Awesome oysters, tough parking. I actually circled this area and nearby paid parking lots for about 20 minutes before giving up and parking at the Union Street Plaza Garage, which is about a 12 min walk, it was worth it! Clam Chowder 8/10: Honestly a really solid clam chowder, i feel like a lot of seafood places have mid chowders but i enjoyed this one! Oysters 12 for $48 9/10: Super fresh, great chimi-style mignonette, and shucked pretty well, only one small shard found. Golden Nugget 4, Pinkertons Loot 4, Sunset 4. All were good but Pinkerton's stood out as more briny and refreshing. Grilled Oysters 9/10: Probably some of the best grilled oysters i've had in a while, but pricey for sure, you get 2 for around $13 or something. Can't remember exact price. Crab cakes 8.5/10: Really yummy, near perfect but portions felt like they could've been bigger at this price point. Service was solid, started off strong but once they got busier it was tough to flag down staff, could've been partly due to the bar seating

The oysters were delicious, but we waited more than 40 minutes for them. When they finally arrived, my friend's oysters were missing, so we had to wait even longer for her order to be brought out. We also ordered clam chowder without bacon, and they told us that would be fine. However, after waiting 20 minutes, they came back and told us they couldn't make it without bacon.

This is a cute tiny little restaurant with tiny little tables inside. I think next time I would sit outside but it wasn't uncomfortable inside just a little loud for my taste. Ok the deviled eggs were perfect. The smoked salmon on them was really fun & kicked them up a notch. & the clam chowder was perfection! So creamy & tasty! 100% would come back here for the deviled eggs & the clam chowder. The whole roasted crab had garlic, herbs & capers on it. Sounded & looked like the crab would be very flavorful but honestly it just wasn't. It was pretty lackluster. It lacked that seafoodie goodness. We would not order this again. Overall a nice small spot with some tasty food for not a bad price either.

Stopped by for happy hour on a Wednesday and ordered exclusively from the happy hour menu: two glasses of wine, steamed mussels, and a dozen oysters. The highlight were the oysters as they were so fresh!

I'm actually very displeased with this establishment. I came here for the Chase Sapphire Preferred X Infatuation promotion (Spend $150 at a participating restaurant and get $75 credit back). Given the price point, I probably would not have come here, had it not been for this promotion. For 3 people, we ended up spending ~$130 and I tipped the rest to hit the $150 minimum in order to get the credit back. However, the restaurant put 149.04 as the grand total after tip. Why? I have absolutely no idea. Why would they short themselves of a bigger tip? Either way, I didn't end up getting the credit back from Chase because I needed the merchant to send me a copy of the receipt (the one that I KNOW I wrote $150 on) Lo and behold, this restaurant does not accept phone calls and they do not respond to their emails. On top of that, the food is not great either. Nothing here impressed me. They ran out of clam chowder, which I was most excited for, by the time I was seated. Their outdoor seating is practically in the middle of the sidewalk. The burger was so so lame. I really have no good things to say.

Walked in on Friday around 5 and there was no wait. I wasn't sure which oysters to try so the server recommended the local ones and both were good! We also had bread and the steamed Manila clams. I'd pass on the bread next time because our clams entree came with two slices of bread. The Manila clams were decent but I'd like to try something else next time. Ambiance inside is cute for catching up with a friend.

I came here yesterday in a group of 6 in search of some oysters, and the oysters were honestly my favorite. They were super fresh and tasty. However, I do think this place is overrated for the prices. I ordered the fish and chips which were a bit bland and a small portion for the price. I also tried their clam chowder which would not recommend since it was so watery and not flavorful imo. The guy who sat us down was also being weird about seating us inside and wanted to sit us outside in the rain. I suggested we can take the two separate tables inside and it would be fine if we split up, but he didn't seem to want to accommodate us. It wasn't the most friendly service at first, but once we ended up sitting inside our actual server was great. Overall, the service and food was just okay to me. I'd recommend coming here for happy hour

This ended up being a great stop after a stroll along Chrissy Field. The Marina area is a nice place to wander around, lots of people walking, biking and running along the water, or just hanging out. We grabbed a mix of oysters and they had a pretty decent variety. The Kumamoto definitely stood out, clean, sweet, and creamy. Food was good and service was attentive. The space itself is bright with a casual vibe. It feels lively but still relaxed. They have outdoor seating, which is perfect on a nice day, especially if you just came from walking along the water and want to keep soaking up the sun a bit longer.

Popi's Oysterette provided solid food, great service, and excellent on-street atmosphere. They are family friendly to boot! We visited for lunch and ordered the cioppino, fish and chips and Manila clam pasta. All the dishes were good but nothing stood out as game changing. If I had to comment about 1 thing, I felt the clam pasta was a bit too salty to my liking. It was a lovely day for outdoor dining and people watching on Chestnut St. This was the highlight of the experience. If you're in the area and have a hankering for seafood, give them a try!

Nice for happy hour! Came here on a friday afternoon, no reservation- was a bit crowded but we were able to be easily seated as a party of 2. Because it was happy hour, we focused on that menu, but they gave us their specials and standard menus as well. We ordered half a dozen oysters, mussels, and fries, plus a rose and espresso martini. I thought the fries and drinks were the best parts. I was really excited for the oysters, but they were honestly way too fishy with a bad after taste. I'm glad we only got half a dozen rather than a full dozen. The mussels were a lot better than the oysters, though a little small and some of the mussels in the bowl lost their meat (so it was just the hard shell taking up space). The rose and espresso martini drinks were good - the espresso martini came in a simple cup, not a martini glass, which was a little strange, but the drink itself was great. The fries were solidly delicious. Overall, I think I would come back here for happy hour to grab a bite and drink with friends. I don't think I would get oysters again, but other things on their menu make up for it.

Cute spot to stop for lunch if you are exploring around the area. We came by on a Monday afternoon and got seated right away. Shared a dozen oysters, the Dungeness crab roll, and the Manila clams with pasta. The Kumamoto oysters were easily my favorite, super fresh, creamy, and a little sweet. The clams and pasta were light and really flavorful, and the bread was perfect for soaking up all the sauce. The crab roll was just okay, not a ton of crab and a lot of lettuce taking up space. Honestly, the fries were the highlight of that dish. They reminded me of McDonalds fries, light and crispy on the outside with a soft inside. They also have happy hour deals, but we got there a little too early to catch them.

nice spot to sit outside on a sunny day. mussel and frites were my favorite. portion size is okay but for the price, wish it was a bit more. their oysters were fresh but there was one (maybe the ones from Washington) that was the best

Such a lovely little date night spot in the Marina! We came here for a cozy night out and were really impressed. The oysters were fresh and briny, the clam chowder was rich and comforting without being heavy, and the pasta was genuinely incredible. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and well balanced. The space is intimate and charming, perfect for an easy, relaxed date night. Great food, warm atmosphere, and a neighborhood feel that makes you want to linger a bit longer. Would absolutely come back for another date night!

The super tinted windows and vintage but chic furniture gave the vibes of speakeasy mixed with record store. The prices were also pretty reasonable, at par with other bars in the SF area. I love whiskey sours and espresso martinis so my favorite drinks were the Arlequin and the Gospel. The Arlequin had a perfectly smooth picturesque egg white foam tinted pink with huckleberries. It was a great balance of tart and sweet, and the berry notes complemented the light oak flavors of the scotch. The Gospel was like a classic espresso martini but with more complexities. The orange and ginger added floral notes and the drink was super smooth. The food was also amazing. We didn't order much since we were planning to eat dinner elsewhere, but I wish we ordered more. The stroop waffles were insanely good. It's a savory stroop waffle filled with tuna tartare that was deeply savory with sesame and chive flavor. The smoked crème fraiche emphasized the savoriness and added a richness. The yuzu glaze tied everything together with a light sweet and tart flavor.

I would recommend but if you are looking for a place to chit chat and play cards with friends you are much better off going elsewhere. I don't think I will be coming back again after this experience.

I think there are lots of better wine bars to choose from in the area. My two main gripes lay with the ambience of the place - if you don't get a table the bar seating is quite squished, and the fact that after dropping $170 on two bottles of wine we were quickly escorted out the moment we were finished to make room for potential customers. I totally understand doing this if it was a packed house, but there wasn't a single person waiting, left a sour taste in my mouth and feel like if you are spending a pretty penny on service you should be able to enjoy the establishment a little bit after you have finished your drinks. Maybe we caught them on an off night, I see a lot of potential still.
