I recently visited Pollo Tropical and had a fantastic experience. The Trop Chop bowl was really delicious, with huge servings that left us fully satisfied. A special shoutout to Josh, who was the most amazing employee. He gave us great recommendations and was incredibly friendly throughout our visit. Then after it was truly disgusting and disappointing instead of asking him to leave they chose to apologize and then I witnessed the manager pull the young lady out to apologize to this racist !! We spotted what appeared to be a restaurant within walking distance. The sign outside "Tropical Cuisine" did not prepare us for what awaited inside. The restaurant is located at 9005 E Adamo Dr, Tampa, Florida As we entered and the door closed behind us we were amazed at the size of the restaurant and we found ourselves on a food line that stretched the full length of the restaurant. As we sat sipping a coffee and enjoying a doughnut Federal Express, postal workers, police, contractors, business workers and families with children provided a steady flow of customers to the unending line. We both decided to jump on the food line. The trip through the line presented two problems. With so many culinary choices we were selecting more than we could eat. When we got to the table we both realized we had more food than was possible to consume. The quality and taste of the food explained the unending arrival of customers. However there are some servers that seem to avoid us like the plague once they have dropped off the first round. No drink refills and no food refills. It become a game of trying to flag them down to ask for some more pasta or breadsticks. It's very unfortunate because I do frequent olive garden and always enjoy the food. The interior is nice and clean and a good mix between romantic and a nice place for celebrations.
