It's very unlike myself to try a restaurant that had just opened up but since I've been craving a poke bowl for quite a while now and my favorite spots in the Fullerton/Brea area have gone downhill over the years so I decided to try this place out! I was greeted immediately even as the front of house workers were serving another person already. I was met with three friendly faces which included a shift lead, their general manager, and what seemed to be the owner(?). Here's what I ordered step-by-step: **STEP 1 - BASE: White Rice. **STEP 2 - PROTEIN: Ahi Tuna & Salmon. **STEP 3 - MIN-INS: Cucumber, Onion, Edamame, Serrano Peppers, Cilantro, & Hijiki Seaweed. **STEP 4 - SAUCES: Sesame Oil. **STEP 5 - TOPPINGS: Sesame Salad, Surimi Salad, Green Onion, Pickled Ginger, Wasabi, & Sesame Seeds. The rice was pretty average. It was lightly seasoned with sushi vinegar. It wasn't steaming hot nor was it brick cold. The protein are not weighed but they are measured with scoops. The large came with 3 scoops of protein so I opted out for 2 scoops of their ahi tuna and 1 scoop of their salmon. The proteins itself had little to no flavor and they were also cut into cubes but very small. The min-inx including the cucumber and onion were both very flavorless but everything seemed very fresh. The serrano peppers had a nice kick of spice which was great! Everything from the topping section was just okay and nothing to write home about. I understand them charging for avocado but to pay 50 cents for a scoop of masago was disappointing. I love masago on a poke bowl but I didn't bother with that extra cost. Overall, very decent new addition to the poke craze in Fullerton. I can see this location doing quite well since there's several high schools nearby as well as college campuses. Everything was fresh but the flavor department lacked a little bit. Service was spectacular so shoutout to every single person I interacted with while ordering. Good place but I don't see myself coming back here anytime soon because there are more flavorful and affordable poke places within a 10 mile radius. read more

I ordered a build your own poke bowl through DoorDash on 9/12 around lunch time and got the salmon and lobster with the signature sauce. The toppings, fish, and sauce were all delicious so I was so disappointed to find that the rice underneath was hard and old tasting. It was like it had been left out for a while or put in the fridge over night and reheated the next day. It ruined the whole bowl and I could only really eat the toppings and the fish which left me hungry still ): I know I'm not the only review that has complained about the hard/old rice! If this gets fixed then the bowls here would be very tasty but until then I will not be coming back. read more

To start of, I was attended as soon as I walked in by a very friendly employee. The whole restaurant looks shiny, clean and properly maintained. I ordered a regular bowl which comes with two proteins and any toppings and sauces. I was out of there in less then 5 minutes and I drove home to eat my poke bowl. The fish tasted very fresh and the flavors mixed well with all my toppings and sauces. There's a lot of variety for those who like it spicy, sweet, savory or all 3. The rice was cooked perfectly as well. What keeps this from 5 stars for me was the portion sizes. I understand that employees have no control over this as I'm sure good quality fish is expensive but this even applies to my edemame, cucumber and other veggies. I got a small spoonful of each topping from small metal tongs. As I ate my bowl I enjoyed all the great flavors but wish I had more variety from my toppings in better proportions. so this is a newer location but there were quite a few hiccups. first off the drink thing isnt set up. i had to go to the gas station next door to get a drink. the girl who was wearing the "shift lead" badge didnt wash her hands between customers. was touching her mask etc. i opt for a burrito. the rice was hard and crunchy not new and fresh. i wasnt given soy sauce. who wants a dry poke bowl or burrito. 2 young people working. very frazzled. my favorite location is still irvine location. good luck read more

Great Service! Staff member was very patient with me even though I kept having a brain fart every five seconds with trying to order! They have A TON of protein options! Small bowl is only one scoop of protein, Regular is two scoops, and a Large is 3 scoops. Kind of wish the small was two but that's totally okay! They also have a wide selection of sauces and toppings! Avocado is $1.50 extra, Masago is .50¢ extra, Sumiri is also .50¢ extra. Drinks options are mostly canned or bottled but they do have 4 types of fountain drinks (no soda, just lemonade and teas). The store looked very clean. As soon as I came in through the door there was a staff member out and waiting to assist me! It is good but extremely pricey for the quality of fish. The same girl would always help me and she seemed unwelcoming and not friendly. I always made sure to be polite and ask how she was yet she would give a weird look to me. The scoops of fish were so small in comparison to the rice ratio. It sometimes has a weird fishy taste that doesn't sit right with me but never makes me sick thankfully. Pros: The bowl was delicious, the dining area was clean and modern, and the server was nice. Cons: Way overpriced. Lack of protein options. My go-to poke spot offers scallops and albacore, and this place doesn't. Small portions. They tried to bribe me for a 5 star review. She offered me either a free beverage or snack (musubi) for a 5 star review. (By all means, offer incentives for ppl to give an honest review of your business, but don't tell them they have to give a 5 star before they even eat the food. Shady.) I swear this 3 meat burrito had about 3 cups of rice and maybe 3-4 ounces of protein & that's with the 3 protein option. I really didn't wanna do the review, I was hoping the protein was in the middle or at the bottom, because that happens sometimes but no, it was 99.9% rice the full way through. I was very satisfied with the food and service when I first came to this restaurant a couple months ago, but upon returning I was a bit disappointed. I got a medium poke bowl and the workers who prepared my order and rang me up were SUPER nice and friendly! My bowl tasted okay though... the fish was cubed super small compared to other poke places, which didn't affect the taste but made it feel a bit "cheap." The biggest thing for me was that the rice was a bit hard, which really ruined the bowl for me. I want to come back but am hesitant because of the last bowl I got, especially since a poke bowl isn't cheap and I wouldn't want to deal with the same disappointment. Other things to note that may be helpful: they have a large fish selection including marinated fish, so you definitely have options. Same with the topping bar, but I believe they charge extra for a scoop of masago and avocado. I ate in store this time and it was very clean, the ambiance was good- not too noisy. My friend and I wanted to check out this location since we were craving poke and didn't know Pokeworks had a location in Fullerton. This location is smaller than the Irvine location, but in a pretty common center by the university. On this particular day, there were two girls working, who had an attitude from the jump. Carelessly throwing ingredients into the bowl and not paying attention to what she was really doing. As for the food, the fish was cut into very small pieces and some of the veggies were very mushy like they were going bad. I really like Pokeworks since going to the Irvine location, but this was disappointing. I believe they just opened a few months ago so I hope that they can improve in some areas. read more

Had an Ahi Tuna and Shrimp bowl and everything was perfect. Rice was just right as if i was eating sushi itself, not dry not mushy. Fish somehow tasted as fresh as when I went to Hawaii, wherever they get the fish is great quality! Had the black garlic aioli mixed with the Sriracha and it was delicious flavor combination. I was served by Fahmi and he was explaing what flavors match with the sauces and the different toppings. Definitely don't forget to add the sarumi salad. It was great to have a knowledgeable and friendly staff, even though I wanted a custom bowl they suggested highly picked combinations of sauces, fish, toppings that tailored the bowl to feel and taste unique. I even appreciated how clean the area was, not sure how they do it when its always full of customers coming in and out but they do a great job with the presentation from the restaurant down to the bowl. 10/10 would recommend and bring friends. read more

I'm extremely disappointed I came in and now with this whole new law about the paper bags my miso soup fell to the side. The manager clearly stated that the employee who was new forgot to saran wrap however, nobody was helping the new employee and they shouldn't have left him alone on his second date I called the manager was very unprofessional. He was in the background, making noise with the plates doing everything. He wasn't really listening to me as the client. I then again proceeded to ask him how he was gonna compensate me back because it was their fault as he stated, they forgot to saran wrap my miso soup, which means that this is the reason why my bag ripped if the miso soup would've been surrounded wrapped then it wouldn't of fell over and soaked the entire bag, and then my entire meal fell on the floor to top it off when I arrived, the guy told me that he was speaking to the owner who refuse to speak to me, and I find that extremely perfect unprofessional as this was my very first time coming here the manager stated that he was going to replace my meal on top of it, compensate me back for the product that I lost so I ran back over there to get my money and my meal. When I arrived I found out that it was a lie. It was one or the other he not only didn't compensate me for my meal. He continued to smirk and laugh, which is very unprofessional but then again it's a restaurant business. It's not very professional for it being my very first time. I am very disappointed. I did get my money back, but I did not get the meal that I was lied. I spent my lunch time doing this and it really really sucks. So if I could, I wouldn't give them a one star I would give them a zero start because I was very disappointed. I went back for a meal that I was ready to receive. I was ready to have for it being my first time.
