Texas is going through a State of Emergency now with the deep freezes! When I noticed that my lower level furnace was not working and the temperature was 55 degrees in my house (my fireplace was not working either). I knew I had to try & find service. I could not reach the company that I had used in the past, so I read some reviews on heating companies and came across Polar Express. Almost all of the reviews were five stars! Knowing that it would be hard to get any kind of service, I took a chance and contacted Polar Express. Within minutes, I received a text but was told they were overwhelming busy and running out of parts. The gentleman on the phone wanted me to take pictures and walk me through on what to do. I told him I didn't feel comfortable going up in the unfinished attic and that I was home alone. Around 5pm, I received a call that someone would be at my house in about an hour and at 6:30, Bruce showed up! Without asking, Bruce put on booties, went up to the attic and within minutes the heat was back on! When I asked what I owed, Bruce just shook his head and said it was nothing to fix. I told Bruce to please let me give him something for his trouble. He told me it was not any trouble at all, as he was on his way home and lived close by my house! I have never had anyone service my house at any time, especially never under a State of Emergency, who would never invoice or accept money from me! Kudos to Polar Express A/C & Heating! I have NEVER had ever such a great experience with any company like this one! Seriously, the most honest to deal with! Cory the owner, and Bruce who works there, are a Blessing to have a Company in Katy, TX ! During the freeze, when no one was answering their phones, Bruce stopped by to start up my furnace! When I thanked him for stopping by so late, he said, "No big deal, I was on my way home!" I have worked with one company for over 20 years and they would have charged me a lot more money for this type of call!!! I actually had another issue a day later and Bruce stopped by & pointed out that I had not correctly turned the thermostat 'hard enough' to kick on the furnace at no charge???? Bruce just laughed it off and said he was on his way home.... Today, the owner, Cory came out after telling me that he probably could not come out today because he was so busy. Instead, I got a last minute call about 6pm & Cory asked if he could stop by to install the filters & arrived 20 minutes later! Cory was still working but was so awesome to do what he did tonight! Ok, so let's set this record straight. My heater was not working upon turning it on today and if it did it would not automatically turn on again after it reaches the set temp. So a friend recommended Polar Express and according to him, they are good. Bruce called me back and told me that he can come by today between 3-5 pm. He arrived even before I got home and was waiting in his truck. So to cut the story short, after he fixed my heater I asked him how much will I pay and he told me nothing!!!!! And I said why? you did the service so I should pay you? And he told me it doesn't work like that. I was surprised because I had experience with other technicians and I paid a good amount for less than an hour of service!! So folks, If ever you read this please please take my word..Bruce was on time and Polar express is not one of those that are rip-offs! I highly recommend them not because I did not pay anything but for the honesty and good service that Bruce or Polar Express has given me. Hands down BEST A/C repair visit I have ever had! Ben and Tre were great. My A/C went out. Ben and Tre from Polar Express came out just a few hours after I called them. They fixed my issue in about 2 minutes and were not even going to charge me. I know nothing about A/C but they calmly explained everything to me (they really know A/C) and then told me some inexpensive things I could do to help keep it running longer and more efficient and told me why and how. I got them done and now my A/C runs better than it has since the house was new! They were extremely knowledgeable, took great care to not mess up my house, very professional and very inexpensive. I will be using them for all my A/C issues from now on. It is so hard to find a decent A/C repairman that will not try to overcharge you, I wanted to let people know about these guys. I have used Polar Express for several years on all my A/C and Heating issues. My latest experience sums up their service. Call because one of my A/C was not cooling. Ben showed up an hour later. He had other appointments but wanted to take a quick look since they had serviced everything two months earlier. The unit that was not working had an autoshut off when water was too high in the overflow pan. The issue was a different A/C unit was backing up into it as the main drain was clogged. Without Polar Express coming over I would have had a flood in my house that night after I left for work. After an hour of cleaning it out and opening up the drain, everything fixed up... no charge, they would not take any payment. These guys are the best for a reason. Oh my gosh. Love these guys. As a single older woman you feel that you can be taken advantage of. Corey came over same day I called in. My compressor would not come on. Eek. It's going to be sooooo much $$. Not true!!!! Polar express was good as it's reviews. Corey explained each and every step. Apparently at the service shut off the power went in but had loosened and power was not going out. To the compressor. So he tightened (fixed). The explains what could with age go wrong with the unit as a whole and the associated prices to give me a heads up. But zero up sell or pressure. My AC was broken Saturday afternoon. I called couple of AC services and none of them could come out and I had to wait till Monday. I tried Sunday morning around 7:30 am to see if I am lucky enough to find someone who can at least help diagnose the problem. Ben took my call immediately, and I got my problem fixed around noon. He is such a courteous, professional, and honest guy! I am so impressed! The thing that surprised me even more is that It is FREE of charge. Ben said he does not charge for this kind of minor fix if it is caused by lightening. How can this be true in these days that everyone is try to charge more!!! I just cannot believe it. Called on Friday evening at 6:40 and after I told them the problem they diagnosed the problem over the phone as most likely a failed capacitor. They told me the cost and said they would be at my house within 45 minutes. They arrived in 30 minutes, replaced the capacitor in the failed condenser, checked the working condenser unit to see if that capacitor was failing - it was good - and was completed and away within an hour from the time I called them! The service tech was very professional, explained the problem, showed me the testing results of the good and bad capacitors and was on his way. VERY Pleased with this company and service tech! We called 8 ac companies day after hurricane Harvey when our ac system quit working. Polar Express was one of the few who not only called back and let us know that they couldn't come out because of the weather and flooded roads but that they would come out as soon as they could get to us.Cory Ship was the tech. that came out the next day and he was great. He serviced the unit ,got it working and than explain everything so even I could understand it . The best a/c company around. Almost hate to give them a great review because I don't want too many people to know how great they are. Will call them again when we need a/c service. read more

I called Ben in the middle of the night only to return my call 10 minutes after and was ready to come over and look at the AC but we decided to survive the night and he promised to show up at 7:30am. 7:20am he knocked the door, diagnosed and figured out the issue in less than 10 minutes. He changed the unit fan motor for a very reasonable cost and warranty; and AC became like new. He is very honest, professional, and knowledgeable. The previous guy who looked at it tried to rib us off by offering to change the coil for an insane cost when the pressure was later diagnosed perfect by Ben. Highly recommended. read more

It is no surprise to me that this company has nothing short of 5 stars! I called them with a problem and Ben my tech was professional, honest, knowledgeable and most of all helpful. He listened to my issue where as other companies where more interested in knowing my address and if I was the homeowner before hearing what the problem was. Companies that put people before profit are hard to come but when I find them I hold on for dear life. We had at least 8 different AC companies come out to fix and/or replace our AC unit and give an estimate. The range was from $7,000-$10,000. Polar Express was our last option before we resorted to financing a new system. Ben came out within the hour and fixed the problem for a fraction of the price. What a service. My heater was not working, I called them up, they set the appointment for the afternoon. They called me in the afternoon to let me know they will be arriving to the house in 20 minutes. Cory (tech supervisor) showed up, inspected the system noted a problem in the set up. Best AC company ever! I originally called a big AC company and was told all these items that needed to be fixed on my rental property. Absolutely amazing. Had an AC problem after some storms rolled through. Called Polar Express on a Sunday, and Ben came out as soon as he could. He quickly found the problem, which likely would've cost me thousands of dollars to repair if it had been any other AC technician.
