I couldn't wait to try this place out during my trip to SoCal! It's really close to Disneyland too. It's located inside this place called The Packing House, so if you're looking for it as like its own building it's not like that. It's upstairs. Parking can be a bit crazy though. We parked a street away. It gets busy too. We were lucky not to stand in a long line. There was about six people ahead of us when we got there, but after that the line became long. We waited about 3 mins. But after it became about a 7 min wait. So expect to stand in a long line. This place is popular. Okay so I had the green tea bar dipped in dark and white chocolate, with almonds, waffle cone pieces and chocolate sprinkles. I for some weird reason thought the bars itself was thicker. They're pretty thin. It says you can get unlimited toppings, but I don't see how that bar would hold together if you got like every topping they have, I feel like the bar would break from too much weight and being too thin. But that's just the math side of me coming out. Mine was good, however I wouldn't get any toppings next time. Why? Because it became a mess and I couldn't enjoy it. It was either, eat it up fast and not enjoy it or take off my toppings, and eat everything separate; and still not enjoy it lol. So I ended up taking off the toppings. The price of it was $3.99 + .50 for toppings and + .50 for dippings. I don't feel like it's worth $4 for one bar, but I guess they do need to make business somehow. Took half a star off. The service was okay. They could smile more though. They're nice, but without them smiling, it kills the energy, the vibe is just... Sad and awkward. Like you're super happy and excited to get this awesome treat from them, but then when they're working on your bar, they just stand there like they're bored since they do the samething over and over and over again. Can't go wrong with whatever concoction you make! I went with pistachio bar, half dipped in dark chocolate, half dipped in white chocolate, topped with pistachios and hazelnut. I was worried it might be a little overkill, but nope! I can't stop thinking about how delicious this was! My boyfriend knew he wanted to start off with a strawberry pop, but had a hard time decided on what toppings to choose. The employee was nice enough to suggest making it taste like strawberry pocky by drizzling milk chocolate and white chocolate, and topping it off with waffle cone crumbles. While it's nice on a hot day, I'm not sure it's good enough for me to hop into a line that runs across the room. Flavors are good, chocolate offerings are okay. I've only tried the fruit sorbet sticks. Staff is as nice as can be. This was such a big deal when it first opened, and I tried it when the line was only 10 people deep...longer than that forget it. My review will strictly be on what I ordered: Dulce de Leche - BUMMER!! We all know dulce de leche to be this rich, decadent, and caramelized milk, however I feel like they either used pre-made dulce de leche or didn't cook down the condensed milk (or sweetened milk) mixture enough. The dulce de leche was more of the beginning stage of caramelization. It didn't have that deep, rich, and complex caramel flavor. The chocolate coating and nuts are probably what made the bar overall taste good. OVERALL: I don't mind paying $$ for food, but for a little over $5 for a bar that didn't deliver too much I was disappointed. I understand price comes with components, overhead, etc but if you are going to sell gelato on a stick at least deliver the true consistency of gelato. And also, if you are going to tell me there are absolutely no artificial ingredients found in your kitchen, I noticed a huge box of Hershey's Chocolate in the back room. If you've ever read the ingredients in Hershey's, the last ingredient is artificial flavor.) Comment: I didn't feel welcome to this place at all. Suuuuper long lines depending on when you come in. They have different flavors of already made froyo, sorbet, or ice cream popsicles so you can pick your flavor and then pick your toppings. You can get as many or as little toppings as you want and then you pay in the end. The popsicles are pretty to look at but beware if you want to add a lot of toppings because it can get overwhelmingly sweet! I've gotten the pumpkin, green tea, vanilla, and chocolate popsicles with different toppings on them and they're all pretty good except, like I said, it can get pretty sweet. The green tea with white chocolate popsicle is always a good choice if I had to pick only one. Worth checking out if you're at the packing district for a sweet treat :) read more

Review for their frozen blended drinks: Been here twice and first time got the frozen hot chocolate and second time got the popacino. Both were not great and overpriced for what it was. Both drinks had too much of that cream blend that stores use for blended drinks to achieve an Ice cream thickness and consistency. It tasted plasticy, and too icy. The popacino was made with powdered coffee and the employees couldn't tell me how much coffee/caffeine it contained (I love my coffee but drink way too much of it, so I make sure to control my daily intake, lol). My favorite blended drinks actually include a real shot (better if two shots) of espresso. For the price of my drink ($4.50) I was expecting a real espresso blended drink. read more

One of the few stores that are already open at the Anaheim Packing House. There's a decent amount of flavors to choose from. Some flavors that I remembered: pistachio, strawberry,coconut, mango etc. I had the pistachio and I honestly thought it was ok. It was way too rich. It was a cool experience until you get to the register and realized u just paid $5+ for a Popsicle. What's unique about this place is that there's several dippings you can choose from..hazelnut,chocolate, white chocolate and a few others. You can take it one step further and sprinkle coconut shredding, almonds etc. I would probably come back but wouldn't get any toppings, it just got too messy. They have a sign that says please let us know if you have a nut allergy, and because I have a slight nut allergy I let them know because I figured they would be more careful with not getting the physical nuts on my pop, but they almost didnt want to sell me any gelato at all for me or for my boyfriend. Then they refused to dip my gelato because of cross contamination. Then my boyfriend got the last vanilla and they werent paying attention so they messed up the toppings and then told him because it was the last vanilla he could take it or not but they cant fix it. This place is really cool if you're like, 16, and want to spend $6 for a friggin popsicle bar to take a picture of and put on your Instagram. I'm not saying I don't post pictures of my food on Instagram, because I do. But this shit was so basic that it really isn't worth it. Depending on the night, the line for this damn place can get really long. On weeknights, I've seen only 2-3 people in line. On weekends, it'll stretch out the door and you'll be forced to wait 40 minutes. If you're really craving a popsicle, then fine, do as you please. But to wait nearly an hour for something you can probably make at home? Nah bruh. The popsicles aren't very memorable and toppings were just ok. Not sure why so many people complain about the price? Its artisanal Gelato/Sorbet/Yogurt pops made daily with natural ingredients. Sure, we can buy cheaper stuff at the market made by machines and have who knows what in there. If you prefer that great but if you don't there's Popbar. Pops start at $3.49 and go up depending on how you customize them. They don't skimp on quality here so the upgrades are worth it IMO. Tried a few so far but pumpkin is still my favorite. Strawberry is runner up as it has real strawberry chunks in there soo good! Will definitely be back soon. read more

Let me start by saying that if this place didn't have such ridiculously long lines, it would be 5 stars. I waited for 45 min for a Popsicle! Some will debate on whether it is worth the wait, but you definitely need to try it at least once and decide for yourself. My brother and I recently went here to see what the hype was all about. The combinations here are endless, and choosing a creation can seem a bit daunting. Luckily, they have a nice little website where you can scroll through all of their flavors and look at sample combinations. We were able to look at it and decide what we wanted while waiting in the massive line. They have fruity and sweet gelato flavors, some are common and others a bit less common. You start with a gelato, and add on from there. You can add a dipping (full or half) and then add toppings or chocolate drizzles. I got a vanilla gelato with half dipped dark chocolate, coconut shreds, and mint chocolate drizzle. I came into this thinking this place would just be a trendy place with a lot of hype and really overrate. I, like probably many people, thought how good could a ice cream bar be?? I was pleasantly surprised! I had the espresso/coffee bar, half dipped in the dark mint chocolate (the full dip seemed like too much commitment to me), and sprinkled in coconut and pistachios. It tasted like a very high quality fudgecicle! What I was most impressed about was the high quality of ingredients...the gelato bar was very creamy, great texture and surprisingly a lot of flavor! My friend ordered the green tea, and one of my biggest gripe with green tea is there is never enough flavor, but this had a pow of flavor. The toppings were also very high quality...nice chunks of good pistachio in mine. If you talk to the servers, they will tell you about the recommended combinations like the "Green Tea Kit Kat" and "Samoa Girl Scout Cookie". As far as the wait, we went on a Friday evening and the line was not terribly long. We waited about 15-20 min, which I assume you would spend talking to your company anyways right? The Packing District is a congregating place...not some place you would really be standing alone. I do agree it's a little on the pricey side...~$4-5 for a bar, but arguably the ingredients are much higher quality. You get for what you pay for right? Service is great.
