I dislike trying new things, especially when they cost more than a cup of coffee. I decided to stop in and get my nails done between classes. The lady working with me was kind although very quiet and difficult to hear, she worked fast... a little too fast. there was little time to look at my nails and make my points. I noticed during that a few of my nails weren't filed down enough and are bulky, during painting (I got French tips) there were bits trapped in the polish, her brush fibers got stuck under and she ignored me when I pointed it out. So after finishing I feel mildly upset because why on earth should I pay $50+ for something I'm unsatisfied with? the end result is bulky, uneven nails with hair and dust trapped under the top coat. Obviously I paid but I will NOT be coming back. The feeling of wasting my dime on something I cannot enjoy is something I try to avoid. needless to say I regret trying something new and giving this small salon a chance. read more

I got a gel manicure. Friendly environment. Decent price. Eh manicure The light blue is uneven in some places and he cut my cuticle (I'm fairly numb to pain so I didn't know til latter). It wasn't as relaxing as I hoped, but I mostly just needed the paint job so I don't really care I will go back though, I go to PCC right across the street so it's nice in between classes. read more

Very friendly staff, they were super welcoming as soon as I walked in. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars was the quality of the acrylic nail work. The man who did my nails went a little rough when buffing the cuticles with the small drill like machine, it left a small cut on my left ring finger. The acrylic turned out very thick and uneven in some areas, and although he was open to listening to my suggestions when I asked him to fix some things the nails could've turned out better. the nail polish was very messy ended up with some bubbles too. I would go back if the quality of the work was improved. read more

While waiting, I noticed one of the ladies giving a pedicure take her tools over to the sink. She rinsed the used pumice stone and then brushed it with another used scrub brush; no soap, no cleaning product at all, just water. She then proceeded to rinse her other tools and then asked me to have a seat so she could start my pedicure with those same tools. I was so disgusted that I left. That is disturbing, I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I have gone here twice to get a mani/ pedi and was pleased both times! They listened well to my request for my nails to be kept on the longer side as well as the shaping I like! Cute little nail salon right next to my favorite coffee shop, Coffeehouse Five. I needed a pedicure STAT and they fit me in less than an hour before they closed at 7. $22 Including the kit. Did a great job of exfoliating my embarrassing gardener's feet, and even though this was a basic job, I got a massage, and a lovely hot towel for my legs. Heavenly. Nice friendly folks. My only suggestion would be to offer some water, but I may not have gotten that because of the hour. read more

I've had pedicures in Los Angeles, New York City, and many cities in between and this place has done such an amazing job they can totally roll with the big city players! They shop is clean, the employees are kind and don't up sell, and their prices beat the competition by about 25%. Mani is $12, pedi is $20, mani/pedi combo is $30. You can't beat those prices in Portland. One con is that they don't have a selection of higher quality polishes (no Essie or OPI here, but you will find a couple Orlys), so maybe bring in your own color. Other than that, I will continue to come here when I'm on the east side. read more

My family has been coming here for years and I just recently got my nails done. I only had my nails done for 1 week and they all started popping off. My mom usually goes to them a lot but her nails started popping off and she's only had then for like 2 weeks. My friend and I got our nails done together and both of our nails are crooked. The worst manicure/pedicure I've ever had. For starters, I've never had a mani/pedi done in 30 min by one person. The woman rushed through the service so quick. I had to ask her was she going to cut my cuticles because she wasn't going to do them. The. I had to ask her to do them again because she wasn't cutting anything. Then she painted my nails so fast I had nail polish all on my skin. When she tried to clean them up using nail polish remover and a brush, I had to ask her to do it again as nail polish was still very visible on my skin. And this wasn't just the pedicure, this went for the manicure as well. I didn't want to make a fuss because it was my moms birthday. And I tried to make this a pleasant thing for her because she does get her nails done often. But y'all I looked at my moms nails and told her to go back in to have them fix hers. He cuticles were not done and her polished looked a mess. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Don't waste your money. read more

Came in for a fill, and loved the social vibe, but I have reservations about the cleanliness. Also, in a few places the drill went too deep and cut into the nail bed, and those fingers were still sore hours later. Went got my pedicure done at elegant Nails last Friday August 26th. You know it feel good when you get a pedicure they lotion your legs to rub your legs a little. The young lady took my ankle bracelet off and pocket it. Angie's sister or sister-in-law so ladies watch her she steals. This place is great. Pedicures are only $20. The place is clean, the massage chairs are comfy and in good working order. Staff spends a considerable amount of time on pedicures for such an inexpensive price. I have never had to wait here, though it would be worth it if I had to do so. Hao does an amazing job. He massaged my calves for a very long time and then wrapped them in a hot towel. WOW. My toes always look great afterward and the polish lasts longer than when I have visited elsewhere. I originally went here because it was a convienent location. Now I choose to go here because it is better than places that charge twice as much.They are closed on Sundays, but open from 10 AM to 7PM the rest of the week. read more

Would give less if i could! I have heard they were great and i recently moved in the neighborhood. I took my mom there and we had a horrible experience. For my mom the lady quickly did hers, moved on to other people and refused to add a fucking heart to her nails. Trying to treat my mom to something nice and they made it horrific. As for me!! The guy there did a shitty job. He rushed through it, the two that he fixed were lumpy,uneven and hella thick. Then the color was uneven andyou could see bumps in it from the nail dust on the table which he clearly didnt dust off. On top of that when i tried to complain they acted like they didnt have time for it. So i made a scene, put a big 0 on the tip line and went to my usual spot to have them fixed. I recently went to this nail shop for a gel manicure and wasn't happy with the awful french manicure that was done. I told the younger lady that was doing the service that I did not like it and she basically told me too bad but for Another $20 she would fix it but she lied and said she had another customer (who was actually there to see someone else). Just a bad experience and won't be going back. There are way too many better salons that do way better work and are much cleaner. read more

We were visiting town for a wedding and picked this nail salon based on reviews. A few days prior to coming in we called to ask if they could accommodate a large group (seven) for a mix of manicures and pedicures. We were assured that it would not be a problem. We arrive and they were not able to provide good customer service. We seemed to overwhelm the three people working there and they were finishing up on other customers and so our appointment times started late. They were not consistent in what was provided. Three of us had pedicures and were all charged the same amount but did not receive the same services. Two received sugar scrubs and one receive a hot towel service and one received neither and it seemed these pedicures were rushed as others were waiting for manicures. Three of us had pedicures and manicures combined and although the sign indicated a combined price each service was charged separately. Its only been five days and my nails have chipped and you can see them start to peel along the side. They don't do well under pressure and I also believe other clients walking in requesting services added to the rushed job we all received. They wanted to accommodate everyone but it showed in poor service and quality of work done. I also felt when it was time to pay they may have used language as a barrier when I tried to go over the cost of my bill. I paid for myself the bride and one other gal. It was way more than I had even estimated or allowed for nearly $200.00 I felt taken advantage of. I know this was a one time experience and we won't be back but it was disappointing to spend so much and feel like it was rushed and poorly done. I have used nail salons in my own area and have received much better service and quality. I wish they had been honest with us regarding accommodating a large group and also shared with walk ins that they were serving other customers and would be awhile rather than implying they had a short wait while they rushed us and performed poor work. read more
