We've since used the "two can dine for $9.99", buy one get one free, and free appetizer coupons for this place. SIGN UP FOR COUPONS. The chicken and tropichop (basically a burrito bowl) are great but nothing tops the fried yukka. It has to be the fried version, because the "yukka in garlic sauce" was so terrible it was basically inedible. BUT THE FRIED YUKKA IS LIKE LIGHT DELICIOUS POTATO CLOUDS. This place is awesome. When you first walk in, the hostess asks where you would like to sit and gives you a table number, which you present when you order your food. There are so many different options and the food is so good! You can definitely taste that it's fresh. I love the yucca, especially with the cilantro sauce. Yum! Their sweet tea is also really good and not overly sweet or syrupy. After you sit down and your food is delivered, the employees stop by the table and make sure that you are okay. I haven't tried the drive-thru but I'm sure they are pretty efficient as this place is always well staffed. This is a great lunch place. read more

Got the tropichop, chicken quesadilla wrap, mojo roast pork. The portions on the pictures look so much bigger. But everything was delicious. You get to choose from a few different sauces. My favorite was the pineapple rum. There's also a spicy sauce, cilantro ranch and regular BBQ. The service was very fast and the cashiers were friendly. Amazing food, A++ service, a far greater experience than the usual, "No Engleeessssh" attitude of many Pollo Tropicals. Well, those versions of Pollo have the best beans tho :). None the less, we had two people bringing food and taking away plates, I wrote down their names they were so good... Iralies an Manuel. They kept asking how we were doing and if we liked the food. I will typically go just before they close during the week after work to grab a quick bite for me and the wife. Word to the wise, sign up for their emails. I know. I know. These can be annoying sometime but the emails from this business actually provide value and are disseminated VERY frequently. This can have a downside as I had a few nights there that I had to wait for upwards of 20/30 minutes before they told me that they couldn't figure the coupon code out and comped my meals. Get the Yucca bites! Oooooo and the garlic sauce! The amazing, amazing garlic sauce. If I come home without it the wifey goes ham :/ and justifiably so. I expect this - their food is really good, right. So I'm in line for 15 minutes, looking through the glass window at the grill. There are about 8 cooked chickens on the grill, so I make mental note of which one's gonna be mine. Mind you, I'm watching this grill for 15 minutes and no one throws any new chickens on the grill. One minute before I get to the cashier, the manager turns up and starts turning the already cooked chicken frantically. I get to the cashier and she says "It'll be 30 minutes on chicken". Stopped into the drive thru at Pollo Tropical in Estero, FL store # 10158 and purchased a couple of appetizers for my drive home since I have not been to this restaurant in a long time. As I am driving home, I opened the bag to eat, and my food was hard and cold. I couldn't return because traffic was a nightmare, so I decided to call and complain and get my money back, now this was in the beginning of November, and I still have not received a call back from management and every time I call to see what is going on they say they are escalating my issue, but no one has called me, and they probably will never call. it is really sad that a simple issue cannot be handled in a timely manner. Love this place. Use to go to the location by Convoy but saw this new location so decided to stop by. I'll eat at this fast food chicken over KFC and Popeye's anytime. Much healthier option and also taste much better. I love the curry dipping sauce for the chicken and the dice onion's for the rice and beans. They have a lot of other side options but those are the only 2 that I use. Never fails. Every time I come to visit Orlando and come to the pollo tropical on 8708 Vineland it's always long lines,1 person at the register, food takes forever, the tables are a complete mess. You see customers cleaning their own tables, barely see staff walking around to clean them up, the bar with all the condiments very messy. Just not ran correctly. First impression was not so great at this location. As I entered the restaurant, took my daughter to the restroom, it was so dirty and toilet paper is all over the place, the trash was full and seem like no one has time to take them out and clean it. Then the restaurant itself was not clean and paper trash are on the floor, all tables are dirty and no one clean. When I go fill the soda , Ice machine was low on ice. The food need to wait 12 minute to be ready. The chicken is not as delicious as normal, it seem rush and it still need to cook a little longer for its best taste. I understand this location is right by the Premium Outlet mall, it has a lot of tourist customers, for that it still need to keep clean, restroom, tables and restaurant floors. Management need to pay attention to this cleaning issue. Someone must in charge of maintaining the restaurant, tables and restroom clean at all time to meet customers expectations.
