Sometimes they put too much sauce on top and the rice will become a soup when you get to the bottom. read more

I was surprised to see a poke spot within the vicinity! Came in here for lunch. Purchased the large portion which is advertised as 4 scoops, but they definitely give you much more. It was my first time seeing spicy salmon! A+ rating for their spicy salmon and their fresh fish. They have a decent amount of sides and fish to chose from. I would recommend coming here if you are in the mood for poke. I paid roughly 13 dollars for the large option. Their portions definitely worth every penny. My wife and I both loved the Tempura shrimp. I would get it often when we weren't ready for a full meal and wanted something to munch on. It was very good plump nice firm shrimp in a typical thin Tempura batter, what's not to love. However this last visit didn't go as well. The shrimp were small and kind of mushy with a thick layer of batter around it. There was no shrimp flavor at all and then that mushy tasteless shrimp. We won't be back. Should have done what Panda Express did and raise prices, not sacrificed the quality of the food. read more

I was so happy to find this new poke spot. This place is located in the Montclair shopping mall and it was right at the entrance of the food court. The fishes were great and the price was decent. The staff was super nice and the fish cuts are big. Hey have a great variety of fish choices and toppings. The food was so tasteful and I enjoyed every bite of it. I ordered a vegan tofu bowl with half brown rice and half salad, along with the unsweetened green tea. Everything was delicious and full of flavor!! The jalapeños were spicy, just like I want them to be. The mangoes were a surprising addition with the spicy soy and ginger. The Japanese seaweed salad and cucumber salad combo danced together perfectly. Cannot explain it, it's too good!! A fellow employee, Tammy, arranged my poke bowl to the furthest perfection. One of the best poke I've had. They give you REALLY big good portions, definitely worth the price. Seafood is fresh as well.

This place had decent prices for the portions that they gave out. Yet, I HATED how they do not mix the raw fish with any sauces. Most poke places will mix the fish with sauces like sesame or soy or ginger, so the fish isn't bland and they also mix the toppings in with the fish. So when I sat down and I ate this then fish tasted bad,bland, and fatty. Also the they don't mix in the "MIX INS" with the fish. read more

I really enjoy going to the Montclair Mall food court. They had updated it very well. Pokeway is one of my favorite places to go at this food court. They have a good selection of protein and toppings. Their musabi is great but unfortunately this time around they ran out of seaweed so we ordered them without which wasn't the same. We did get a discount since they didn't have the seaweed .I also got their Gyoza for the first time there and it was very good. I think that had to have been the best gyoza I have had and I've tried this appetizer at a lot of places. Keep up the good work Pokeway. read more
