So I have been there for awhile, but today I had offered a friend a meal. He chose Popeye's and man, what a complicated experience using the drive thru. I myself normally go inside to order, but we were pressed for time. It would have been fast inside to get our orders and it would have been correct. Service is getting worse. I normally don't use the drive thru though a friend was driving so there wasn't a choice to. Today proves to why I rather go inside to order. The lady working the drive needs to listen, get a hearing aid or layoff the herb while working.. Having to repeat what we ordered more three times is mind boggling. My friend also asked what comes with the combo and she never him. My order was 2 ghost pepper chicken sandwiches with no pickles. even though I receive the regular plain chicken sandwiches. I immediately knew when I sank my teeth into the sandwich and it wasn't spicy at all. My friend requested a 5 piece combo and it took him a while because he didn't know what it comes with it. That when I saw frustration from him. It get worse when she repeated our order and somehow my chicken sandwiches only turned into two chicken sandwich combos which was never said. It wasn't busy. We were the only one in the drive thru and just 3 other vehicles on the premises so we can rule that out. I don't know how our order received extra steps and having to repeat ourselves several times of the 2 sandwiches are just sandwiches. Hello, I don't write to many reviews on here, but we had a terrible experience at Popeyes in Cicero/North Syracuse on 1/8/23. Took over 20 minutes to receive our food and when we got the food it was barely cooked and luke warm at best. They forgot all the sauces we asked for, after originally ordering our food through the drive thru they said it would take 6 mins to complete the spicy tender meal we ordered which was fine(also I couldn't get a receipt because they told me they printer doesn't work and only prints when it wants too)They told us to pull into the parking lot and wait-after 12 minutes I pulled around agin in the drive thru and asked where our food was. They said it's almost out, so I asked if I could want in the drive thru at the window and was told no because it would "run up their time". Very bad experience. Probably not going there again for a long long time if ever. read more

Do NOT bother coming to Popeyes on route 11. My husband and I tried to get dinner here tonight, and experienced the most epic failure of food service in all of history. We went through the drive-thru and asked for a 3-piece tenders combo with fries and a diet Coke (for me), were asked what kind of sauce. Asked for buttermilk ranch, told no, they only have blackened ranch. Whatever, thats fine. Husband asks for a 12-piece boneless wings. Told no, they only have 9 left (it's an hour and 15 minutes before they close at this point). Husband says fine, he'll do a 6 piece with fries and a Dr. Pepper. He asks me if I want an apple pie, I say sure, he asks for 2 pies. Told that will be a 7-8 minute wait. Whatever, we have nowhere to be. We get to the window to pay and we're given a Dr. Pepper and somehow an orange soda (?). Don't care enough to make a big deal out of it. We're told to pull around and wait in the parking lot, which we expected as there was going to be a wait on our pies. We waited for about 15 minutes before my husband decides to go inside to see what the hold up is. He said he was here for his order because he'd been waiting on two pies, after which they handed him a bag with two pies. He said no, he hadn't gotten any of his food yet. He said he had an order with tenders and boneless wings, and they basically accused him of lying. Said there was no order for boneless wings, and asked to see his receipt. He came back to the car to obtain said receipt, and brought it back in. They read it, walked away, and told a cook to make the food. The person who was supposed to be cooking walked around aimlessly for 10 minutes, then handed my husband a bag with the boneless wings. He said he also had a 3 piece tenders and 2 orders of fries, which he then put together and gave my husband. This has, at this point, been a 45 minute trip to Popeyes. We drive home, and when we open the bag, realize that there is no blackened ranch, and, hilariously, no apple pies. Which we were waiting on in the first place. And paid for. Bye Popeyes, you're a pile of shit. read more

I did it! I went and tried one of Popeyes chicken sandwiches. First appearances it's big, the bun doesn't crumble apart, just a tiny dab of mayo, 2 large slices of a really big pickle that were really good on their own. The chicken was crunchy not soggy tasted really good not at all dry. My only complaint is that it's too big. Threw half of it out. Tried their new Cajun Flounder Sandwich today, and it was very satisfying. It was a big sandwich compared to the rest of the fish sandwiches in the fast food arena. The tartar sauce and pickles really added to the experience. And the frying on it was crunchy but not too crunchy. My wife got the spicy chicken sandwich (which she had gotten before), and it was just as good as before. Plus, the fries just have this great spice on them and they were more numerous than we ordered. We don't order fast food much, but when we do, Popeyes does a great job satisfying. read more

My family loves their chicken and popcorn shrimp. So much tastier than KFC. I don't love their sides, but the protein is what keeps me going back. Glad they have this location vs. the just having the one at the big mall. Then they added one on Erie Blvd but that's too far for us. Drive-thru is pretty fast. Have gone there several times to get their famous chicken sandwich. The sandwich is pretty good but service is awful to say the least. A few moments later she turned back towards us and told us they were closing soon and they already threw out all the food for the day. She then said she would refund us. I've been there twice. Not sure why I went back the second time. There is a language barrier with all the employees. But the bad part is that they get rude and defensive when they can't understand the English that is being spoken to them. The building itself is freezing cold. I ate quickly just to get out of the cold seat. And, both times I went the portions are smaller than other locations. Specifically the mashed potatoes container was barely half full. Was this a mistake (twice) or them trying to pinch pennies? I think it was intentional based on them keeping the heat off too. I won't go back to this location. Every time I come to this restaurant, the employees are friendly and efficient. The food is hot and fresh, and I've never run into any issues.
