They use to be awesome but lately they've been slacking! I got a No. 8 Carne Asada, and when I got home, flipped open the box, there was hardly any carne asada in the tacos. The last few times I've been, it's been this way. Which I should have known not to go back but they are good. They charge an arm and a leg for tacos with no meat and a pinch of onion and cilantro. It felt like I was eating only corn tortillas. Time to find a new location.. Very disappointing. read more

The only reason why they get 3 stars is because the rice was the best rice I've had from them ever and the manager offered to rectify my issue. I have loved this place ever since I was introduced to them years ago. Their chicken has a distinct flavor "usually". Well, this last visit I was beyond disappointed. I got the special for 1 (army) and it came with authentic Mexican rice, charro beans, 3,000 corn tortillas, lime wedge and the most kick ass salsa's eva...eva....eva and grilled sweet onions....and I swear a half a chicken is about 3 meals for like $8.00.... If you are gonna eat here you better get chicken because as far as tacos al pastor and fajitas they are BAD the meat is red as if it was horse meat ( believe me I've seen horse meat and it's disgusting ) the service was horrible, the cashier seem bored that we were taking to long to order, everything tasted old, the chips were old, salsas and all the topping bar was dirty. This is a staple for fast fabulous food. I read on someone's review that its healthy....don't know what their version of healthy is but it ain't ANYTHING at pollo regio. The food is super sodium packed, that's one reason its so darn good. So if you are hungry and not trying to get 6 pack abs...go for Regio and share your thoughts. read more

Chicken is AMAZING. We recently moved to Carrollton after having lived in Lakewood where this restaurant was actually around the corner from us... The chicken was extremely dry. It was almost like eating a piece of wood. I think that chicken was cooked earlier and had been in the oven for quite some time. Since i had a take out order, i didn't even know until i got home. The only thing I truly enjoyed was the salsa which would get a five star, the guac is good as well. The flavor of the chicken was good but the overall experience including edibility of the chicken was mediocre. If you live on this side of town try Pollo Tropical or cowboy chicken. That's a half pound monster patty with all the benefits of a good hot smoky grill plus a big slice of ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado and a side of seasoned fries. jesus this place was good...i ordered the half side of grilled rotisserie chicken or whatever it was....man....it came with rice, awesome ass beans, a full white onion and tortillas....i tore up that green sauce at the condiment bar....first i tried eating just the chicken, then i started to wrap the chicken in the tortilla and eat it, then i poured the green sauce in my rice, then i poured my beans in my rice, then i poured the rice bowl concoction in my torilla with my shreadded chicken and ate it that way, and i topped it off with more green sauce....i need help read more

The half chicken is incredible. It's rotisserie (Mexican style). You can make tacos out of the tortillas that they give you and you will always get limes and green salsa to go. They barbacoa tacos are very delicious. Better believe I'll be coming back! read more

This is my favorite type of place. Cheap delicious food. Ambiance be damned! I had dinner here awhile ago and it was extremely satisfying. Their beans are to die for with bacon pieces swimming in the liquid. Yum. Why is the rice so good? It's just rice but it's so tasty. The meat is so tender. I've eaten here before and it's always been really good. It's great for the price...just don't have the grilled chicken salad! I wasn't really hungry so I asked if they sold just 1 piece and a side and they don't. I ordered the salad at $6.50 for a bunch of lettuce, random pieces of celery and carrots...yuk! What little slivers of chicken this salad did have were really dry and hard. The other times I've had the chicken there it's been tasty and juicy, so this was really disappointing :( I'll eat there again, but I'll stick to what I know to be good. read more

I have not had a bad thing here... barbacoa tacos, carne asade burrito, and torta pastor. I'm planning on going back and trying everything on the menu. I even have a few of my co-workers hooked. I does take a minute to get your food, but atleast you know that it's fresh and that it hasn't been sitting under a lamp. They never skip out on the condiments. The only reason that I don't give them 5 stars is because they consitently run out of stuff. My fiance goes here often and states that they are always out of the pastor torta. One of the last times that we went together, it was an hour before close and all they had was whole chickens. That's really dissapointing when you are craving something else. read more
