I have been coming to polished for 2-3 years. The team does a fantastic job and the salon is always clean. They always ask if you would like a beverage during your service. Steven is a fantastic nail tech, and my dip on my fingers is always high quality and lasts. I see him about every three weeks for my nails and he always has consistent results. BEWARE! Please save your money and go to another nail salon. A basic pedicure is $35 and she washed my feet my feet with hand soap, slapped lotion on my legs and painted my toes. It's an aestheticly cute establishment. There are plenty of comfortable massage chairs and a great color selection in regular and shellac. However, that's it. You'll get a bassic polish. Mine chipped within 24 hrs. I had to come back. They did fix it for free. I was a bit annoyed with the final shape and cuticle cut, but my nails grow fast, and I have long nail beds, so polish looks great on them. Walked in on a Saturday morning for a gel manicure. Staff was super friendly and my nails are nothing special. They are short and not much work required. My cuticles weren't pushed back and or my nails buffed. It was very quick and some steps were missed. On Tuesday my nails started chipping. First of all- all of the reviews from the last week or so on the google page are FAKE the images are google stock photos and the profiles that posted are not even real people??? It's really sad that a business has to post countless fake 5 star reviews to hide their actual rating. Secondly- I have never had such a poorly done dip set like I did at this salon. They were thick and uneven and the nail technician put glitter on two of my nails when I repeatedly said no thank you.... I actually used to really love this place but the past few times everything has been rushed and just bad quality. My pedicure lasted 5 minutes she didn't even cut my toe nails. I had to go back twice in a week to get my nails fixed because they kept chipping. I had horrible service today because of the attitude of the man who did my nails. I showed him a photo in the beginning of what I wanted which was French with black tips instead with minimal designs. When he started doing one design I noticed that my nails were clear and you could see my nail beds and tips of my nails. I politely asked if he could add a light pink coat underneath (like you would normally have with French nails they aren't supposed to be see through). He immediately rolled his eyes and said that they didn't have a pink that wouldn't be clear. I paid $75 for a clear coat of nails with what looked like a sharpie design. I'm so sad I spent money to have my nails done here. After my nail tech did my nails (which I liked) she did my toes and left too much paint on my big toe it literally was dripping off. She "fixed it by wiping it off and redid it. I wore sandals coming in and later that night the paint lifted up as if it was never painted. It's not even smudged. It just came off . I've been going to Polished for six years and it's my favorite nail salon in Charlotte. The remodel at south blvd location is amazing. Such great lighting and plenty of seating inside. I'm always greeted when I enter and given a drink and can watch the many TVs while getting my nails done. The OPI colors they have are really good and last me 3 weeks. I love the deluxe pedicure with paraffin wax and the new chairs are so comfortable. The staff at polished is always kind, attentive, and hard working. I'll keep coming back here. read more

I have gone to Polished several times and have had a decent experience. Kong typically does my nails and has done a good job. However, Louis did my SNS dip manicure a few days ago & they were extremely thick, not what I asked for, had bubbles all over them, & covered my cuticles. The first two photos were taken immediately after getting them done & the third photo was taken 4 days after when they were peeling off. The 4th photo is what I asked for. Overall, not a consistent experience and is pretty rushed each time. read more

A complete letdown! This place just goes to show that everything that glitters isn't gold. A friend and I wanted to go here after passing by on our way to Owen's Bagels (which is amazing). Firstly, this place is more expensive than most other nail places in Charlotte, but I was okay with that because it looked so pretty inside. We started by picking a color from their floating display and most of the polishes there looked old and had separated from sitting so long. We didn't wait long for pedicure chairs, but that's where the problems started; I noticed my pedicure tub looked dirty at the bottom like it had some leftover lotion and residue from the last time it was used. The next issue is that the jet function as well as the lights didn't work on my tub, but I was ok because the water was a good temperature. We received our mimosas and I went to put it in the tray on my chair and noticed just how disgusting that portion was as well (spills, stains, and even some leftover hair). I was ready to leave then, but my friend wanted to finish her drink. Our nail techs sat down and started doing their thing, but about 5 minutes into the massage the nail tech was done with the pedicure and was ready to paint my nails.. mind you she didn't clip my nails or even asked if I wanted them clipped, nor scrubbed my heels. I asked her to do both and she seemed to get agitated. My nails were cut jagged and uneven and she didn't want to use the proper tools to scrub my heels so I ended the pedicure and paid the full $25 before she painted because I don't want to risk it being a complete disaster. I don't feel I should've paid the $25 but I didn't want to argue with anyone. I ended up going to another nail salon, getting my pedicure completely redone and a manicure, and there they told me they are friends with some Polished employees and that they are on a 15 minute time limit with each customer. I am a huge fan of Polished and will continue to recommend this location in particular to friends and family that are looking to get their nails done. Other reviews are accurate in saying that it is possible to feel like you are just getting in and getting out and if you do not engage with your nail technician you may not end up exchanging many words with them at all. However, I love walking in and knowing that if there is a wait time they have the staff and facilities to get you seated and taken care of much more quickly than I usually expect at a nail place. I personally appreciate being seated at a station and served a beverage even if a technician is not immediately available. There is always a buzzy atmosphere that is fun to just take in (Saturdays in particular have music playing, champagne popping, and the happy chattering of clients). When I have gone with friends or my mom we are always seated next to each other without any awkward shuffling - it just happens, which is so thoughtful. I have also seen patrons that were able to lounge after their treatment was over at their station without being hustled out which I appreciate. This is one of the best, most long-lasting, consistent gel manicures I have gotten and this is truly the number one reason why I love Polished. Every time I have walked in for a gel manicure I have walked out knowing that my nails look awesome and I have going to have to go in weeks later to get them removed because my nails have grown out too much, not because the gel is lifting or chipped. You seriously have to try to begin to chip away your manicure at the 2.5-3 week mark. Staff at Polished have always been friendly and helpful. My friend and I recently walked in 30 minutes before closing on a weeknight and we were told that even though there was a line they would make sure to provide the treatments that we had come for, regardless of the end time. Even at the end of my friend's mani-pedi, when she was questioning her color choice (and well after closing at this point), the technician offered to add more coats of a different color! Came here the other day with my friend during the week. We made an appointment and were seated right away. It looked like they updated the place since my last visit and it was really clean. I even told the lady who did my nails that it looked nice. They also had all of their colors organized this time. Last time I came in all of the gel polishes were in a giant bin.
