Ben and his staff definitely personify the meaning of integrity, compassionate customer service. I found them a year ago when my elderly mother needed help with her a/c Just BEFORE Hurricane Harvey hit Houston. Ben called and came out, needing to order a part they filled her a/c so it would hold until the part arrived. Days after the hurricane hit, he was on site tending to the business when he had plenty of others who needed his service, but he put mom at the top of the list because of her age, and he hadn't completed the job yet. Fast forward when on the same property, one of my units acted up and I called Ben. He diagnosed the problem over the phone and was put within 24 hours and resolved the problem. Found my furnace out of commission on New Year's Eve, Corey came the next day, diagnosed and after much thought decided to change the entire system (furnace, condenser, evaporator coils, even upgraded my dampeners and duct work to make it more efficient. We had an issue with our central AC unit. Just wasn't pushing cold air through. I called Polar Express early morning, and they called back within 20 minutes. We arranged a same day appointment. They arrived right on time. I believe it was Bruce, who quickly noted that the breaker had been tripped. He turned it back on, did a thorough check of the unit, looking for worn wires or other signs of damage. No further problems, so seems we got lucky, and it's functioning again as it should. Called Ben to arrange a visit fix the fair cool air, Bruce gave me a call ahead and even showed up before appt time. He came and identify root cause in minutes due to low gas who has filled in a reasonable price. Then five days later, I've noticed bit less cooler air so thought there is big leak so might be a time to change the coil. Again, called Ben and he was able to arrange visit the other day (Sunday). Bruce showed up on time and conclusion the sensor might had issue at that time as everything else inc the gas were fine. They even didn't charge for service fee. Ben took my call at 7pm on a Saturday night on the Memorial holiday weekend. Got to the house quick and diagnosed our issue with burnt wiring at the capacitor. Got that fixed, put in some additional freon, checked out the rest of the upstairs and downstairs units and we were good to go. Cost about as much as a bar tab. Thanks, Ben! We called Polar Express after getting a recommendation from someone in our neighborhood Facebook group. I called at 4:30 and Cory was here by 6. When the unit was still frozen, Cory came back around 8, just so that he could get it fixed the same day. He was super nice and super knowledgeable and had us up and running at an extremely reasonable price. Finding an honest service provider these days can be a challenge, but Polar Express exceeded it. These guys fixed me up in a jiffy! we were dying in our house with no AC and Ben came right over to the rescue! Changed a part or two in less than 10 mins (in the pouring rain I should add) and we were up and running with AC again. Very happy with the fast service and having AC again yay! Although I had to knock a star down as I felt the service was a bit overpriced for the inexpensive parts replaced and amount of time to service. I left a message on the voicemail and received a call back within 5 minutes or less and scheduled same day service. The service man showed up on time. He quickly found out there was a short in the system due to incorrectly changing out the thermostat a couple of months back (so it could be programmed to save energy). He quickly fixed the bad wiring job we had done, replaced a fuse, and the only charge was the Service Charge for coming out. Happy with the service and will call them again the next time.
