I don't really enjoy giving poor reviews, but this is the third time I've tried this place, and the third time I've had a bad experience. Poké is one of my favorite meals, so I've eaten at most of the poke places in the area. This is unfortunately one of my least liked. For some reason, each time, they drowned the poke in sauce. I ordered on postmates, where it allows you to choose the level of marination. I chose medium twice, light once. The added picture is medium marination. As you can see, nearly half the container is filled with sauce. The rice soaked up as much as it could and the flavor of the sauced drowned out all the other flavors of the poke. Once I got about halfway through, I had to stop and throw it out. I also had forgotten not to order avocado. For some reason, they mush up their avocado in a sort of guac mush, but it's not guac. It's just a scoop of mashed avocado. Not very pleasant. All other poke places I've eaten at provide slices. They don't have many options for proteins compared to some other nearby spots, no brown rice, and I'm not sure about the freshness of their spring mix... there was so much sauce, that I couldn't tell if the greens were wilted or just overly wet. Not very tasty. Hopefully, I've just gotten unlucky here, because it seems most people enjoy it here. If not and these are patterns of theirs, please know there are other poke places in the area that provide better experiences. read more

I immediately got food poisoning after finishing my meal. Don't get me wrong, food tasted fine. 30 minutes later I had a pounding headache and ended up needing to throw up. we were in the area so we decided to get poke and absolutely loved it. We love the staff there. They were so sweet and Customer Service was awesome. The only thing that was a little hard was parking. It was in a smaller lot and we would have to wait for an empty spot, but I really like the location. It is right across the street from Cal State Northridge, which is super cool. This place is really awesome and I love the environment. I love this wall that they have that you can take a picture there and it is very clean. The food was very fresh and I love the sauces that they put on top. My favorite is the taco!! so delish!! Love love, love the food and I can't wait to go back again. Finally got to checking this place out-- I was out doing errands and it occurred to me that I needed to eat something for dinner-- and fast. I had the lovely night plans of staying under a blanket and watching more episodes of a show... so I knew I wanted something yummy that I could take home quick! I came in and was immediately greeted by the server. She was the sweetest and I felt her geniune and kind words as she served me what I asked for. I got a large bowl, with all my protein scoops being salmon (I love salmon so much!). I got rice and proceeded customizing my bowl even more from there. She was patient with me and even reassured me when I blindly missed seeing the sauce section (I don't know how). She finished making my bowl quickly and (P.S Yelpers!) I got a 10% discount for checking in to the restaurant before I paid. When I got home, I enjoyed the bowl and couldn't finish it since it was so plentiful. For me, the salmon was nicely flavored but the meat itself didn't taste as flavorful to me as I had tried other poke spots. It was watered down somehow(?), despite me having 3 sauces mixed in. So in general the salmon was alright to me. Three scoops of your choice of fish (2 spicy tuna and 1 albacore) over rice with seaweed salad and a whole bunch of toppings. Jalapeños, crispy onions, sesame seeds, scallions and more. Place is actually nice. I do not want to give them hard time with the critique, but I do eat A LOT of Poké and do know what makes for great ones. They are overall good; service is great; but the food can be improved upon a little. Rice did not taste like sushi grade or quality rice. Tuna was not cut well, which made it feel like it was not good quality or was sitting around for some time. Salmon and sides were good though. My niece and I love pokitomik. This is the third location we have tried. The employees were very friendly and helpful. They made our burritos and bowls very quickly. Everything tasted great. I always love trying the different sauce flavors. They have so many good ones. The only downfall was they didn't have my mango. I Stopped in here to grab a protein-packed and refreshing post-hike lunch, and it did not disappoint. I previously ordered one of their craft-your-own sushi burritos and their craft-your-own wonton tacos with different bases, proteins, marinades, toppings and drizzles to choose from - and I enjoyed them immensely - but this was my first time visiting in-person, and crafting my own poke bowl. Note that parking is a bit limited, as the restaurant is contained in a corner outdoor mini-mall along with a convenience store/liquor store, and tattoo shop, and a good chunk of the parking is earmarked for specific stores, and/or time -limited. But there's plenty of free street parking around. I was the only customer when I arrived, and I grabbed my poke bowl to go. The interior of the store was clean, with a fair-amount of seating, but it also looked like more of a to-go spot. I ordered a bowl with a mixed-greens base, two scoops of sweet salmon, and 1 of tuna, edamame, cucumbers, seaweed salad, and crab meat. I asked for it topped with spicy Mayo, and crispy onions - it came to about $20 with tip. It was quick, easy, healthy, super tasty, and tasted fresh to me, and just what I needed post-hike. A few months ago I decided to try Pokitomik on a whim and since then I have gone back several times. The service is quick and friendly. The food is consistently delicious and fresh. The protein and topping options are pretty typical (tuna, spicy tuna, shrimp, salmon, albacore, and tofu). However, one option that does stand out from other locations around the area is their *sweet salmon. Im not usually a fan of sweet flavored fish so I did ask for a sample first and they were totally fine with it. To my surprise I really liked it! It's actually my go-to protein choice! Highly recommend it! To top it off, this location has different desserts to purchase such as, mini ube pies, cookies, and dippin' dots. I haven't tried any of those but it's definitely on my list to try! Lastly, I really like that they have boardgames available for guests who want to dine in and hang out! Hidden poke gem! My bowl was so good I didn't get a moment to snap a picture. :) I was in the mood for poke and found this place had the best reviews and it looked good. I'm very picky when it comes to raw fish, but I went with my trusty yelp reviewers and gave it a go! I was not disappointed at all. I ordered the signature bowl sizzling sensation with spicy tuna. The bowl was very well portioned with veggies, rice, sauces and spicy tuna. Fish was delicious. When I arrived for my order there was a line of customers waiting to order. For sure that was a good sign. The parking lot is very small. Street parking is available on the smaller street. Inside there are a few tables to eat at.
