I had Polo's on my list to try because they have Cioppino on the menu. They also have Beef Stroganoff. I love both things and make them at home. However, it's June. Neither appealed today. Both are winter dishes for me. I opted to try the pork belly fries and a side salad. The fries were extra crispy (double fried?) and come topped with cheddar cheese, ranch, and pork belly. The flavors balanced nicely. I just wish they had topped them with some chopped chives or chopped green onion tops. Either added an extra dimension of flavor. The side salad was really fresh and the citrusy salad dressing served with it adds a brightness that makes a good dish even better. I just went with a Sprite to drink, but they had some appealing mocktails on the menu. Maybe next time. Service was friendly and it's strip mall location guarantees good parking. They are a solid 3.5, hopefully trending up

We have eaten at Polo's Corner several times, mostly for dinner but a couple times for breakfast. What keeps us coming back? The dinners are always particularly outstanding, the service is extremely attentive in a very gentle and earnest way you only get from a close-knit family business, and the food is just consistently good. Tonight we went with my father in law who is in town visiting - who asked to come back (he went here with us before), and he got the steak again. I got the wagyu burger (I said yes to bacon!) and my stepdaughter got the smash burger, and we both basically polished them off. Instead of a fries I got a side salad - which wasn't an afterthought either - crisp spring mix lettuce, tomatoes, etc - everything seemed farm fresh. Got a "calamary" for the table and it was outstanding - this was some of the most succulent squid I have had in a long time, the breading was light and delicate, and the aioli was just perfect. We splurged for dessert, why not (pictured a few here). Dad ordered the molten chocolate cake, stepdaughter ordered the limoncello cake, wife ordered the affogato (not my thing, but she loves 'em) and I had the apple tart, and we shared them all. Although it was a close call, I think the limoncello cake was the best, and all of these desserts look like they were prepared by Michelin chefs. Polo's Corner is very unassuming - it's set in a somewhat out of the way spot near the Lucky's on Portola Avenue - easy to miss. It really deserves to be on First Street - this is a heavy hitter! Great job Polo's Corner!

Came here for JC graduation lunch, and had a great meal. Our water and drink glasses were always full. The food was amazing, especially the Waygu smash burger, the roast beef sandwich and black and Bleu salad. Will come back Ooh and the pot stickers were great too

I love this place. Delicious food, quick service, relaxed atmosphere and good drinks! I didn't enjoy it the first time my bf and I came here because my food was overcooked, but it was pretty busy!! However, upon my second visit it's proven to me that this spot is well worth it to dine

This is a good place to meet up with friends for brunch or lunch. The menu caters to a wide range of taste. I really enjoyed the Pear & Prosciutto Salad. Never had it before & was really surprised with the combination of flavors. Service was super friendly. The manager came over to our table & inquired about experience. He also told us that they serve other Spanish dishes like paella & gambas though it is not on the menu. They even cater. I thought that was really friendly & hospitable.

I enjoyed my time at Polo's. I always try the mimosas anywhere I go and I choose the mimosa flight. There are several flavors to choose from. O had grapefruit, passion fruit, and pineapple. All very good and strong enough. My omelet was also good.

04262025 Before checking out the Livermore winery scene, my friends and I came here for brunch. The place was packed for a drizzly Saturday, so I'd recommend making a reservation. The space itself is small, so be prepared... Ideally, I would've preferred not to be seated in the center, as the people next to us were staring while we ate. I wasn't sure if it was because of what we were eating or discussing, but I'd prefer either of those over it being about our race... yup, I went there. That was the only caveat of the day. Service was friendly and prompt. I got the steak and eggs because I rode my bike the night before and was honestly craving meat. The steak was cooked right, and the portion was generous--I ended up finishing it. My girls and I also tried their mimosa. I went with the guava version, but I couldn't really taste much, so next time I'll probably stick with classic OJ. Overall, the quality/portion was great as well as the price! A major plus was the parking lot. Next time, I'll just be sure to request not being seated in the middle... or next to "three Karens," lol. Be warned!

Yesterday, I had dinner at this restaurant with my friends, and I was truly thrilled because I finally found a seafood paella that lived up to my expectations--something I hadn't been able to find anywhere else in the area. We also enjoyed seafood pasta, salads, and desserts. I highly recommend all of it! We were delighted by the owner's incredibly kind and attentive service. We will certainly be back, and I highly recommend this place for its wonderful atmosphere. They have a fantastic menu for Easter Day. I promise you, you'll be very happy there!

I found this place from Costco actually. We were shopping and saw the gift card and checked out the reviews and gave it a shot. I'm sad to say, I'm not impressed... I drove 40 mins to super slow service and mediocre food. The place is clean and the setting is comfortable. So overall I'd say this is a solid 3. Food... I took a picture of just our appetizer and honestly didn't even bother with the rest. We ordered wings as an appetizer and my GOD! 5 of the smallest wings ever for $14? Flavor was fine but then again it's deep fried wings... they're not hard to mess up. Double smash burger, extremely greasy, a little dry, and just not that great. Fries were good. Fish and chips, I'd probably pass on ordering again. Fish was very skimp. More batter than protein and once again fairly average. Fish tacos, pretty flavorless and dry. I know it's hard to find good fish tacos so I shouldn't have expected much but I've been on a fish tacos thing lately after a recent trip. Lastly, the best thing we ordered and the only thing saving this from a total bust. The crab melt. This was good! Plenty of flavor, well mixed. Not too much bread and generous protein. Overall, I wouldn't make the drive back but maybe if I was a local I'd go back for just the crab melt.

Seared Ahi Tuna Salad and Hibiscus Iced Tea

Food was absolutely delicious here -- the ahi tuna salad was huge, very fresh, and perfectly dressed, while the salmon was excellent with a satisfying portion size. Prices were pretty typical for the area, but the salmon was a great value for the price. The calamari with aioli was also a standout, light and flavorful with a creamy, nicely balanced sauce. The menu had so many tempting options that it was honestly hard to choose; there were several dishes I wanted to try, so I'll definitely be back to sample more. Service was great, and the food came out surprisingly fast for how busy it was. A nice extra touch was their unique plates and serving dishes -- they added a cool, intentional vibe to the whole meal. Highly recommend.

My Chilean sea bass meal was delicious! My husband had salmon which was a bit overcooked for him. However, for the entree prices, we were disappointed the meal didn't come with bread/rolls or a small salad. Service was good and my glass of wine wasn't exorbitant, so all-in-all we'll probably go back. read more

My new favorite restaurant in Livermore. Unbelievable food especially for this area. My hubby & I split an order of calamari and I've never tasted such amazing calamari. The rings were thick cut and very lightly coated then fried. They were perfectly tender. We also split the sea food paella which was ample for 2. It might sound pricy at $37.50 but oh, so worth it especially when split. The sea food was so fresh and the plentiful. Hubby ended with the molten chocolate cake with pomegranate chocolate ice cream. Yum. The wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable and attentive. Enrique was a delight. I love seeing the wait staff, owners, chef all interacting & helping each other out. It makes for a more enjoyable evening. I can't wait to try the cioppino next time. read more

Came here tonight for dinner and was not disappointed! Great ambiance and decor, very nice staff, and the food was amazing. I'm assuming she was the owner but could have been a manager, but she was walking around checking on the diners and made sure everyone had what they needed. She was very sweet and so was our server. ( I didn't get her name) I got the green salad and added salmon- it was very good and refreshing! Great portions as well! This place is amazing! Service was excellent and food was delicious. I come here at least once a week and every new item I try on the menu is so good. Food presentation is also something I've noticed here. It looks and tastes like a fine dining experience. The manager Eric is super nice and the rest of his staff are on top of everything. Went today for an early lunch. Made a reservation for 3. We were seated right away. It was pretty busy I recommend making a reservation. Sorry didn't take any pics, but everyone really enjoyed their meal. I had the steak and eggs with country potatoes. The potatoes were delicious! I ordered medium rear was a tad more medium but still very good and well seasoned. My parents ordered the chicken Madeira and the Polo's special with bacon and linguica. They both really enjoyed, Linguica wasn't too greasy and the chicken was a generous portion. The Service was great water glass was never empty. It was busy but still had fast very attentive service. All staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back and highly recommend. read more

This establishment was very well kept, and clean. This is definitely a hidden gem for sure. It's location is in a small little shopping center but very quite and calming. Well the food was good, the service was great but a 20% large party fee for 2 people is a joke!!! And we didn't even get the bruschetta... they accidentally sent out another starter and they said they would give us the bruschetta on the house for the mistake..... What a pleasant surprise! Met some friends here for lunch and am so pleased to welcome this new eatery to Livermore. Everything we tried was delicious. Between us we had the black and blue salad, home made clam chowder, crab salad sandwich and the chicken sandwich, as well as the hibiscus cocktail. We can't wait to go back and try their breakfast offerings. We were able to meet and visit with the owners a bit and it's plain to see that they love what they're doing and take great pride in providing high quality, thoughtfully prepared food. We were here on a Sunday morning. There was no line waiting which was good. The food was ok, nothing impressive. We ordered crab Benedict, meatlover omelette and steak. The restaurant has an outdoor seating but we sat indoor because it was chilly that morning. There was a teenager with curly long hair working on the floor. He kept touching his hair and face/nose throughout the time we dined there. After he touched his hair and nose, he folded the napkins and silverware. I think it is very unhygienic. We will not return. read more

Went here for brunch. The food was dry and tasteless, and vastly overpriced for what it was. Coffee was bland. I had a stomach ache the rest of the day. I could not even finish the meal it was so bad. And they did not bring my full order. read more

really yummy pasta! their fries look normal, but whatever seasoning they use is so good! breakfast foods we've gotten are yummy, too. the churro waffle was a very small portion, but tasty. unfortunately, they have really weird hours, so a lot of times, i want to go there, but they're closed. read more

Have heard about this place by family and friends. After conducting a YELP review we saw mostly five stars. Went there to try it today and I must say, for them just being open for three weeks, the food was amazing and the service was excellent. Usually new places that open take a while to get everything just right. Not Polos Corner! The seared ahi tuna was excellent and my husband's burger was cooked to perfection. This place has been opened and runned by two brothers and a sister. We spoke to the owner and you can just feel the labor of love that comes with this opening. Kudos to them and I hope they are here for a good long time. You have to check this one out soon!!! read more

First impression when we came to this place was feeling very welcomed by this family owned restaurant. Service and food were great and we came here once for dinner and also breakfast. Where do I start, EVERYTHING was amazing!! From the service to the drinks and food. Servers wee attentive and the owners came by to check on our group. Felt like home! Ordered the margarita flight (strawberry chamoy, guava and pineapple mango) - favorite was the strawberry chamoy, tasted like candy so be cautious too many may have you singing karaoke in a blink. Our table ordered the calamari for start, super crispy and the chipotle sauce was delicious - ordered a side for my fries later on. The Crab Melt was delicious and fresh, REAL crab and not stingy. Other in the group ordered the chicken sandwich was great as well. Lastly, for dessert we has the caramel apple pie (HEAVEN!) which was not too sweet. As well, the chocolate molten - my favorite as a chocolate lover, super moist and perfect level of sweetness. The mango mousse was great as well, personally not a big mango person but the group left no evidence of it. To complete finish, we has the ice cream flight as well. All the ice creams were creamy not too sweet and delicious. The pistachio was my favorite out the three! For sure coming back for a brunch with the girls!! read more

The food here is exceptional. We had quiche that was devine, highly recommend! The service was so friendly and prompt. The inside seating was full and louder than we prefer. In good weather we would likely sit outside, but it was raining and cold today. They do have patio heaters. Be careful with any food allergies -my husband ordered mango juice and was given orange juice. I am sure we will be returning since the food is great, and the service is very friendly. It is pricey, especially for a strip mall location, so you might want to check the menus before you go. read more

Me and my daughter went here for brunch today and my question is why haven't we been here before!! We started with mimosa flights and they were great, such good flavors, mango, guava, pineapple and sunrise! We had the cinnamon pancakes and chilaquiles. They were both excellent! I had a hard time deciding because the menu had so many yummy sounding items! We didn't have any this time, but we watched Jeanette, the owner, make the most beautiful coffee drinks!! They have a patio area which we can't wait to try once the weather gets better. This will be a regular spot for us for sure!! read more

The service is great and food is very tasteful. The Alfredo is some of the best Alfredo I've ever had. Better than some Italian restaurants. Even the cheesy bread accompanied with the Alfredo was amazing. The burger was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Great fries too with a little crunch to them but still soft on the inside. I would advise against the margarita flights. They are very tasteful, but have barely any alcohol. Not worth the cost. I would recommend getting each margarita individually as they are so flavorful. Hopefully as a whole margarita, there would be alcohol in it. Will definitely be coming back for the Alfredo pasta and service though. read more

Wow an amazing restaurant in North Livermore. Food is amazing delicious balanced attractive presentation the deserts are to die for. This is one of my wife and I's favorite spots. It's never super busy although it does get crowded sometimes especially on the weekends. The place is very chill. The menu good stay and some updating but overall it's still pretty great. read more

Try using some balsamic glaze over micro greens/arugula and a little EVO would go a long way. Maybe guacamole for the avocado toast and top with a fried egg (not crispy on the edges). We have found Tony Chachere's seasoning elevates many dishes, and would be a great accent for avocado toast ;) The cookies are dry & flavorless, our toddler wasn't interested in her cookie despite the pretty sprinkles. Just fyi - Ina G has some great recipes. We like your place these are just suggestions to consider.
