This is a very yummy resturant. I always use to drive past it because I didn't know what is was or if it would be good, but I'm glad I did. The fried chicken has so much flavor as well as the grilled chicken but those are not the only things on the menu worth trying...the yuka fries and house sauce are delicious. They use to have a green and red sauce at the "fixins bar". No more sauces. Very disappointed. #3. Ordered and paid for Flan (dessert). Communication was difficult since they didn't speak English; it took them 10 minutes to get my grilled chicken. The horchata which I had high hopes for was very bland and too watery. The fried chicken was good but I'm a fried chicken snob so I can't say it was up to my standards. The black beans were seasoned nicely. Now about the cake.... Gag gag and gag.. It had several globs of artificial caramel on it that over powered the cake. The leche was thick instead of milky. I didn't like this cake at all but the chicken made up for it. Love it. I don't know how they pack that much flavor into a bite of chicken. You get two pieces of chicken, a side (I recommend the Campero beans), a roll or tortillas, and a drink for just over $5. They also have family packs and tacos. You also get free chips if you ask for them and they have a salsa bar with a few different choices of self serve salsa. It takes a little while to get the food sometimes because of the crowd, but it is worth the wait.
