    Meal

Well this meal was ok if you need something to eat. I had the 1/4 chicken meal. The pieces were dark meat, thigh and leg.they changed menu,. There is no ribs just pulled pork. I hope they bring them back. The chicken was moist, rice was a little sticky, beans were ok.

Is it me, or are these quarter dark super small? Look at that size? It's ridiculous.

After trying to decide what to eat last night, we all settled on Pollo since we wanted something healthy easy and fast; little did we know this particular location could've been the star on Hell's Kitchen. As we placed our order, we saw the manager fill up the black beans on the steam table as the line staff told him they were burned; standing behind the counter ordering, we all smelled them and so...now black beans was 86. I ordered a half chicken, dark meat only, and wanted white rice and black beans, but being that the beans were now unavailable, I asked for boiled yuca; I asked the lady why I needed to pay $2.69 for the yuca when all I had was white rice and she said because it was the special that I had...which makes no sense. The worst part of my experience is that the size of the chickens they're using here is super small compared to the ones in Miami. Look at the picture of my leg/thigh...it fits in HALF of the large area in the 3 compartment plate. Trust me...they're somehow scamming all of you in the Orlando are and it's just wrong. This store is also dirty as if no one cares whatsoever; such a shame and I'm sure not what the stockholders are hoping for.

It's always nice to try something out of the ordinary when your on vacation so we saw Pollo Tropical and decided to give it a try! We wanted to do the lazy thing and order from the drive through but there were too many selections so we went in to check things out first hand! The food was hot, fresh and really good but the workers were unfriendly and disconnected! They were almost like human robots there to complete a job and that's it; no smiles, no laughter, no conversation among each other or with the customers, they seemed miserable! If they had a comment box I would have suggested a little music to boost morale and create a friendly atmosphere for customers and employees, a cleaner condiment area and a nice greeting when customers approach the register!

Pretty impressed with the taste of this Churrasco bowl's steak. Good grilled flavor and as tender as a prime rib. Loved the pepper flavor too. Overall this bow was a winner. The fried Yucca was somewhat disappointing though. Not hot (or warm for that matter) and a few were probably past their prime eating time. Very dense and hard to chew actually; but I have found once dipped in their Mustard Curry sauce, heck, I could eat a cardboard box with that on it. The counter help was super friendly and was happy to show me why my chip card would not process. I actually think knowing these credit card fail issues are more of a gender advantage really. (kidding) She has a great, fun attitude all the same. All the tables I could choose from were clean and overall dining area looked decent.

It's suggesting for quicker service use the app, the store was empty

We all wanted chicken and Pollo is the place to go, we entered store was empty at the time, we walked to the register and the cashier said we need to scan the w code to order , I did with no problem, my friends not from this country was not that fortunate the girl at the counter offered no help, I noticed cars going to the drive thru and paying for there order, I said that's not right I asked for the manager Josefina Harrison and she said sorry we need to use the scan that's when my voice became louder, I told her the policy she had in place is crazy , while this is going on a woman came in on her lunch break with no phone so she left, the manager finally took my friends order, she was not happy about taking the order. I will say after this a cashier started taking customers orders, notice the sign they keep pushing in your face and by the way the meal was as always delicious I

Being part of the parking structure doesn't mean that they validate your parking. If you can find street parking, definitely do that instead. I had the churassco med-well. It came with two sides, I had the tostones and salad. It was alright, but I definitely had better. I ordered it to eat it there and they put all the sauces in to-go containers, which was weird. The sauces were in such tiny containers, you definitely would need more. My friend got the mushroom arepa and a side of the sweet plantains that she really enjoyed. Service was good. The girl taking our order was super nice and polite. It was more like one step up from fast/food and self-served. You order at the counter and they give you a number for your table and they bring out the food to the table and you clean up after yourself.

Their service is great and fast, but more importantly their food is mouth watering good. It always leaves me with a craving to come back and a full stomach ready to tackle the rest of my workday. My favorites have consisted of a Cuban sandwich which is full of pork and sauce and toasted nicely. It also does not fall apart when eating which is a plus when you are trying to stay looking presentable. Their pork is amazingly juicy and just falls apart in your mouth and has been worth every stain I have accidentally caused on my dress shirts. The white rice is fluffy and simple and good but their yellow rice is much better with many items. Their chicharron de cerdo is crispy and breaks easy and it's never been hard or chewy. Their ropa vieja is also delicious and I can't help but devour the entire plate. The rice and beans paired real good with this! My favorite sides have been the avocado salad and their macaroni salad! Both very light and balanced well with light citrus flavors in the avocado salad. I'll keep coming back here because the food honestly reminds me of so many great dishes my family use to make at home and after eating at so many places around Orlando I had yet to find a better place to get Spanish food like this!

The ambiance and the warmth of the staff took me back to the Caribbean--it definitely felt like home. Their menu features a Latin-Asian fusion, and I loved every second of it. We started with the Krab Salad. It was incredibly fresh, topped with avocado, and the perfect way to open my appetite for a sushi night. Next were the Pork Fried Gyoza, served with a sticky, glossy sauce that has just the right amount of kick. They were so good, you won't be able to put your chopsticks down. The Escobar Roll combines shrimp tempura and churrasco--the best of both worlds. It's topped with sweet plantains, chimichurri sauce, eel sauce, and spicy mayo. I had my doubts about all those flavors working together, but I have no idea how they perfected that combination--they absolutely did. The Mar y Tierra Roll was recommended by our waiter, and I highly recommend ordering it in tempura. It gives the roll a completely different texture, and it's absolutely amazing. The Pollo Loco Roll is topped with sweet plantains and teriyaki sauce. It's simple, yet packed with flavor. We finished it all off with a crème brûlée. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be enjoying one at a sushi restaurant, but it was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. If you're looking for creative sushi, unique Latin-inspired flavors, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that makes you feel like family, The Escobar Kitchen is definitely worth the visit.

I was visiting Orlando and I have a lot of friends and family here. My niece took us here for lunch with high praises of the place. I was excited since I haven't eaten good Dominican outside of the few dishes I've learned how to make over the years. We arrived and immediately began to order. There were a lot of us so I will only review what I ate. I ordered a small sancocho to start. It was ok, but was seriously devoid of seasoning. From the start you could tell they were playing it safe with the flavors. Trying to appease as many tongues as they could. I hadn't had sancocho in a very long time, so I was seriously disappointed. For my main course I ordered the monfongo with pernil. Where the sancocho lacked flavor the monfongo and pernil over reached. It was crazy salty. Like way too salty. I could only get through a few spoonfuls before I called it quits. I then turned to some of my wife's rice and beans and was right back to flavorless. About the only thing that tasted even was the chicharon de pollo. But even that was lack luster. It's always hard to find a good Dominican food restaurant. I will keep searching but till then I guess I will just continue to hone my skills at cooking it at home. The atmosphere itself was good. Sort of a mid-stage afternoon spot. Nice, clean, nothing too trendy or new. Just an average spot. If you have never had Dominican food this may be the spot for you. Something safe so you aren't over whelmed by flavors. If you grew up on it like me, I feel you will be disappointed.
