Terrible experience. Sohail came out 3 times to replace a panel on our Blomberg washer, the lights didn't work but we could still use the machine. Then he disappeared for several weeks, no reply to our calls or emails. Then someone called to say he'd be back shortly. A week or so later he called, apologized for his actions, said he was taking care of his brother. when he came out again with the part, he broke the washer door, the part was wrong again, now we couldn't use the machine. I called another local repair service, Austonian, their tech came out once, check the machine, said it needed a replacement panel, 10 days later he installed it and a new door switch to replace the one Sohail broke. Pretty simple, Sohail is incompetent. read more

I received a voicemail from Sohail Anjum on 10/26/23 regarding scheduling a time for someone with Polar Express to come out to diagnose/repair our water/ice machine. The voicemail was promptly returned. To date, I have NEVER heard back from anyone with the company. This is the most UNRELIABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL company I have ever dealt with. I can only speculate that they weren't going to make as much on a repair job because of the warranty we had on the machine. Regardless, the company we purchased the machine from has been made aware of the issue with Polar Express. I think the general public needs to be warned as well. I kind of feel compelled to review that service and let other readers know about the quality of service they provide. Empathy and professional are the two words that come to mind. I called them to check up on my refrigerator, which was not cooling. They agreed to work with my schedule and we're flexible. I had another tech look at my refrigerator and he recommended to replace as repairs would be expensive. This guy comes in, looks at it and start working on it right away. It cost me $100 to fix my refrigerator including parts. Cleaned up behind him, also called back after a couple of days to follow-up to make sure the refrigerator was working fine. We used this company for our LG front loading washer repair. Polar Express was very thorough in checking it out to find out why it was leaking. Because it was a home warranty issue, he said to let him know if there was still a problem the next day and, if so, to contact the home warranty and have them reopen the ticket and he would go out at no additional cost to me. Turned out there was still a problem, so Polar came out again and fixed that. He once again said he'd go out again if further problems. So he is willing to go the full nine yards on a repair, which I appreciate and value in a company. read more

We have Sears Home Warranty. Sears did a terrible job about communicating with Polar Express, so he had no idea what the job was about until he came out (Sears's fault) so he had to make two trips -- one to figure out what the issue was, then talk to Sears about what to do, and then a second trip to attempt to fix the issue. The second time he brought another man with him to help pull the oven out, etc. They were on time and did a good job, and we have our oven back! read more

My washer started leaking lately, and CHW sent Mr Sohail to fix the problem. Because of previous bad experience with a plumber sent by CHW, I was pretty skeptical on this service call. However, Mr Sohail showed me that he is really a professional. Mr Sohail came to my home right on schedule, he thoroughly checked my washer, and identified the root cause of the issue. To repair my washer, he needs to get CHW approval to order some parts. After he got the parts, he came my home earlier than planed to fix my washer. Now, my washer works like a charm. Polar Express diagnosed a problem with the solenoid on our new LG refrigerator. Even after that was replaced, we had very poor water flow from the water dispenser and ice maker. The decision was made to remove the filter, and voila, we have good pressure out of the dispenser. Sohail was a very competent and thorough technician, even though he got very little technical assistance from LG. They kept challenging his statements...have you checked the pressure coming in from the main line (duh!)...that was the first thing he confirmed. I had to replace my electric cooktop to a gas cooktop. I bought it from Sohail. He also installed for me. All for a very reasonable price. Although he didn't have a showroom, he sent me pictures to make sure It matched my expectation before he installed it. When he installed the cooktop, my gas was not turned on. He had to come back to make sure everything is connected correctly after the gas was turned on. I had some hard time to reach him in the beginning. He gave me another number after I complained. This guy came out to my house through SquareTrade to fix my Samsung fridge. He came out twice and was unable to fix the problem. This wouldn't be an issue except that he took pictures of the dents in my fridge (that have been there since purchase as it was bought from Sears Outlet and worked fine for three years) and sent those to squaretrade stating the these dents came from my movers. Now SquareTrade is refusing the claim. Uhm, what? How does this guy know what my movers did or didn't do? What does the fact that I recently moved even have to do with this? I called the repair technician and explained my problem. I was super nice at first and just asked that he please tell squaretrade that he doesn't know where these dents came from. He refused and argued with me. When I told him I purchased this from an Outlet and it should be covered under the warranty if it weren't for his statement, he said "How do I know you bought it from an outlet?" Again, WTF? SquareTrade knows and that is all that matters. How do you know my movers did it? I was there watching them move the fridge and they did nothing. They were licensed and insured, so I assure everyone, if they had damaged my fridge, I wouldn't be messing with these people, I'd be dealing with the moving company. From the sounds Art's review, seems like this guy is in cahoots with SquareTrade to screw people. He probably gets paid by squaretrade to make up anything that will deny someone's warranty claim. read more

American Home Shield sent this company to my house to fix my washing machine. Besides NOT repairing the machine properly, I now have error codes flashing and my machine is unusable. I will need to call in another service request and will need to take another day off from work. DO NOT let your warranty company refer you to this company. My dishwasher was not working, so Frigidaire referred me to Polar Express. PE tried to troubleshoot my problem over the phone and was determined that the drain pump was the issue. He came over with a drain pump, replaced it and my dishwasher still did not drain and became 20x louder than it was before. The technician will now not pick up my phone calls or come back to fix the dishwasher. Bad service, hard to communicate due to language barrier and does not know how to fix a dishwasher. There was also glass broken in my drain. The technician took the glass out and put it down my sink, so now my garbage disposal does not work either. My Liebherr warranty rep referred me to this company. Icemaker still under warranty was broken, he came out and agreed with me that it was broken but had to follow the troubleshooting instructions from the Liebherr rep over the telephone. The Liebherr rep instructed him to "try" a few things, which did take an extra two visits but I cannot fault the repairman for that. When the recommendations from the Liebherr folks did not fix the issue, a part was ordered, took another week, and then he came and replaced the part. The icemaker works now ! SquareTrade assigned Polar Express to service our Samsung refrigerator, but right from the very first contact I had my doubts about whether Polar Express was qualified and equipped to handle the job. I called in the middle of a Wednesday and was greeted by Sohail, who seemed to know about our job without even looking up my address or phone number. He just said, "Oh, is this about the Samsung refrigerator?" They must be a very small company with not a lot of work if he knew exactly who I was just by me saying I was calling about a refrigerator repair. He said he would send Joe to work on our fridge, or if Joe wasn't available he would come himself. "OK," I thought. "Small can be good. You know, personal attention and whatnot..." I was given a repair window of 10AM to Noon the following day (today), and it is now nearly 2 PM and we have heard nothing from Polar Express. I have called twice (12:30 and 1:30) to ask for an updated arrival time, but they don't answer the phone and do not call back. We have perishable food waiting in coolers because Sohail said to unplug the fridge in the morning in anticipation of the repair. I will update this review IF/when someone shows up and actually works on our fridge. At this point, I have very little faith in Polar Express and will be reporting this experience to SquareTrade immediately. read more

He can also tell you on the phone, based on your description of the problem, if the machine is worth the price of a repair. He was on time, carefully looked at the machine, fixed it and the tested it before he left. His fess are EXCELLENT and his service is EXCELLENT. I recommend Polar Service Express absolutely!
