When I spotted Pollo Campero while visiting my mom, I had to stop my family loves this place, and this location did not disappoint! The plantains and yucca fries were so yummy, and the fried chicken was incredibly flavorful and delicious. We ordered through the drive‑thru, and although they forgot our dessert at first, they were quick and friendly when we went back to pick it up. Great customer service overall. This spot is officially on my list of must‑haves whenever I'm in LA. So good!

This location is being developed and will go live end of August. All new, shiny, fresh, snazzy appliances and equipment!

So glad to have Pollo Campero in the neighborhood! Wife and I stopped by and picked up the 8 piece family meal. We did half fried, half grilled. It came with 2 sides, so we did beans and rice. This was about $35. We also added 3 empanadas for an extra $3! So worth it! They were bigger than we expected and the filling was soooo good! Everything was perfectly seasoned and the flavor was bomb!

    THANKS FOR AMAZING SERVICE

This is too expensive for a 2pc thigh and leg with fries and no drink that is crazy. The pieces were small as well for almost 12 dollars u can get a full meal at chick-fila. Will not be coming here also their 12pc was $72 nuts.

Really good 치킨! The…read moreserver we had (I think it was the owner) was really attentive. This was my 3rd time there and the food and service always stood out. We always get the Bulgogi Fries (Fries with Cheese, Spicy Mayo, Jalapenos, a creamy salsa, onions, and LOTS of sweet bulgogi), and the Honey Garlic Wings. Also definitely recommend the original marinade or even plain (anything but boring). Seating is plentiful. Lunchtime is never too busy, which really surprised me. I love that they give us gloves. Alcohol is served too, so I think I'm gonna have to come back for a 회식 with my workplace.

I've eaten from there before. It's well cooked, juicy, with a good crunch, and light flavor. If you're gluten-free, like myself, you can only have two different sauces, and of course you have to pay for those separate. Not a fault, just an observation. Having any Sauce at all, is awesome... My complaint and withholding of a star is that The Only individual sized portions you can get is a chicken sandwich (I'm one of those dreaded * duh..duh..dunnnnn,* "Gluten-Free" peeps. After that the next size is half a chicken (to much for me to eat in a sitting.) and it Doesn't come with any sauces or sides. I'm not saying that's it's a bad price, for the amount and quality... It's absolutely fair. But an individual option, be it wings, tenders, something easy like that. Something comparable to the chicken sandwich, would be really appreciated. That's Star worthy to me. To add insult to a sour moment, I had to pay for parking... for only 3 to 4 minutes. While not truly a fault of the restaurant, it is a part of the experience, and should be noted. Lest others find themselves in a similar situation. And a final note. The manager was never anything but courteous and professional. He put up with my braty hangry behavior like a champ.

This place has certainly changed since I last visited. Here's the general flow of things:…read more 1) Wait to be seated by the owner (may take some time if he is busy cooking, you'll have to wait for him as he doesn't have any other staff) 2) Once he points you to a table, have a seat (if there are leftover dirty dishes from the previous party that haven't been cleared, that's normal; hopefully he comes to move them out of the way quickly for you and gives the table a wipe-down) 3) Speak your order clearly (don't expect the owner to give you much acknowledgement once he has your order, he might just nod and walk away). If you want a soda, it's self-service. The vibe of the restaurant is just OK; you have a lot of people looking around (either at their tables or at the door for take-out) either wondering what to do or where the owner is so they can be helped. Lot of TVs on with kpop MVs or sports playing (but no volume); nothing special there. 4) Chicken should only take about 20-30 min, he'll bring it out soon enough and it'll be hot from the kitchen. The fruit is a little...different, but kind of works with the dish and cuts through the grease a bit. Unfortunately, no radish like your usual Korean fried-chicken place would offer. 5) After you've finished eating, wait for him to come over and assist you with the check (again, you'll have to wait till he's done with other tasks so he can help you in-between his workload) The chicken used to be worth the wait, and the owner used to have a little more courtesy for his customers. After my most recent visit, I can no longer say so. The chicken comes out faster but is no longer as crispy, and the sauce isn't doing it any favors anymore. And the owner's attitude made our whole visit unenjoyable; gave off the feeling like he felt he was doing us a favor by letting us eat there, and seemed annoyed at any questions we asked (and then was very unavailable most of the time). I understand he does this alone, and he has more tables now than when I last was here (4-6 now instead of 2). But if you can't handle the work load alone then downsize or get some part-time help, or at least be a little more humble with your attitude. I was originally very excited to recommend this place to my friends and took them here to eat, but by the end I was a little embarrassed at the service we received. Don't get me wrong, we're not strangers to the usual "Asian service" where you kind of get the first-gen treatment and don't expect please/thank yous with your meals...but this was really something else, and the quality of the meal couldn't even make up for it anyway. Sorry to say it was unacceptable to us; as visitors from out-of-town we used to look forward to making this one of our stops, but we won't be returning. A good meal/service can make someone's day, and the same could be said for the opposite. Good luck to anyone who might catch him on maybe a better day.

I stuck with getting the mild sando, and didn't expect the chicken breast so gigantic! It was a delicious sandwich and the spice was pretty good. I'm glad I didn't go any spicier than that. I ordered the fries which were actually pretty good. They were definitely seasoned, but they weren't heavily in taste sense. There are a lot of different options on the menu, which was a bit overwhelming for my first time, but we decided on getting a half order of their classic boneless chicken in the signature Pelicana sauce, which was a delicious choice. The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy, and the sauce was a great blend of heat, sweetness, and garlic. Everything was ordered on a tablet that is at each table, and there was one staff member assisting the whole restaurant when I visited on a Sunday afternoon; she was kind, helpful, and provided great service. I also ordered the Peli Shaken Fries which had a nice sweet and savory flavor that complemented the chicken well. The Kimchi Fried Rice was warm, cheesy, but ultimately a little salty for my taste. Overall, the space has a modern and cozy feel, and I can see this being a good spot to grab some drinks and food with friends.

I ordered the quarter chicken with rice and salad, and I was really impressed with the portion sizes. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and gave me the kind of authentic Latin food vibes that I love. The sauce was definitely the highlight for me--it was so good that I found myself adding it to every bite. The prices are also fantastic. For the quality and quantity of food you get, this place is truly a gem. That said, there were a couple of downsides. The restaurant itself is very small, with limited seating available. The customer service also wasn't the best during my visit. Since the dining area was completely full when we arrived, we decided to place our order to go. While we were waiting for our food, a table opened up, so we asked if we could sit down and eat there instead. We were told that because we had ordered our food to go, we were not allowed to sit in the restaurant. I found that a bit disappointing, especially since we had already paid for the same food as everyone else dining in. Overall, the food was excellent and definitely the reason I would come back. If I'm in the area and craving their chicken, I'd absolutely return--just with different expectations regarding the seating situation and service.

The space is sleek and minimal -- dark wood paneling, marble counters, brass accents and just a handful of seats. It feels elevated without being pretentious, and the staff were friendly and genuinely welcoming from the moment we walked in, which on Melrose is not always a given. We ordered the Cod Fish Sando and it delivered in every way. The fish was perfectly crispy and flaky with zero fishy aftertaste -- the kind of fish sandwich that converts people who think they don't like fish sandwiches. The house sauce was mild but packed with flavor, herby and creamy and generously applied. We went mild on the heat and it was approachable and delicious, but the menu runs all the way up to extreme if you're feeling brave. At $20 the Cod Fish Sando is on the pricier side, and the fact that it comes without a side is a bit of a letdown at that price point. The sandwich itself is a nice size and the quality is there, but tossing in fries or at least giving you the option would go a long way. Fries are available but at $4 extra, you're pushing $25 for a fish sandwich and a side -- something to keep in mind. One more heads up -- parking is brutal. Street parking only on Melrose, so build in extra time to find a spot. Worth the hassle, but go in knowing that. Daybird is a standout spot with genuinely great food. Get the fish sando, add the fries, and enjoy the vibe. Just don't expect a bargain.
