After returning 3 months later, I can say the quality is better! The rice has a normal texture, and the service is excellent. The quality of the fish is fresher, and has a good taste. The staff was super understanding and helpful making my order and helping me check out. The space is still clean and friendly, with nice lighting and open seating. They don't have a way to scan the QR codes for rewards so make sure you have the app and save your receipts for points. read more

This review is overdue as I've been ordering for a few months now, but wanted to make sure I gave Jerry (hope that's his name) a shout out for helping me today. I was trying to process my online pick up order but was getting frustrated with their online ordering/app- my cc was declining because the cvv code was not working (not sure why) and then my rewards points weren't calculating or tracking for use on the order so I called out of annoyance, and spoke to him. He helped the situation and I got my order just in time for lunch. I ordered the large bowl, 3 protein plate. Rice as a base, ahi tuna, 2 salmon, cucumber, edamame, poke works classic, ponzu, sesame seeds, wonton crisps, and sriracha aioli on the side, and avocado. The dynamite shrimp was just too good. The flavor was bright and it went well with all the sides. I like that instead of spending my credits in ClassPass I just can come here. Be warned that finding parking here is really difficult around 5:00pm. I had to go around the parking couple of times. read more

First time at Pokeworks and it did not disappoint. Loved the store ambiance, it was bright and inviting. The service was great, everyone was friendly and fast! Now the food, it was probably one of the best Poke i had in the area. My proteins were fresh and the sauces were delicious (I got ponzu fresh and umami shoyu). Had Pokeworks for the first time on 2/26/26 for an early dinner. I was looking forward to the meal, seeing that most locations had 4+ stars with thousands of reviews. Upon looking at it, everything seemed fresh and fairly portioned. Unfortunately the white rice was almost inedible. It was hard as if the rice was undercooked or the person cooking it didn't provide enough water. It ruined the entire experience for me and didn't even finish the bowl. Probably will not be coming back to this location as others have had similar issues. Be weary. read more

Decided to check out the newish pokeworks that opened up near me. It is located right next to the also newish paris baguette. Location is easy to find and easy to get to. The parking lot is pretty busy, likely due to the gym, as well as other restaurants located in the same shopping center. The service was good, nothing out of this world but nice enough. I ordered 2 bowls. There are a good amount of different proteins, including chicken and tofu, as well as good amount of toppings that are included in the price. Scoops and toppings were well portioned, each bowl was about $15 which I felt was fair. Overall a good experience and will come back here again. read more

This was my first time eating here and I'm a big sushi fan. I love the amount of options for protein (even tofu for vegetarians) and I love that they offer black garlic sauce because black garlic is harder to find. The staff is friendly and very attentive. I have tried other pokeworks and they have always been really good. Today, this location was not good at all. We placed an online order for pick up for 2 pokebowls. We only live about 5 mins away. When we got home, the White rice was soggy. The rice was also so hot that it pretty much cooked our fish. Really disappointing. Everything taste like mush. Also, one plate was suppose to be half rice, half salad... it was all rice. Pretty disappointing. Maybe today was an off day (Sunday) read more

I genuinely dislike this location. It's almost always completely empty. The staff is usually kind and helpful, but the place feels dull and neglected. The drink machine is often broken, there are sometimes flies, and overall it feels like a cheap Yoshinoya knockoff. Portions are inconsistent too--it really depends on how generous the worker feels that day, which shouldn't be a thing. What's more confusing is that this place seems like it should be doing well, but it just isn't. It feels like someone thought they could buy success, slap a concept together, and let it run on autopilot. There's something honorable about food coming from people with real roots--Hawaii, Japan, the fish industry--people who actually care and are present. That's missing here. I never see an owner, never see leadership, never see anyone really trying. Things aren't fixed, there's no energy, no vision. It feels lazy and uninspired. If I owned this place, I'd be there every day--welcoming people, fixing what's broken, dialing in the menu, actually representing island food with pride instead of serving cookie-cutter bowls. Right now it feels like someone is just collecting money from a distance, and it's honestly embarrassing. This isn't about the staff--it never is. When a place feels this lifeless, it's always ownership and management. Until that changes, this spot just feels like a placeholder, waiting for something better to move in. read more

We ordered 3 bowls for delivery. Only 1 was accurate (the pre-built one). The two custom ones were not right. Furthermore, two of three were 2-protein and the third was a 3-protein. The 3-protein had less fish and rice than the 2-protein bowls. That was another letdown. The only thing I would say is that the flavors were not bad for the one they got right, and the other two were not bad either, but they were not great and not what we ordered. I'm standing in line, and I notice a DoorDash driver comes in to pick up an order. Waits patiently because it is busy and finally ask the worker about her order after waiting 10+ minutes and the worker says "oh I delivered that already" and then the DoorDash driver says, "well it was a big order. I was dispatched to deliver what happened." The store employee turned around and walked away I think that is very disrespectful of a company. I will not be back to this establishment. I don't usually make reviews but it pissed me off so much i had to make an account to drop a review. I gave a 2 cuz the staff was friendly and the store is clean. the other 3 stars was solely on food and portion sizing. Overall the store is clean and the staff are super friendly. All members welcomed me as i walked in. What annoyed my visit is the pricing and portion servings, i ordered a large bowl for 3 protein scoops. First of all the White Rice portions. like are we in a rice crisis?! if the rice was being saved for James Bola then i'll understand. Chipotle serves more rice than an asian restaurant that focuses on rice with their foods. Second of all, the lady who was serving me gave me 3 scoops of protein to ONLY fit the size of the scoop. Like she filtered the scoop when she scooped out of the bowl till there was almost nothing left on the scoop. I asked her to give me a proper scoop then she charged me extra. I did ask for Masago and i was aware of the .50¢ extra charge $24.24 after tax is crazy for a bowl that was not even half full. I could spend $14 at Chipotle with all toppings INCLUDING Guac and still not reach the $15 limit whilst still leaving the restaurant belly full. I'm an Avg sized man. i'm not overweight and I work out 5 days a week. I sometimes leave chipotle with a full stomach and food left to take home. But this place truly left me disappointed. Next time i'll go to Cava which is right next to Pokeworks just so i can leave with a full stomach. read more

This place is in a great location, especially if you are near CSUF. The food is decent and the staff has always been kind. One time, they even gave me a spam musubi for free when I couldn't apply a coupon to my online order, which I really appreciated. I also like that they offer tofu as a protein option, which not every poke place does. That said, I have noticed that every time I eat here, my stomach feels upset afterward and I end up needing to use the restroom. It is unusual for me since I have eaten raw fish my whole life and have tried plenty of poke places without any issues. I am not sure what it is, but it has happened consistently enough that I felt it was worth mentioning. This is a fresh, new location located within a mile of Fullerton College. The establishment is clean, with friendly employees. They offer a variety of options for poke bowls and poke burritos, with many different proteins and toppings. I have ordered takeout here a handful of times now since they have opened and every time it has been good with improvement to the previous visit. The poke bowls keep getting tastier! It's very unlike myself to try a restaurant that had just opened up but since I've been craving a poke bowl for quite a while now and my favorite spots in the Fullerton/Brea area have gone downhill over the years so I decided to try this place out! I was greeted immediately even as the front of house workers were serving another person already. I was met with three friendly faces which included a shift lead, their general manager, and what seemed to be the owner(?). Here's what I ordered step-by-step: **STEP 1 - BASE: White Rice. **STEP 2 - PROTEIN: Ahi Tuna & Salmon. **STEP 3 - MIN-INS: Cucumber, Onion, Edamame, Serrano Peppers, Cilantro, & Hijiki Seaweed. **STEP 4 - SAUCES: Sesame Oil. **STEP 5 - TOPPINGS: Sesame Salad, Surimi Salad, Green Onion, Pickled Ginger, Wasabi, & Sesame Seeds. The rice was pretty average. It was lightly seasoned with sushi vinegar. It wasn't steaming hot nor was it brick cold. The protein are not weighed but they are measured with scoops. The large came with 3 scoops of protein so I opted out for 2 scoops of their ahi tuna and 1 scoop of their salmon. The proteins itself had little to no flavor and they were also cut into cubes but very small. The min-inx including the cucumber and onion were both very flavorless but everything seemed very fresh. The serrano peppers had a nice kick of spice which was great! Everything from the topping section was just okay and nothing to write home about. I understand them charging for avocado but to pay 50 cents for a scoop of masago was disappointing. I love masago on a poke bowl but I didn't bother with that extra cost. Overall, very decent new addition to the poke craze in Fullerton. I can see this location doing quite well since there's several high schools nearby as well as college campuses. Everything was fresh but the flavor department lacked a little bit. Service was spectacular so shoutout to every single person I interacted with while ordering. Good place but I don't see myself coming back here anytime soon because there are more flavorful and affordable poke places within a 10 mile radius. read more
