Me and lady were looking to get some poke last night and she was feeling shaky because the last place we had was not good at all. But I am a avid poke lover so I thought let me just find a place and give it a chance. I did my research per usual and I can across Pokeworks! It was very close to our place as well so I loved that!! So we made our order on DoorDash before hand. The options they had were amazing. I was excited I went with the salad and she went with the regular poke bowl! So we went and picked up and came home and enjoyed it! Upon first bite my salad was I had the spicy salmon and spicy tuna both tasted so fresh and the flavor of the ponzu and their classic sauce was amazing! She had the spicy salmon and the shrimp and she really enjoyed it. She now is saying she wants to go back tonight and eat again lol. So ima take her cause I feel the same exact way! She said "the coupon only works for the 1st time". Well, no shit. The only reason the coupon showed up in the first place is because I literally just installed the app while in line. The reason it "didn't work" is because you got that dude to double-charge me. Editing the review is because this incident got me double-charged AND wasted my valuable time. You can refund cash but you can never refund my time, especially it was a mistake on YOUR side. 4 star to 1 star. Overall quality of the bowl is pretty good. The quality of the fish can vary on different days of week (or maybe I just came in on some bad days?), but the variety of toppings makes it up. Only complain is that the portion size for the price is definitely on the expensive range. The "large" is what most poke place would classify as regular/medium, and the price is also more expensive than most poke places. If they can ensure a more consistent quality on fish, adjust the price, and be a little more generous on portion, then I would probably come here more regularly. Definitely worth a try. read more

Staff here is very helpful and cool although it's usually packed but line moves fast as processing orders simple. The thing is when eat here u will notice the freshness easily and won't go for subpar fish quality even it was less $2 or it's within walking distance from ur home. Plus they have rice paper machine for the poke burrito that really helps it stay together while eating. One time we did get a very SLIGHT case of food poisoning from this site. I would have given this place four stars as it is pretty good poke. However, it is definitely on the expense side. I usually will still get it a few times a week because poke is relatively healthy and this is in the same plaza that I pick my mom up from work from. Last time I got it, I felt really sick. The fish tasted a little funny, and I couldn't finish my bowl. I called them to let them know and I also said that I was a regular customer. I was really disappointed when they didn't offer me any sort of compensation as I am a regular customer and their bowls are not cheap. I would have given them another try if they had called me back in with a complimentary bowl, but I won't be spending another $11 and risk getting a bad bowl again. My husband and I made an online order because we were starving and needed to eat after putting our 9 mth baby for a nap. we both have had good experiences with pokeworks and were craving poke so I ordered for us on the website and my husband went to pick it up. he came back with 2 very bland bowls and we checked the receipts to make sure that we had put our order in correct but unfortunately we received regular tuna and not spicy tina, and also there was no aioli sauce which we had requested. my husband called right when we realized the order was incorrect but of course it was just an automated machine with vm - this was around 1pm. Pokeworks is like a Chipotle set up, but for poke! They have so many options in terms of toppings that I don't typically see at other poke places like tofu and mango. They have a wide variety of unique sauces as well and I like how they ask for how heavy you want them to go on the sauce. You can get creative and mix sauces as well! They've got numerous and delicious dry toppings too. The sauces and toppings are all so flavorful and make up a pretty good poke bowl. It's on the pricier side of poke bowls, I got a regular sized bowl which was $10.50 and gets you 2 scoops of protein coming out to about $12 after tax. I'd say the unique and wide variety of sauces/toppings makes up for the price. I've been here twice already, but I've yet to try their organic drinks. They look really interesting/tasty, and best part is you get a free drink with your purchase if you check in, so I'll have to give that a try next time I come in! read more

The quality of the fish and toppings were up to standards. I got the ponzu and sriracha aoili as sauces. Avocado is an extra $1-2 or so as a topping. My bowl came to about $14 which was a little higher for the size than other places I've tried. Overall everything was tasty, but nothing that would draw me back to frequent this place as there's a lot of other competition for poke establishments in the OC. read more
