3 piece tender box with Cajun fries

Food is expensive but I was using a coupon so the price was reasonable. The 3 piece strips with cajun fries was tasty. There was a spicy chipotle sauce to go with it that hit the spot. Biscuit was just dry. Nothing spectacular. It was very busy when I visited but I was served fairly quickly. Will stop back again to use more coupons until I run out.

This is a truck stop variation of one of my favourite chicken chains. As far as I know even as of October they're still doing only carryout and drive thru service (no dine in). A few months ago their new chicken sandwiches were all the rage to the point where it was hard to get ahold of one because they were out. For that reason I waited a bit to go for one and this was that time. I got a carryout of a few of them for myself and my family; specifically getting the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. On it is a fried chicken breast with spicy breading topped with spicy mayo and a random pickle. With all due respect to all of the other chicken sandwiches I've ever had and I've had some good one's but this tops them all. The chicken was still crispy even after the drive home (which is a long one for me) and had a great spicy flavour on the breading. To make it even better they put an awesome spicy mayo on it (and a random pickle that really didn't mean anything) which may be the single best sauce I've had on a chicken sandwich. I'm pretty sure they put a good bit of cayenne in it although I'm kinda guessing there. Whatever it is it was delicious and when put on that chicken it's a magical concoction of awesome flavour. This sandwich is the stuff of legends and I see why there was so much buzz. The Cajun rice is always a great side and unique to Popeye's. I have no idea how to explain what's in it but it's a dry rice kinda dusted with the flavours. Those flavours are definitely Cajun in that big blend of awesome spices kind of way. Fantastic stuff. I also must mention their Red Beans and Rice which is my wife's favourite. With my dislike of beans I can't intelligently elaborate any more but she loves it. As you can probably tell this was a superb meal. When it comes to the Popeye's Spicy Chicken Sandwich believe the hype.

First off: The prices are astronomical. $73.00 to feed 3 people. Plus did not receive the drinks and one of the sides. I vow never again.

Food is very expensive. You need to take out a small loan to eat there. Hardly same people working there

Consistently the slowest drive thru I have ever experienced. Chicken sandwich is great but not worth waiting for.

Sadly the online menu wouldn't allow us to order just sandwiches, only combos. Didn't want a combo, went to LaRosa's instead.

Service was fast and efficient, and the food was OK, but not on par with the competition.

Drive 3 hours from WV to try the so called "amazing" chicken sandwich. But, they were sold out! Had to drive to another location to try one.

The Cajun seasonings are amazing on the chicken and in the gravy on the mashed potatoes.

I can honestly say I don't get it. We love us some Cane's. Yesterday, we were craving some Cane's, so we found this location on the way home from being away for a short weekend and this place was packed! Couldn't get in the drive as the line for the drive thru was wrapped around the building. Once we did manage to park, we quickly made our way inside only to find it packed as well. But the workers were on it. They know what they are doing at this location. Normally, spouse and I order the box. Has four tenders, slaw, fries and Texas toast. We always order and extra slice each. We also order an extra serving cup of sauce since you can never get enough. Yesterday... We did the Caniac Combo meal. Six tenders, slaw, fries and Texas toast. Extra toast. Then things got out of hand. We ordered a cup (yes, a cup) of Cane's Sauce. $5. Worth it. No regrets. Even tho the place was packed, the service was quick. While the restaurant wasn't necessarily noisy, one dip of a chicken tender in the cup of sauce and every sound melted away. Just two people with their Caniac meals and a cup of Heaven. The chicken was piping hot, as were the fries, the slaw is always great... but we added some Cane's Sauce to it and took it to another level. The tenders were large as were the portions of fries. Spouse couldn't finish the fries. They didn't skimp at all. We walked out with stomachs full. And plenty of Cane's Sauce left to enjoy at home. Definitely recommend.
