Claudia was wonderful, she got me in at the last minute when I needed to fix my gel toe nail polish. She was the only one who would take me in at the last minute after calling several places. It took 17 mins to get here, but it was worth it. She wasn't even going to charge me to fix the polish, but I needed to pay her time because she was lovely and provided the best service. I love Sweet Sunshine Nails! I found the shop in 2018 on Google because they were so close to where I lived. I have been getting gel manicures since then and now I live 2 hours away and still make the 4-hour drive to get my nails done. I've tried several other places closer to me, in a pinch, and no one compares. Just yesterday, I brought my 11-year-old step-daughter to get a gel manicure at the same time as mine, She is so happy with the fun colors, designs and details Claudia added to her nails. Would 10/10 visit again! Came in from San Diego with my daughter to celebrate my niece's Ph.d graduation, joining me in Phoenix was my sister who lives in NE Arizona. We ended our girls day with a visit to Sweet Sunshine. I knew they were a small shop with only two staff members but I was impressed by the reviews and images I saw online, it was the only salon in the entire Phoenix area that I felt would live up to my expectations and fill our needs. I was prepared for sitting around waiting as I expected they'd each do one person then the other. I was happily surprised they each took 2 of us and rotated thru, doing part of the process on one, then the other while the first was drying. It kept us actively engaged and we welcomed them to join in on our conversations. They made sure we had the best time, we all laughed together. And yes, we all loved our mani pedis. The price was exactly what I expected based on the services I get at home. Claudia and Kammy (hope I'm getting that right) were both awesome and we had a fun time. Have been coming here for several years and don't plan to ever leave! This is a small salon - just Claudia and Tammy - so the service is always super personal. They are both efficient and friendly, the place is clean and safe, and my nails always look great! One of my co-workers goes to another salon and gets the same treatment (acrylic and gel) and her nails always start chipping within a week, while mine stay perfect, even for up to three weeks (I know, but my schedule doesn't always allow me to get in as soon as I should). There is no SUNSHINE in this salon. They owe me Stars for controlling myself-Worst Possible Experience you could have at a nail salon - bar NONE! Went there the day before to check the place out. Claudia looked at my nails and gave me a price of $5 above the going rate for dip powder. Since I was moving from a salon I had frequented for over 20 years (they moved) and was anxious to get started I agreed to the $45 price and made an appointment for the next day with Tammy. The next day after my dip power manicure was complete and I was taking out my money to pay, Tammy came over to me and has the gall to tell me she is charging $50 not the agreed $45. I naturally was surprised at this unprofessional, dishonest, bait and switch demand and refused to pay anything more than the agreed upon price plus of course the 20% tip I always give for service rendered. With a sneer and a very nasty facial contortion Tammy informs me "I won't do your nails for less than $50 ...if Claudia wants let her do it"....this all in front of everyone in the salon. What should be an enjoyable relaxing time turned into a horror show conceived and perpetuated by two cohorts who I believe intended to lure me in and up the price from the very beginning. These two are snake salesmen...you would be wise to pass by this shop and go elsewhere...anyplace else would be better than this. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE SCAM ARTISTS! read more
