Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs ($16.99) hearty and very good
    Joe P.

I am the Duke at Polly's, but I have been remiss in not reviewing the place. After a couple of recent visits I wanted to remedy my oversight. I ordered CFS that comes w/ eggs, hash browns and toast. First of all, the CFS was nicely seasoned and the gravy was creamy. All the other items were good, and I was very full after eating the in-house sourdough bread. Regarding the ambiance, Polly's remodeled recently. The decor is bright, and the space is more open. For lunch, they serve items you might see on Marie Callender's menu. Sirirat, the waitress I had on my last two visits is super friendly. She has a lot of regulars based on her interaction w/ customers. There are 3 Polly's in the area, and I have heard nothing but positive feedback. I personally have had all positive experiences. You can obvi buy pies here, but they also sell cookies and bread. All the bakery items are at the cashier when you exit, making it convenient to pick something up on your way out.

Great pies! It's been a minute since I've been to a Polly's. I've never actually had any of their hot foods, only ever visited for the pies. All made fresh daily and free of preservatives. You'll see signs such as the bananas oxidizing quickly once exposed to air. You can slow it down by covering the exposed parts when you take a slice from the whole pies. The oxidation doesn't really affect the flavor or quality of the pies. I think it's a small trade off to have to deal with versus them using chemicals just to prolong visual appeal. Never an issue for me though since I finish them so quick. I've always been a big fan of their Banberry Pie. Banana cream filling with fresh slices of banana, fresh sliced strawberries on top, a ring of whipped cream all on top of their buttery and flaky crust. The combination is so good together. Slammed the whole pie myself in two days and felt less guilty about that because they offer it in a No Sugar Added option which substitutes sugar for Splenda. I also noticed they occasionally list their unsold or slightly damaged pies at the end of the day on the Too Good To Go app at a steeply discounted price. I was luckily enough to snag up two of them. I got a custard and a pumpkin pie! I was stoked for the pumpkin pie. I didn't even know they made that outside of the fall season and it was delicious!

Polly's Pies is nostalgic! It was sweet going back to somewhere I grew up going with my family and seeing it refreshed inside and out. The servers were friendly and kind! We enjoyed having lots of options, but especially good options for kids. Overall the food tasted OK. Thanks for the memories Polly's!

Stopped by Polly's for the first time. I ordered the Comeback Chicken Sandwich combo, which included fries, a drink, and a cookie (I opted to upgrade my cookie to a slice of pie for an extra $3). The sandwich was 2 out of 5. While the chicken texture was fine, the breading lacked flavor and the bun was average. The fries were ok (3/5). The highlight of the meal was the pie. I tried the fresh strawberry pie (4/5) and the blueberry pie (3.5/5) with ice cream. The strawberries were fresh and I appreciated that the pie wasn't stuffed with cream.

This is my favorite Polly's location! The others are fine, they just have a more 70's old school vibe, while this one is a bit more modern with the simple black and white stripe upholstery to the back of the booth seats. It's also got a little patio to the side that is completely covered. I will definitely be sitting out there next time! This chain has an awesome birthday deal every year when you sign up. Not only do you get a free meal, but you get a free slice of pie too, and there's no purchase necessary. But if you take people, everyone who orders an entree gets a free slice of pie too! And their pies are deeeeeelicious! All of the fruit pies are amazing! And not every diner makes custard pie, but Polly's does! I also have to mention that their burger is phenomenal! Super juicy and super flavorful! Just be careful you don't spill any on your pants like I usually do:P

Cinnamon roll!! Dutch Apple BOTH SO GOOOOOD

Work gave us a gift card for the holidays and decided to check this spot out cause why not. I got their HUGE cinnamon rolls and Dutch apple pie! I am very pleased with on how soft the cinnamon roll was and I also asked for extra icing on the side which was perfect! Most places the icing goes away when heating up and you never have enough icing. But the extra icing on the side to top off after heating it up was soooo good! I also love a Dutch apple pie and no complaints! So good! Definitely be coming back for a meal

Ordered takeout so cannot comment on service or ambience. Got the chicken fried steak! Portion was the bigger side and I think it was good as a first time try-er.

A friend had told us about the tomato soup and the $3/15 deal. We felt like we needed to try it. We felt like it was blow back of a Seinfeld episode going for the early bird special. We were pleasantly surprised , the restaurant was very clean, nicely decorated from Valentines Day and the staff was warm and friendly. We upgraded to the Salmon and it was very good. The tomato soup was excellent and glad to hear it is a recurring menu item. The included pie was Banana cream which was excellent. We will be returning to try other items. What a nice surprise!!

Polly's Pies May special is a double crusted Peach filling pie and we couldn't resist. As long as we were at Polly's we decided to have our lunch. The lovely missus had her sandwich and what she liked was the cup of tomato basil soup. My lunch special chicken sandwich was a good portion which included French fries and a chocolate chip cookie. Ofcourse we got the Peach pie to go as well as a couple orders of the Mother's day Pie Bites. Interesting bite sized apple, boysenberry and cherry filled morsels at $6.99 in a present see-thru top pink box. We had a good lunch and we'll have dessert later at home. We also want to thank Jorge for his attentive friendly service... he was pretty busy tending to many other patrons. By the way, I just had a slice of Polly's Peach pie and it is a thumbs up.

We recently came to Polly's Pies after moving to the area a couple of months ago -- we always passed by it and finally decided to try it. We went on a Sunday around 1 PM. It didn't seem too busy, but service was still a bit slow. Even though it was later in the day, we still ordered breakfast. My fiancé got the chicken pot pie and said he would definitely order it again. I ordered the French toast combo and it was delicious. We were planning to try the pies in-house, but we were too full, so we ended up taking them home instead. I got a slice of banana cream pie and my fiancé got the chocolate cream pie -- both were so good, now we understand why it's called Polly's Pies. We would definitely come back and recommend it. Also, if you sign up for their rewards, they give you a free slice of pie, which is a nice bonus!

So, I ordered the double the clams clam chowder... Big mistake-- Huuuuge! There's hardly any clams and I swear I tasted chicken remnants lol Granted, it's a bit later but c'mon man! At least put some real canned clams in there! Let's see how the rest of the meal goes.

Polly's on Adams Avenue HB has always been my favorite location. I feel at home whenever I get breakfast with my family here. The service is always prompt and kind. The clock somehow feels slower and kinder as soon as you step in. And in a good way. The food comes out quickly but we never feel rushed. The pancakes and skillets here never fails to satisfy our palate. Everything always comes out perfectly no matter when we visit. I know of no other place I like eating my eggs and pancakes in SoCal. Pancakes always tastes fluffy, eggs perfectly cooked and not rubbery. The bacons are crispy and sausages tastes great. I don't even like eating processed meat but I gladly gobble them up if it's from Polly's! I let the cashier know during checkout that we're glad to revisit even if it's a bit of a hike from Aliso. She told me there are customers who come from Long Beach and Los Alamitos saying the same thing. I agree with them and think they too are on to something!! Parking is free here and plenty outside. One can sit indoors or outdoors. Checkout is completed out front and they take Amex. I'm looking forward to revisiting again in the near future.

Met with my gal pals for some breakfast before going next door to the head spa. We were seated right away on a Sunday morning at 10:30am. Had the Rueben Sandwich special they are currently advertising. It was tastey, I asked for more thousand island sauce. The corned beef was a little fatty and tough. The place was empty when we arrived but was busy by noon. Would come back again. Next time some pie!

I wish I had the foresight to have the ice cream in a separate container to avoid the crispy fluffy funnel cake from going soggy quickly. I liked how not too sweet my ice creams were. The funnel cakes were thick and fluffy albeit a bit soggy due to the melting ice cream. I wouldn't mind revisiting again just to enjoy the treats. It is so worth the visit.

By then it's 9pm and I can't turn around to go back to the store. The next morning around 11am I called the store to speak with the manager. I leave my contact info, and I receive a call within 20 minutes from the store manager, Dustin. I explain the situation and how the cake is not presentable anymore for the birthday event I ordered it for. He apologizes and offers a dozen cookies or a refund. Since there's no time for me to drive back to Huntington Beach for a party that is in Pasadena within the next hour, we opt for the refund and Dustin states, "This is my personal number, I'll shoot you a text when that refund goes through." A week later, no refund, no communication, no follow-up. I called Dustin one more time, left a voicemail and one additional text just incase. Over the course of several days, still no response.
