The interior is clean and bright and the employees have always been very welcoming every time we come here. Was in the area on our way to Lowe's when our tummy told us to hold off for a "sec bruh we hungry". It has been a while since we had some Poke so in we go. Place is clean. Decently crowded. There was a line, but the service was quick and fast. The only annoyance is that bf and I came together. It was my treat and the cashier charged me only for my bowl. We didn't realized it until we were walking to a table, and she was like "oh you didn't pay for yours sir." So that became a joke between him and I that 2020 means paying for our own meals LOL! Plenty of employees working behind the counter, also helped to keep things going. They greeted everyone that walked in. I got a poke bowl with white rice, shrimp and lobster, imitation crab, and a variety of add-ons. It was delicious! I've been looking for a good poke place for a while and this one is definitely one I'll come back to. Ideally I'll find a place that offers glass noodles for a base, but the rice here was so good that I didn't mind not having the noodles (my go-to base). Everything here is fresh and tastes good. The food has always been tasty. We usually get the regular size bowl that has 3 scoops of protein. We get 1 scoop of tuna with two salmon scoops. The onions bring flavor with the poké. We usually choose the poké sauce & spicy mayo. When I'm really feeling saucy I have them add spicy mayo to the rice. It's not really spicy at all- just flavor! You can also add another scoop of crab with no extra cost. We get all the toppings except jalapeños. They've added corn this year. My husband likes it but he said it's just another texture. They now have packets of wasabi that you need to ask for instead of in the toppings. We also get all the dry toppings. We were shocked by the increase in price, but the taste has been consistent and we're never been disappointed by the taste. We've seen some reviews where they say the rice is burnt. I've never seen burnt pieces of rice - whether it's white of or brown rice- and we go a couple times a week. And if you're not happy with the portion and order in line- speak up so you get what you pay for. It's as easy as that. I do see a difference when we order online vs. standing in line. Our orders are not always consistent in what we ordered and the portions are smaller. Managers: please keep your workers present and consistent on online and in person orders. Also not sure how early you make the orders when they come online. If possible they should be somewhat fresh. We have ordered online and the rice was already cold. I understand you cannot predict your customer flow. Just not certain if there is a time where you make orders too early. How do we deal with errors like this? We've also used the bathroom. It's been for the most part clean. Just check regularly please. Otherwise, we will continue coming to your place. The poké place across the street closed down so management: please make sure you take advantage of keeping poké customers happy and impress your new customers so you will stay in business. At last!!!!! This spot has finally opened in Eastlake after months of anticipation! For those of you who haven't been introduced to Poke One N Half yet, this is probably one of the more prominent and fan favorite poke joints in SD. I'm super stoked more poke places are opening up in this area but I can already tell more people are especially excited about this spot due to its familiarity. Came in twice already in the last two days since opening. It hasn't been crazy packed just yet (probably when more people find out). There is a lot of room, plenty of seats. Bathroom too. There is a lot of energy from their grand opening and service is pretty quick and easy like other locations. Main differences from PokeBay across the street: - All toppings are free. Like I mentioned before, I like getting my poke fix here, so I came back yesterday after seeing that they had a better protocol implemented to prevent the spread of the virus: keeping the verbal orders, promoting social distancing, instructing customers to stay a certain feet away from the counter, having employees change gloves after each customer, and having the restroom operational to allow customers to wash their hands. I've been here 3-4x already and it's probably the best poke bowl place. The ingredients are fresh and they don't skimp out on the servings. They provide. I also appreciate that the krab meat isn't an extra charge (unlike blue poke). The employees are very nice, attentive, and fast at their job which is a plus. read more

We're business owners in east lake and I feel like whoever runs or owns this business deserves to know how bad their staffs customer service is. This is how COVID spreads: lack of knowledge. Incident date: 3/20/2020 Time:2007hr I was told by a male employee to write down my order. I stated "No, I'm not touching that [pens and paper]." Employee looks at me and shrugs... To my disbelief that meant to me that they do not take verbal orders. THIS IS HOW THE VIRUS SPREADS. You have all these people writing their orders. All of their hands are contaminated (maybe not with the Corona virus, but some other diseases or even fecal matter). STOP TAKING WRITTEN ORDERS and maintain 6 feet-away verbal orders... The COVID virus spreads through droplets and can stay on surfaces for a long period of time. I called Nick the manager and he gave me the number to corporate upon my request. He acted professional enough through the phone, but it is common sense to not follow this order from corporate. Things that need to be addressed 1. Bathroom was closed. Second time I've ever had Poki One N Half and this spot does not disappoint! I received great customer service from Cindy, who was very helpful and funny! She made my experience not only enjoyable but very informative since I wasn't too familiar with the menu! I ordered a large bowl and they are NOT stingy with the portions!!! You get at least two scoops MAX for the add-ons such as imitation crab AND you still have your five scoops of protein!! I would also recommend getting the hot poki sauce for a kick that isn't too spicy and adding spicy mayo sauce!! The place is not that much better when u go in person but when I order online they never get my order right and it is frustrating when you do order online to save time and instead it cost time to go back and correct. I always ask for sauce in the bowl and it's never done they're always in a rush they never read the comments. They not only raised the price by more than 50%, the portion has gotten really unbearable and quite honestly upsetting. It was total $35 for two people but the sushi and octopus smelled really foul. This was my go-to place because it's on Doordash for me and poke is relatively healthy. Every time I would order online, I noticed they skimp out on the portioning of each topping and the bowl is smaller than what it usually looks like when I go to a Poki One in person, which is fine. That's expected and what I get for ordering delivery and not going in to the store myself. However, this last time I ordered, I asked for one scoop scallops and two scoops of salmon. And they forgot the salmon. So I opened up my container to the saddest "pokebowl" I've ever seen. How do you serve a poke bowl and forget the poke? I called to double check that they weren't out of salmon and they weren't. I tried explaining my situation over the phone, but their phone service was so terrible I decided to just hang up. I have worked in poke myself and I understand that service work is not the easiest thing. Costumers can be rude and forward and it's not easy. I always try my best to be kind and tip as well as I can. I have come into this place about five times and the food is excellent. They have some really great sauces, I recommend wasabi mayo for sure! My biggest issue was with some customer service I have dealt with a couple times. Most of the workers are super nice and helpful and make the environment extremely welcoming, however I have had a couple days of frustration walking out of the restaurant due to customer service from one worker. The first day I did make a mistake- I forgot that I had added extra sauces to my bowl and thought I was being charged for sampling the sauces. My mistake 100%, however my issue was the way I was spoken to when I had made the comment. The worker's tone was very rude and I brushed it off as it was my mistake, but I came in the next day and I was rung up by the same worker. I had gotten three proteins and was charged for four. I politely corrected her and was told sharply, " I heard four". The worker turned to her coworker to confirm how many proteins I got which was specified to be 3 as I had said. Miscommunication is completely normal, but again it wasn't what was said but how it was said. I felt disrespected and dumb and very unwelcome. To follow up with this, there was no apology or even acknowledgement of the mistake, but just a redirection to the payment screen. Again, I completely understand how customer's can come off as rude sometimes and I do feel bad if I came off as trying to not pay for something that I ordered by mistake that first day. Even when I thought I was being charged for samples, I didn't complain and assumed maybe it was just company policy. Went in January 24th at 2:30 pm. The younger gentlemen helping me out during the first half of my order was nice. The second half of my order the middle age short lady was mean and having a bad day. I had asked for Wasabi and she gave me 1 serving, I asked for more and she informed me usually she has to charge double... I told her I've been here many times and this was never the case. The restaurant was very clean (maybe because it's brand new but I can tell they clean it) and the fish was very yummy.
