Dropped by the Kingman location yesterday. The first thing you notice when you walk in is that the employees all have a rugged, mountain‑man look -- long beards and all -- but they were genuinely friendly and got our order out quickly. We ordered a couple of two‑piece meals and fries to take home. The fries were fine, but the chicken tasted old from the very first bite. Nothing ruins a meal faster. We've had much better experiences at the Bullhead City location, so this was disappointing. The Kingman store did several things right -- polite employees, fast service, clean front area -- but when the food itself tastes old, none of the positives matter. We came at 6:30pm on a Thursday. The lady at the front could not have been more annoyed at how busy they were. She was loud and took forever with everything. There were plenty of staff but they also have one speed... SLOW. They had over 8 people waiting and there was chicken backing up on the racks with no one moving any faster. This seems to be a "reduced" version of Popeyes in a TA travel center. Not the full menu? Or possibly an equipment Problem? But the chicken was excellent as I'm used to, only the French fries were a little old. Because I ordered 24 wings they were cooked "to order" instead of pulled from the rack. The service was OK. It was clean, but the table I sat at while waiting for my takeout order had crumbs on it and the chair. This is a truck stop, so no "ambiance" to talk about. read more

One of the BEST Popeyes I have been to. The reason it was such a good experience was because of the manager (maybe) had excellent service and such a friendly people person. He was the white dude with a goatee. I would come here just to interact with him. I wish all people were so happy go lucky friendly!! I give this Popeyes a lot of slack due to it being the only Popeyes in town, and I am a frequent customer of Popeyes due to the food being good; but this store needs some help. I really don't understand how orders are made and not even checked if they have everything and then sent out. This is my third time ordering food from the Kingman location, and not having food I paid for. I would expect some QC when preparing orders since it's the only Popeyes in Kingman but obviously not. Stopped here on my way back from a work conference in Vegas. I stopped at the TA to get gas and an energy drink, and figured the Popeyes would probably be better than roller grill food. I wish I knew how wrong I was. Service was alright, no complaints there, however the morning after eating a chicken sandwich from this location, I am experiencing the worst food poisoning of my life. I went at about 10:10pm (they close at 11pm) craving mashed potatoes and gravy however the only things they had left were chicken, biscuits, and red beans and rice. I still got chicken and the only available side. The food was good the cashier was friendly I suggest if you go late to be prepared for an adjusted order as they probably won't have the full menu available. read more

The food could have been fresher, hotter. Our order was incorrect on a couple different items. Staff was very polite to the customers. There was a manager yelling at her staff in a condescending way. Sometimes you can never go wrong with Popeyes. We stopped here on our way all the time coming from Vegas to Kingman. Ordered a 10 piece meal with Red beans and rice,. Order took 20 minutes. Order was wrong. Soda machine was broke, only 2 items available. Cups given out without any explanation. Napkins, straws, et cetera were empty mostly and dirty. I was in New Orleans, LA and a great friend of my took me to Popeye's. Upon return to Kingman, AZ. I wanted my husband to try the chicken because I could not believe how good in was while I was in Louisiana. We order from the Kingman Popeye's and I was horrified!!! The chicken must have been sitting for hours it was so dry and nasty tasting and the large sides they charge you for are the size of a KFC gravy. Unbelievable!! Me and my wife went to the store in Kingman A.Z at a truck stop This had to be the worst experience ever. I waited 20 minutes for someone to take my order and then had to waited another 1 hour for the order And when I got home all the food was not there.It was about 6:45 pm and don't leave unit about 8:00 pm. The manger or the shift lead had no clue what he was doing. He spent more time on his phone then taking orders They had nothing ready. The cook was just sitting back there not doing anything. Since it's impossible to leave 10 stars, I'm leaving five. Not sure where to begin. My friend and I saw a sign off 93 bragging about Popeye's. It was late. We were hungry. We were headed to Phoenix. The one the aign bragged about had been REPLACED by Carl's Jr, to our dismay. Depressed and deflated, we drove around and by the grace of God found this Popeye's inside the TA. We went in and were greated warmly! Not the kind of welcome youd expect when it's NYE at 9.07pm. They took our order, we went to sit down, and a gentleman brought our meals out to us, condiments and everything. I didn't get his name. He was a young guy, and he was very polite to everyone. He brings out our food. AND then some. They had some extras, and I'm guessing he could sense we were weary travelers so he brought us some mashed potatoes as well. There was also some chicken left over, he said, so he also brought that out to us. PLUS extra fries! It was one of those situations where the cup runneth over, and it was so much that we ended up with that we couldnt finish it all. I'm from Savannah, GA, where I THOUGHT I knew what hospitality was. Here we are in the desert in the middle of nowhere on NYE and my paradigm is shifting. We were blown away at the kindness of the individual who served us. The food was great, the service was awesome. AND to top it off they had hawaiian punch. I wish i could say I'm going back, but God forbid I ever find myself on highway 93 again. Only Popeyes in Kingman AFAIK, and it's a little counter tucked away in a TA truck stop ... well, Kingman is a WIP. The combos seem inflated a bit (is $9-10 for a combo meal normal for Popeyes?) but they do have specials for $7. They're on the very slow rotating digital sign on the right so you might not notice them if you aren't in line for a minute. I'm sure this stuff changes over time but when I came through they had a couple of pretty good $7 combos with a drink. Service is very good here too. read more

We ordered two chicken sandwiches. We waited for over 20 minutes for them to tell us they were out. They were not even busy. The manager, who wasn't visible during the 20+ minute wait, came out to refund our purchase, and she seemed confused and took another 5 minutes to process a simple refund. About 30 minutes of waiting only to leave with no food, and a sour taste in my mouth. It's unfortunate, because we love Popeye's and this is the only one in the area. Popeyes is usually pretty good, but this one is an absolute place to avoid. You have homeless bugging you for money when you walk up. There are lot lizards in the parking lot that will bother you. The prices are over 50% more than other Popeyes. If you complain after you pay for the expensive food that is cold and raw chicken you get an attitude from the staff!
