    Beans!

Finally "popped" in here to sample! The chicken pie was under seasoned; chicken in the butter chicken pie was quite dry unfortunately. Hopefully the original for my husband will impress! Tried their key lime pie and it was just ok. The ladies at the counter are quite nice! Very friendly and welcoming! Quick service too. The star of this location is the coffee/espresso! He roasts his own beans and the cortado was perfect. It is a very family friendly cafe with Stella Jean's ice cream in the same spot! Street parking with a couple designated spots off the alley! Update: The original pop pie chicken title was excellent per my husband!!!

Pop Pie Co. received 2024 readers choice awards for best lunch and best comfort food, and I can see why - The savory pies have a buttery flaky crust and the flavorful and savory filling of the steak & ale and chicken pot pie were incredible! 5/5 STEAK & ALE A quintessentially British pie made of slow-braised beef, barley, mushrooms, carrots, dark ale gravy, all in our signature all-butter crust. 5/5 CLASSIC CHICKEN Our most popular savory pie! All-white chicken breast meat, garden vegetables, pearl onions, creamy herb sauce, all in our signature all-butter crust. Service Staff were friendly and helpful with my order. Ambiance - There's plenty of interior seating to dine in.

The collab pies for 3/14/2026 (pi day).

Happy Pi Day! Pi Day (3/14) celebrates the math constant , but for us it's the perfect excuse to celebrate with savory and sweet pies This is our second time celebrating Pi Day at Pop Pie Co. and Stella, and it's quickly becoming a little tradition for us. This was our first time at this location. This time we came in the afternoon and unfortunately missed the collaboration pies. I was excited to try the Tinola pie created by Filipino Chef Tara. The sign was still outside for the collab when we drove by. Parking: There are two spots in the back or you can find street parking. When we arrived, a large truck was taking both of the back spots, so it took us a little time to find parking nearby. Seating: There are several seats inside and a few seats outside. What we ordered: * Chicken pot pie (with half mashed potatoes and half corn). I didn't know you could half the side the cashier suggested this and it was great! * Steak and Ale * Apple crumble pie slice * Affogato (Espresso with ice cream) Stella- Ube + pandesal ice cream Calamansi Creamsicle Military Discount: 5 percent off The chicken pot pie was hearty and comforting with flaky crust and lots of filling. The mashed potatoes and corn on the side was a nice compliment. The steak and ale was savory. The beef was cooked perfectly, nice and tender. The apple crumble pie was warm, sweet, and packed with apple filling. The crumb topping added a nice texture and just the right amount of sweetness. We also tried the ube + pandesal ice cream, which had a nice Filipino twist and paired nicely with the dessert pies. I really enjoy creamsicle and the calamansi added a nice spin to it. Even though we missed the collaboration pies, we still had a great Pi Day visit.

Cappuccino is good and strong and great flavor. Loved it. The iced mocha was delicious on a hot day. Nice flavor and not overly sweet. Some indoor seating and outdoor seating as well. Service was great. Fast and friendly. Dog friendly.

Pop Pie shop is next door to Cesarina on Voltaire St in Ocean Beach. The shop also offers Stella Jean ice cream so you can both ice cream à la mode with your pie. Parking is a challenge and this is a major factor for many. Have passed this shop so many times and never stepped inside because I had just dined at Cesarina. It's kid and pet friendly. Only indoor seating available, no outdoor seating. Staffers were helpful and friendly. The display case shows sweet and savory pies; large and mini, hand held aka turnovers, and cookies. I'm not a hugh fan of pies but my friend has a sweet tooth and couldn't resist ordering a few pies, so of course I had to try a bite of each lol My friend liked the steak and ale and the mixed berry. I'm glad they offer savory options, because sometimes I don't crave sweet. My favs were the quiche, veggie with yellow curry and the key lime. My first try of key lime pie was in Key West Florida and it was the best, this pie tastes good and is a close contender. There are several Pop Pie and Stella Jean shops throughout San Diego. The Golden Hill location was my first visit. This location seemed to attract more people maybe because it's close to the beach. So if you're close by this shop is worth a visit, pop into Pop Pie. While in San Diego, we wanted to find a spot where we can grab some food to take to go and eat at home whilst enjoying a cup of coffee. Low and behold, Pop Pie. We ordered a handful of pies. Our order included the following: Green Hog & Cheese Steak & Ale Classic Chicken While we loved all of it, my favorite hands down was the green hog and cheese. The staff onsite was so friendly too. As soon as I had walked out of the store, my brand new iced latte spilled. The staff generously offered to make me a new drink, which they totally didn't have to. Would definitely come back if I'm ever in the mood for pie again in the area.

I was a little hungry before work and my husband was dropping me off work so I asked him if he'd get me a little treat to get me through the day. He did not disappoint, he ended up getting me a horchata matcha and a sausage roll and he got himself a steak and ale pie. My matcha was perfectly sweetened, it's more matcha with a little hit of cinnamon from the horchata. The piece de resistance was definitely the sausage roll, the pastry is super flaky and buttery and the sausage is seasoned so well. My husband said that everyone was really friendly and complimented his "fit." When I got home my husband had saved the steak and ale pie for both of us, I reheated it in the oven and the crust was again was so flaky and buttery and the filling my god was so good, there are chunks of steak and mushroom and it was absolutely delicious. There are so many locations so I would definitely say try them out!

All things said this is the Fall treat yourself location---a variety of pies and drinks and ice cream. Why would you not want to visit? The stellar service was matched by the tasty pie options that they offered from salted caramel to Aussie meat pies this is a place that has a variety of baked goods. Maybe it is the season where you feel the chill and love the Halloween decor of the store but they somehow get it right here. From service to delivery. On the pricier end for a pie but what you are paying for is ambiance and service and pie variety. The pies were delicious and can be warmed up for you. I would not say it was on par with Julian pie but it does scratch that itch of wanting a good slice of pie. At $16 for a pie and a drink you are in for a treat but you are also paying for that treat haha. I also got the matcha latte and I will say it tasted pretty well. Presentation goes a long way and I say that they are big on branding and beautiful spaces. Parking might be a bit of a hassle at this location but I will say once you walk in it is spacious and welcoming. They had wifi at this location so I could work, eat my pie, and have my cup of latte.

Ugh I just love Pop Pie and so happy one opened in Point Loma! Everything is amazing. This location shares with Stella Jean and its bright and clean inside with plenty of tables to enjoy your treats. Service is always friendly and efficient. The Piescream was great for our family of 4 to share. It's a whole piece of their fresh hot salted apple crumble pie with their house made caramel and vanilla ice cream. It was literal heaven and I'm still thinking about it. We've had their cookies, which are great and hand pies. All fabulous. Their savory pies are equally amazing. We've had their chicken pot pie, steak and ale and our favorite was the green hog and cheese. If you get a pie you need to grab some of their mashed potatoes and creamed corn. I have not had one bad thing from here. I wish one would open in Phoenix. Until then this will always require a stop when we're in the area!

Great Find on Social Media! took a short drive around the neighborhood and finally founds it. Street Parking then took a short walk to the front of Pop Pie. Inside is nice and open with seating and counter with display of their sweet and savory pies and baked goods.Staff welcoming and helpful with their menu. I ordered the Aussie Pie it was savory with beef , carrots, potatoes kind of filing added sides creamed corn and mashed potatoes very delicious and the pie crust so buttery and flaky. Will certainly return and try other pies and they are good size portion for one person. They also have local made soda pop by Swell and I tried the coffee cream soda Yum

Such a cute place to get savory and sweet pies! We tried their salted caramel apple pie à la mode (which is a scoop of Stella jean's vanilla ice cream). The pie came out warm and flaky, buttery with the acidity from the apples to round out the flavor profile. The pie wasn't too sweet and had a nice crust. The ice cream really tied everything together and complemented the warm pie for that perfect bite. They have cute indoor seating and it's right next to Stella jean's ice cream shop. I can't wait to try their savory pies next! They also offer hand pies that looked delicious! Service was great and friendly!
