I love this hidden gem. Everyone sleeps on Pokeway due to being inside the mall and other Poke places around. BUT they can't beat the price for quantity served. I always get the large bowl, and switch it up with their fresh options, check the menu. It's so convenient for me coming out of the gym for a good post workout meal. AND also great customer service. Overall, their seafood is fresh and has never failed to satisfy my taste buds so far. Ps. Will mix your bowl if you ask them saves you the time of you mixing it at home lol. read more

Being a lover of Poke and just seafood in general, I gave it a go. The employees are quite friendly, albeit tired since it was over 100 degrees so I can't help but tip them a lot for even working in that condition. So I bought a medium with three proteins and rice. They have several sides to choose from and they give you a large portions. Or so I think so compared to other poke places. This is one of the best poke that I have had in such a long time. I have tried several poke spots and this one by far is one of the better ones, comparing sides and choices they have. I stopped here today for the first time in over a year, due to getting vaccinated and being more comfortable doing pick-up at the mall. The food here is pretty good, and sort of reminds me of sushi. When we visited there wasn't too many people, but don't let that deter you. The people making the bowls are pretty responsive, but that also led to a bit of miscommunication. All and all, a good experience. Especially since it was my first poke place. read more

First time back today after months of this restaurant being shut down. Was very disappointed in the overall quality and portion amount. Been coming here almost weekly for years. The regular crab had so much mayo the taste was bland and it was clear they were trying to stretch the product. Portions were much smaller than normal as well. This place is one of my favorites to get poke at. The staff is always amazing and the quality is great. With Covid-19 they closed for a while but I always said I couldn't wait until they open back up. Now I appreciate being able to eat here more than before. I was hesitant about eating Poke from a Mall but after the first time I tried it, I'm obsessed with this Poke spot, i work down the street and probably get it at least once a week. Their small is huge! Fills me up all day and it's only $9.95. It comes with a base or half and half rice and salad, 2 proteins, 2sides, tons of toppings and sauces. Their protein is fresh and tender, doesn't taste old and they are generous with their scoops. The salad always tastes fresh and never like it's been sitting for a while and browning. As long as i'm working in Montclair, I don't think i'll stop coming here and it's a plus that they have a stamp card! Only thing that kind of sucks is they only give free miso soup after 2 pm but their portions are so big sometimes you don't even need the miso! read more

Don't go here unless you want attitude with your food. Couldn't go here without one of the employees giving me her attitude about ordering a second bowl and making a mad face. She said that next time I need to order everything at once. Well I don't work here so it's YOUR job to ask if I have more items to add to my order before moving on from the protein, not mine since I'm not familiar with the procedure. Then topped it off with cucumbers, onions, cilantro, crunch garlic & onions, spicy mayo, eel sauce, and a sesame oil. The ingredients alone is the bulk of my review LOL! I was a little skeptical at first because usually food mall food courts are okay. I pass this place every time I'm at the mall. However, I finally decided to try it and I must say, I'm impressed! Similar to other make-your-own poke bowls but also different. They don't mix all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Instead, they scoop the ingredients including fish onto the rice. They drizzle the sauces over the fishes at the end which I find to prefer at times. They're also one of the few locations that serve spicy salmon and spicy crab mix, which I thought were pretty good. I got it my bowl with the house sauce which I liked. Overall, I'd come back here if I were shopping again at the mall. read more
