We were having issues with some markings/discoloration on our pool (replastered last year). Upon reaching out to Blaze (spelling?) who had apparently taken over from our previous rep Luis- we weren't getting any answers other than that our pool vacuum was put in too early (it wasn't). After posting my issues here- Greg immediately reached out and offered to come check it out himself. He came, explained how to repair the issue and assured my husband that if there truly was any plaster issue he would address it through the warranty. They worked everything out to my husbands satisfaction (he can be even more critical than me). The worst experience and a complete waste of time with this company. They advertised what was supposedly a Valentine's promotion, so I contacted them expecting transparent pricing. However, everything turned out to be a strategy to attract customers--at no point did they actually provide the promotional price. Instead, they insisted on preparing a quote. I specifically asked whether they could confirm that the promotional price would be honored based on the measurements, but they refused. It became clear that the "promotion" was simply a tactic to generate leads rather than a genuine offer. They then requested a quote I had received from another company, claiming they would use it to provide a competitive price. I shared the information in good faith, and after that, they completely stopped responding. No follow-up, no quote--nothing. At this point, the spillway issues have finally been corrected and the system now performs significantly differently than it did originally, after multiple reconstruction attempts, geometry changes, and material changes. We are not seeking additional work or compensation. My review exists solely to document our experience for other consumers. What remains most concerning is how this company chose to publicly handle customer concerns. Instead of limiting responses to workmanship, warranty scope, construction standards, or documented project facts, the company repeatedly chose to include personal attacks, commentary about my relationship, insinuations about my personal life, accusations unrelated to the actual construction issues, and inflammatory remarks directed at us publicly. Notably, many of those original public responses were later edited or removed entirely. The original versions included mocking commentary, profanity, references to "OnlyFans," comments about my personal life, and other statements completely unrelated to pool construction or spillway performance. For clarification, at no point did I make racist remarks toward subcontractors. I did express frustration regarding communication barriers during active construction issues after repeated concerns about damage to property and ongoing workmanship problems. Those concerns were directed at the lack of supervision, project management, and resolution process not anyone's ethnicity. The company even chose to publicly reference a minor employee allegedly becoming upset during an office interaction, despite the fact that no "bring your child to work day" or similar circumstance was ever disclosed to us at the time. That situation had nothing to do with the spillway concerns, workmanship issues, or reconstruction history and further demonstrates how personal and inappropriate these public responses became. That alone speaks volumes about the professionalism of how this situation was handled publicly. The company also repeatedly attempts to minimize the issue by characterizing the feature as "just a spillway" rather than a waterfall. In reality, this raised spa and spillway system was designed as one of the primary focal points of the entire pool. It is not a minor trickle-style feature hidden in the background. The visual water flow, symmetry, and spillway performance are central design elements of the project and were presented that way throughout construction and design discussions. A professional company can disagree with a customer while still remaining professional and focused on the project itself. Instead, this became increasingly personal, defensive, and retaliatory in tone. The documentation, reconstruction history, emails, certified correspondence, photos, videos, subcontractor involvement, and eventual changes to the spillways all speak for themselves. The edited responses now visible publicly are noticeably toned down from the originals. Consumers can draw their own conclusions as to why a company would later remove or revise large portions of its own public statements after posting them. Honest Review! I was looking for pool companies to interview and accidentally hit the "wrong" button on yelp and sent out a bat signal to everyone. Ben from Pools R Us contacted us right away and offered to come out for an estimate. I really liked his approach as I explained we waited over a decade to finally decide to invest in the backyard. He really put me at ease. After interviewing many companies, it was Ben that sold us. When we signed the contract I had a lot of questions and asked for amendments before signing. The company was agreeable and listened to my concerns. Afterall spending almost 100k isn't an easy decision. After signing and sending over a large sum of money is when I really started to get scared. It was a lot of money to send and I really needed someone to reassure me. I called and spoke to Ben. We went through the contract again and explained all the ways I was going to be okay and reminded me to: Trust the process! There were times I had questions but what I found was my concerns were always addressed. All of the subcontractors were so polite and understanding since I live in a HOA and you really can't park on my street even though phases like pouring concrete require it, they were ready to move when needed. First and foremost, I met Greg and Clay before, I think, several years back, and at the time, I couldn't get the right loan. Needless to say, I have done a load of research on them before choosing them. I looked into their licensing, bond, team, better business reviews, Google reviews, and yelp. I have seen many negative reviews on many pool builders, including a close brother of mines, friend who gave me a rough quote. I wouldn't even use a friend due to the poor reviews! Greg and Clay legit communicate through phone and text, and if they don't reply right away, they will within a day or so. Throughout the process, I was aware of everything that was going on, and if I had any dumb questions, they replied. Their subs were professional and kind towards me and my family throughout the entire process. I will say this if you're looking for a builder, this is the business you want to use. I do not believe the negative reviews by far as Greg made a lot of crap right and did right by me and my family. I have had only a handful of pool Builders that I sought out, but truthfully and respectfully, they can not compete with Greg and Clay's business period. Once the pool was finished, Clay and Greg did a walk through and saw some small problems that they did fix and made sure it was repaired in a timely manner. They have a welcoming package that, as an owner, you must read, and it tells you a step by step process of what to expect throughout the process. No bs I would use them in the future for replastering and acid washes and even a new pool build if I grab another home. Greg and Clay don't mess around when it comes to professionalism. As a first time pool owner we did an exhaustive search for the right company, I was almost ready to give up--finding a pool builder who not only has the expertise but also makes you feel comfortable and confident is no easy task. From the start, Pools R Us provided peace of mind with clear, solid contracts and full transparency. They were always available to answer questions, and Greg (the owner), in particular, went above and beyond to guide us through the entire process. He helped us feel at ease, making sure that every decision was in line with our goals, design preferences, and budget. The team was incredibly responsive and worked seamlessly with other contractors, ensuring everything was coordinated without a hitch. There was no upselling of unnecessary features--just honest recommendations that made sense for our needs. Building a pool is an expensive and timely process. Choosing a builder....equally as critical. We did a lot of research beforehand....watched YT videos, contacted several builders......ultimately we went with Pools "R" us based on some poor interactions with GC, and DSPaS (if you are looking...you know the initials). Right off the bat....the design process, Clay asked what we were looking for, what features we wanted, and produced a design that was spot-on. Then came the price...whoah! 6 figures...but we were half expecting it based on our research. When we told Clay it was a bit too pricey he invited us to the office to look at alterations. Clay didn't try to sell us the most expensive stuff, he understood our budget and thoughtfully gave us options that we all agreed upon. They gave us a packet outlying what to expect from the process....that was a PRO MOVE as we had never taken on a project of this size, and the expectations reduced our anxiety along the way. We got the design pics and taped them to our back door so we could live with them throughout the process. It took 3 months....was it painless...no....were there some issues through the build....sure. But Luis, Clay, Greg, and Arin all worked together to make sure everything was the way WE WANTED it. We wanted specific wall tiles, they didn't have them....until Arin stepped in and got them. It was clear from the beginning that they knew this was OUR dream, and they were making it come true. Luis was on-site a lot to explain what was happening and ensure we knew why it was happening. The final result.....exactly what we asked for and "lived with" on our back door for months. We absolutely love it. They gave our project, and us, the attention we expected, listened to our concerns, walked us through every step of the process....and even let me time-lapse every step so we would have it forever. As most homeowners are aware, it is critical to find the right business to help enhance your costly pool investment. After researching other businesses on Yelp and the local BBB, we chose Pool R Us, and we couldn't be happier. Cody began by visiting our pool and listening to what we wanted to do to "refresh" its appearance, which was so outdated when we purchased the home. (I swear whoever thought red flagstone would make a nice pool border in Las Vegas must have been drunk when they used this material for so many pools).  Cody measured our pool and listened to what we desired to do with it. Several of his great recommendations were incorporated into the redesign. He followed up with a solid cost estimate and an agreed-upon renovation schedule. Surprisingly, the first demo crew was able to begin work a month sooner than anticipated...I'm not going to stop productivity.  Chuck, the site foreman, would conduct random inspections to verify everything was proceeding according to plan. He even came on the weekends to assist with the little tasks. In 2019, I contracted Pools R Us for an extensive pool renovation project that included the installation of a new concrete deck. Unfortunately, I have encountered persistent issues with the quality of their work, prompting me to share my experiences with the hope of raising awareness. Shortly after the completion of the project, I began to notice significant deterioration in the newly poured concrete, resulting in the cool deck bubbling up. The concrete deck has exhibited alarming signs of decay and disintegration, which can be attributed to a fundamental problem with the concrete mix itself. This deterioration commenced within the first year after the project's conclusion and has progressively gotten worse. My husband and I reached out to the owner around the one-year mark to address the bubbling cool deck. While they did send their team once to address the issue, the problem has persisted and even worsened in areas that received attempted repairs and all over the rest of the deck. It is vital to clarify that the issue lies with the concrete rather than the cool deck overlay, as nothing will adhere well to a crumbling concrete base. New concrete should look smooth and grey, but in my attached photos, you can see where the cool deck has chipped off; it looks sandy (this is the top layer of concrete crumbling off), and you can see the exposed aggregate in the concrete. Regrettably, my attempts at communication with the owner have been marred by unprofessionalism, sarcasm, and a dismissive attitude. The owner has not taken the time to inspect the deficiencies since the project's completion, making it difficult to establish a productive dialogue. Yet, they will accuse me of causing the damage by "dragging furniture." Furthermore, we encountered a separate issue related to a leak in the spa. Although Pools R Us denied responsibility, claiming they did not work on the plumbing, they did perform extensive excavation work, including jackhammering the old concrete around the plumbing. Despite this, they stated they did not service the "underground plumbing" and maintain that the leak was not their fault. Lastly, the new plaster applied to our pool exhibits unsightly modeling, which cannot be remedied through acid washing. I brought out a company to bid on an acid wash since it's disappointing that my new pool looks so bad, but they noted that this issue appears to be a result of poor mixing before application, further reflecting the subpar workmanship on this project. I understand that every company may face challenges, but the lack of accountability and professionalism displayed by Pools R Us has left me deeply disappointed. It says in the text "just dirt on the poolside not concrete" BECAUSE IT'S NOT MY HOUSE. I have concrete that you poured over my autofill, I will give you credit, that has never leaked. The quality of the concrete is the issue not the autofill. You like to make a lot of incorrect assumptions, but I have photos of everything so I'm happy to share. Since you brought it up though yes your team ruined my turf that surrounded my pool and got cool deck paint and foot prints all over it and then tried to cut it while reinstalling it, and then you threatened to lien my house when I asked you replace it. read more

Greg Tribble (supposedly one of the owners) failed over 6 inspections after a year of starting a simple pool that is still till this day not completed. This company is quick to take your money but NOT quick to do their work. I am no one to legally advise however, I strongly recommend that you research them well before giving them ANY money. They seem to fire the people that receive your initial payment then pretend they haven't received it even if you have video's and legal documents stating you gave payment. We got several quotes for a remodel for our pool. We ended up going with Pools R Us. They did an incredible job and were so easy to work with.
