Stopped by on Sunday, 03/23/25 during lunch time. Located inside the food court area at the Montclair Place Mall, I ordered the following: - 1 2-scoop bowl = $14.49 TAX = $1.49 TOTAL = $15.79 You first choose your base (I got brown rice). Secondly, you choose 2 sides (I got crab meat and spicy crab meat). Thirdly, you choose your protein (I got the tuna and scallop). Fourthly, you get to choose your toppings (unlimited) - I essentially opted in for everything (especially the corn!). Lastly, choose sauces. Overall a fulfilling meal. I had leftovers!

literally my go to place to get poke! workers are nice and efficient, the line is never long so im barely there for a minute and i can eat right after. i get their salmon every time and it has always hit!

One of my favorite poke spots to come to.. The fish, seafood and ingredients is always fresh they have a nice selection to choose from the poke bowl is my go to with a side of Shrimp Tempura I love the Seaweed Salad.. so if your in the Montclair mall stop by you will not be disappointed....

Affordable. Fresh. And filling. The options are great and the portion is even greater. My mom and I came in for lunch, and we were pleased with both service and our meals. 10/10 recommend! Also, there is plenty of seating both inside and out on the patio. Casual food court ambiance.

I love this hidden gem. Everyone sleeps on Pokeway due to being inside the mall and other Poke places around. BUT they can't beat the price for quantity served. I always get the large bowl, and switch it up with their fresh options, check the menu. It's so convenient for me coming out of the gym for a good post workout meal. AND also great customer service. Overall, their seafood is fresh and has never failed to satisfy my taste buds so far. Ps. Will mix your bowl if you ask them saves you the time of you mixing it at home lol. read more

So good! The poke is always fresh. I go at least once a week with my dad. However, there were two girls working together. They both had those long lashes. They kept talking to each other most of the time and absolutely no smiles, almost as if they were miserable. I felt a little uncomfortable ordering because I felt like they were judging me. read more

The Montclair Plaza (seriously, no one is going to call it the "Montclair Place") had a massive remake of itself and this happens to be a new spot. Being a lover of Poke and just seafood in general, I gave it a go. The employees are quite friendly, albeit tired since it was over 100 degrees so I can't help but tip them a lot for even working in that condition. The Poke bowl I got was great, I wasn't expecting much since this is the Inland Empire, but it met my expectation. They also got a stamp card to wring me into coming back, which I will. read more

This place used to be the best place for me however I have recently found several places that are way better. I used to be a die hard Pokeway fan. When comparing my food in the past few times I feel it got progressively worse. It's not bad but it's not the best either. Wish I could give 2 1/2 stars. read more

I stopped here today for the first time in over a year, due to getting vaccinated and being more comfortable doing pick-up at the mall. So glad they're still here, the food is even better than I remember and the staff was very quick and friendly. Their portions are very generous, and the food was super fresh. So I bought a medium with three proteins and rice. They have several sides to choose from and they give you a large portions. Or so I think so compared to other poke places. This is one of the best poke that I have had in such a long time. I have tried several poke spots and this one by far is one of the better ones, comparing sides and choices they have. The flavor is by far a lot better, the different fishes that they offer have terrific flavor. I recommend this spot if you enjoy Poke. read more

The food here is pretty good, and sort of reminds me of sushi. When we visited there wasn't too many people, but don't let that deter you. The people making the bowls are pretty responsive, but that also led to a bit of miscommunication. All and all, a good experience. Especially since it was my first poke place. read more

First time back today after months of this restaurant being shut down. Was very disappointed in the overall quality and portion amount. Been coming here almost weekly for years. The regular crab had so much mayo the taste was bland and it was clear they were trying to stretch the product. Portions were much smaller than normal as well. This place is one of my favorites to get poke at. The staff is always amazing and the quality is great. With Covid-19 they closed for a while but I always said I couldn't wait until they open back up. Now I appreciate being able to eat here more than before. I was hesitant about eating Poke from a Mall but after the first time I tried it, I'm obsessed with this Poke spot, i work down the street and probably get it at least once a week. Their small is huge! Fills me up all day and it's only $9.95. It comes with a base or half and half rice and salad, 2 proteins, 2sides, tons of toppings and sauces. Their protein is fresh and tender, doesn't taste old and they are generous with their scoops. The salad always tastes fresh and never like it's been sitting for a while and browning. As long as i'm working in Montclair, I don't think i'll stop coming here and it's a plus that they have a stamp card! Only thing that kind of sucks is they only give free miso soup after 2 pm but their portions are so big sometimes you don't even need the miso! read more

My poke was ready when I got there to pick it up. It was packaged with the sauces on the side, which was perfect so thes salad greens didn't start to wilt. Best of all, it was not only delicious but generously portioned! And I got a small! I couldn't even finish all the salad greens...lol. Highly recommend! read more

Don't go here unless you want attitude with your food. Couldn't go here without one of the employees giving me her attitude about ordering a second bowl and making a mad face. She said that next time I need to order everything at once. Well I don't work here so it's YOUR job to ask if I have more items to add to my order before moving on from the protein, not mine since I'm not familiar with the procedure. Giving me attitude because I inconvenienced you? It's your job. Last thing I needed after a long day at work. Was actually looking forward to enjoying my meal and my boyfriend didn't want to order his bowl because of this so I was the only one that ate. To top it off, they don't answer the phone so that I could speak to a manager. Definitely will not be coming back here. read more

I am officially a poke fan! Yum!! Fresh selections of protein and veggies. Seafood heaven. Chose the 3 scoop bowl because I was starving lol - brown rice, crab and seaweed salad w/scallops, spicy salmon, and shrimp. Then topped it off with cucumbers, onions, cilantro, crunch garlic & onions, spicy mayo, eel sauce, and a sesame oil. The ingredients alone is the bulk of my review LOL! So much food, could not finish it all. Everything was fresh and simply delicious. Basically like a sushi bowl Of happiness. Cannot wait to come back here again! If you are in the area, it's a must! I was a little skeptical at first because usually food mall food courts are okay. I pass this place every time I'm at the mall. However, I finally decided to try it and I must say, I'm impressed! Similar to other make-your-own poke bowls but also different. They don't mix all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Instead, they scoop the ingredients including fish onto the rice. They drizzle the sauces over the fishes at the end which I find to prefer at times. They're also one of the few locations that serve spicy salmon and spicy crab mix, which I thought were pretty good. I got it my bowl with the house sauce which I liked. Overall, I'd come back here if I were shopping again at the mall. read more

I was pretty sceptical about this so called "poke" because of its mall location, but I''m glad to say that Pokeway did not let me down. With delightful service and not overly pricey bowls, I discovered that you get a lot for your money... The portions are generous! It is truly the best of both worlds, quality and quantity. Then tuna was fresh and the rice was warm. You can choose from white or brown rice, and even mix in a salad and do half and half. All around 5 stars! read more

My favorite was the Garlic Shrimp plate, but the price has DOUBLED in the last couple of years, and I refuse to be gouged. The cost of the other plates is now higher than the shrimp used to be too. The Hawaiian rice was tasty but always overpriced considering the little portion of meat in it. This is not chain restaurant, so I seriously doubt they are paying their staff the fast-food wage that CA mandates for fast-food workers, so I chalk it up to price gouging. Chicken, rice and macaroni prices have not doubled, and I can buy over 2 lbs of shrimp for $18 (total cost of Garlic Shrimp plate) vs the 14 shrimp on the Garlic Shrimp plate. So, they've lost a steady customer because of their greed. I'd go back if their prices were more reasonable because I used to enjoy most of the dishes I tried. After reading a few other reviews, it sounds like the owners have changed and the nice guy that used to work the front is now gone since I've been there over a yr ago. If they bothered to post a menu online, I could see if the prices are now more reasonable and I'd try it again. That's why I checked out their website today, but no luck.

I just agree with the statement earlier that there are better rice bowl, hawaiian, and/or teriyaki food joints in the area at either a much better quality or better pricing. This seems to find that line where what you get, though good, is a bit over-priced for what you get and there is no recourse to get something smaller because then you will be over-paying and still hungry. I'd almost give this place a 4 though because I did enjoy the meal quality-wise.

Update: Not sure what they did but the food is coming out consistent now and no more wilted spinachread more

Came here around opening as a preworkout meal before hitting Gold's! Got the medium but before that the kind employee asked if it was a pre// post workout as my gym outfit said it all and recommended getting half brown rice for energy and salad! From there i got seaweed salad then I asked for recommendations on light proteins and she recommend getting the ones without sauce and boy was she right! Got all the toppings as they have many choices to choose from! Asked for light sauce recommendations as well and she asked if i liked something like soy sauce (house) and she can dilute it with some sesame oil. Ingenious. The best mix thats not too heavy but full of flavor. Im posting this as i have time after workout and errands and Throughout my workout i felt so energized so shoutout to the only girl working this morning! I wish I asked for her name but she was Asian & had black hair & was really sweet, tiny, and cute smiling all the way! People need more employees that can fulfill a customers needs by just conservation, dietary ones too + concerns and it was on point. This gem is hidden near Noodle world and way across from Panda, chill ambience and not very busy in the morning. Great for fish lovers like me! Just stopped by Pokeway and my wife and I love to come here but barely had anytime to ever make a review, ha! Anyways shout out to candace for making my bowl even though she was suppose to be on her lunch break (i was wondering why she was looking so flustered but unlike many workers around the food court she brushed it off with a big smile and positivity and said she did not mind working overtime at all, my wife likes her alot!) and the other girls working tonight because their service was excellent! My go to is spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and spicy shrimp with ponzu, wasabi mayo, and eel sauce, yum! If youre a first timer to Poke, i recommend trying Pokeway. If I had to put infinite stars I would ! This place is amazing and super fresh . I got a small bowl with both regular and spicy crab and salmon and spicy shrimp , I wish they brought back their spicy salmon .
