There was a worker name Zach that was up in the front and we asked a question about their new fried pickle. But then he stopped taking our order and said he needed his supervisor up here. But his supervisor was doing a walk with management and did not once greet us at all. Then finally we said let's just order and by the time the supervisor came up we were paying already. Yesterday I was stuck at the TA, and Popeyes sounded like a great idea. $28 for a 3 piece white combo with two breasts and a wing.. (because a white combo with the white upcharge is 2 wings and 1 breast) i asked for red beans and rice with a large mashed potato and 3 jalpenos... $28. They charged the full price for a large mashed potato, and yet didn't give me one that should have came with the combo meal. Again $28 for a fast food meal for 1, even with upgrades should never pass $20. Good thing they got it from me then, because they'll never see a dollar from me there again!! read more

For a truck stop location on one of the busiest highways they have to be the slowest ever. They were waiting wings, fries, chicken fingers at the time we ordered. The cashier wandered around, ignored people and then decided she was stressed out and went out to smoke. I am still waiting for my food as I finish this review. Food is expensive but I was using a coupon so the price was reasonable. The 3 piece strips with cajun fries was tasty. There was a spicy chipotle sauce to go with it that hit the spot. Biscuit was just dry. Nothing spectacular. It was very busy when I visited but I was served fairly quickly. Will stop back again to use more coupons until I run out. read more

Chicken was cold. Sides were only half full. Basically 3 spoons of red beans and rice for $4! Some sauces were not available. I will say the food came quick but that's because it was sitting under the heat lamps getting cold. I would not recommend. Maybe if you caught them when they first open and have fresh food but the portions are still horrible read more

It's a truck stop TA so don't expect much and you will be content! I say all that to say the food is good but I just watched 3 people stand behind an obvious new hire and give her very rude comments about her performance in front of me. I felt very sorry for her! This is a truck stop variation of one of my favourite chicken chains. As far as I know even as of October they're still doing only carryout and drive thru service (no dine in). A few months ago their new chicken sandwiches were all the rage to the point where it was hard to get ahold of one because they were out. For that reason I waited a bit to go for one and this was that time. I got a carryout of a few of them for myself and my family; specifically getting the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. On it is a fried chicken breast with spicy breading topped with spicy mayo and a random pickle. With all due respect to all of the other chicken sandwiches I've ever had and I've had some good one's but this tops them all. The chicken was still crispy even after the drive home (which is a long one for me) and had a great spicy flavour on the breading. To make it even better they put an awesome spicy mayo on it (and a random pickle that really didn't mean anything) which may be the single best sauce I've had on a chicken sandwich. I'm pretty sure they put a good bit of cayenne in it although I'm kinda guessing there. Whatever it is it was delicious and when put on that chicken it's a magical concoction of awesome flavour. This sandwich is the stuff of legends and I see why there was so much buzz. The Cajun rice is always a great side and unique to Popeye's. I have no idea how to explain what's in it but it's a dry rice kinda dusted with the flavours. Those flavours are definitely Cajun in that big blend of awesome spices kind of way. Fantastic stuff. I also must mention their Red Beans and Rice which is my wife's favourite. With my dislike of beans I can't intelligently elaborate any more but she loves it. As you can probably tell this was a superb meal. When it comes to the Popeye's Spicy Chicken Sandwich believe the hype. read more

Oh boy oh boy, where do I begin. I went to the Marathon in this complex to get some gas on my way back to campus and I decided to grab some Popeyes. I reaaaaally didn't want to get down because I'm a lazy bum so luckily enough there was a drive thru. I finished filling up my tank and pulled into the drive thru lane. I sat there for a few minutes and didn't hear a soul on the other end of the system. I honestly couldn't tell if the drive thru was open or not or if Popeyes itself was open or not. Then, after a while, someone finally came on the PA system and asked for my order. Like every Popeyes the food was great. The three stars is for the fast food not being fast. Yeah that's a bit nitpicky but drive thrus are supposed to be swift. read more

So I'm gonna be straight up with you, at a fast food restaurant in a truck stop, at 7:30 pm, you can't expect much. What I didn't expect was for them to be out of over half there menu, and also make my order wrong. Now I didn't go back up as I liked what I ended up getting but just be aware. I'll add that while this isn't there fault, they do share restrooms with the TA and they were not clean. I'll add that the parking lot has some sketchy figures in it, which given the area surprised me. Overall this place just doesn't have a lot going for it. read more

The chicken at this Popeyes was good I won't lie. But the level of unprofessionalism in this Popeyes was terrible. The whole store seem to be run by little kids which isn't a bad thing because for the most part fast food is a job for a child. But my complaint was when they're back there playing with each other instead of taking our orders in the line is wrapped around the store. I just don't understand and they're sitting there looking at the line looking at us and are continuing to chase each other around and just all-around be foolish. Now to my surprise from the time I ordered my food my food did come out relatively fast. And the food actually was very good. But in all honesty I don't see myself going back to this Popeyes. Yeah. No. My girlfriend recommended because she wanted their chicken. I've always heard it was really good so we gave it a try. This chain is a poor example of Popeyes. The tenders I got were not good and one of the sides made me sick to my stomach (Red beans n Rice) to where I didn't even finish the meal I paid $14 for. To top it off we had a carry out order and they screwed it up. We both got tenders, but they gave us an order that wasn't ours and messed up our entire day so thanks for that. Popeye's is one of those chain fast food restaurants I wish we had more of. I love anything spicy or Cajun, so this place is a perfect fit for me. They have a bunch of sauces to choose from, as well as sides. I do wish though they had more entree selections; it seems like it mostly consists of chicken tenders or chicken breasts. It's a tad bit of a knock-off KFC, but it is unique with it's Louisiana-style twist. Still a great place to go on the road, and probably the best fast food restaurant for chicken tenders! read more

The biscuits are good. Green beans tasted like they just dumped the can, the order was wrong and they didn't give us the dips we asked for. and if you are going to sell someone shrimp please let them know you are out of cocktail sauce. This was my first and last time at Popeyes. Service was not good. The lady kept yelling out people's names. When I asked if she was yelling Sam or Dan she said, "Sam/ Dan, same difference". This place is in a great location. But their drive thru has been closed for MONTHS. You have to go inside. Went in recently and was ignored by the staff (two teenage boys goofing around in the kitchen who saw me standing there). I had to lean over the counter to see if someone would help me and there was a young girl in the drive thru window playing on her phone. She saw me and said "Sorry, our systems are down" and went right back to playing on her phone. Pretty disappointed in this place. read more

Incredibly unprofessional! So dirty! There was one girl that actually acted like she cared but she couldn't do it all. The guy finally came to the register and just stared off into space. She asked if I was ready to order. They messed the order up then no sauce. The chicken strips tasted like they were two day old. The rice was so greasy I couldn't get past the first bite. A damn zoo! Sunday afternoon and they had the drive thru closed. They also had the dining room closed. There were people lined up out the door. The employees were stressed and it showed because they were spouting off and weren't very professional. I don't blame them though, it was nuts. The food came pretty quick but it felt thrown together. The very big spicy chicken sandwich had about a half-teaspoon of sauce. It was overall pretty flavorless. I've had this sandwich a few times before and it was never like this. We ordered two PoBoys and 3 pc chicken strip combo. After my card had gone thru I was informed PoBoys were not available due to "no bread" and to "pick something else on the menu".. Crunched for time, we did so. The dining room was filthy with food and trash on and under every table. The trash bins were over flowing and the napkin dispenser was empty. The chicken strips were cold. The french fries were forgotten in the order. The macaroni was room temp at most. Drinks were cold though.
