pastrami, egg and cheese
Hailey J.

~ food: signature tuna: 10/10 love the tuna and cream cheese on the bagel. filled well and bagel is very soft pastrami, egg and cheese: 7/10 veryyy salty. if it wasn't so salty and had more inside toppings then it would've been a solid bagel ~ parking: limited street parking

Cinnamon raisin with lox spread. Amazing at other places... not here.
Ari R.

I used to think Pops was pretty good. But today I realized they are nothing special. I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with lox spread. I always get this at Hank's. When I took a bite I noticed a glaring difference. The cinnamon raisin was not vibrant and there was hardly any lox in the lock spread. It just tasted and looked like regular cream cheese. The bagel also lacked chewiness. I probably won't return because I realize now how inferior these bagels are.

Another lesson in driveby kindness: The smallest kindness is always rewarded even though it's the kindness itself that is the reward. After I picked up my mail at my BH office, I went to Pops Bagels across the street from my office. A young Latino man behind the counter asked what I wanted. I told him I wanted one gluten-free everything bagel and one sesame bagel. He told me that he only had sesame and plain. I threw my head down on the counter and said that all I wanted was a simple request and now my day is ruined. I exclaimed how can life be so difficult at times. He laughed, and I proceeded to tell him that I used to own a restaurant and I'm gluten intolerant so life is not fair but I write restaurant reviews and in all my restaurant hunting I have never found a restaurant with the name, mother, mama, or Madre in its name that wasn't excellent. I told him my theory is that one would never want to besmirch their mother's name by putting mother in the name of the restaurant and serving lousy food. However, I said the same did not apply to father, dad or pop as exemplified by the fact that I've been denied my choice of bagels. He was silent for a minute and he said you know you're right, every restaurant I've been to with Madre in the name has been really good. I said see. We laughed and he went and got me what I ordered which was two sesame bagels, but when he handed me the bag, he said I gave you an extra on the house. These are the best GF bagel's: soft inside, chewy, toast beautifully, large and as regular tasting as I remember before I was diagnosed Celiac.

As I was walking around Beverly Hills early in the morning, I needed something to nourish my tummy, so I popped in for a bagel or two. I ordered an everything bagel and an onion bagel with salmon smear. I was quite pleased with the bagel quality and size. The salmon spread was good but not out of this world. Of course, I might be a tough judge as I have had some of the best bagels and smears in the world on the east coast. Bagels cost at least 2.50 a piece. Specialty bagels are more. The salmon smear is a bit pricy- 6 dollars for the smear along- may be best to get a side order of smear if they sell them. I did not see that on their menu. The inside space is small but seemed liked most people take their food to go- well at least at 7am in the morning when they opened. The atmosphere was clean and comfy. The service provided early in the morning was friendly. The lady was very patient and kind.

Nova lox on everything
Gab G.

Came on a weekday morning and there was no line; got the nova lox on everything. The bagel itself did not impress this New Yorker - it was a little hard and could have been more flavorful - but props for great lox and amazing tomato. And for serving it open-faced. As for the eternal "bagels are better in NYC" argument... Gotta be the water, right?

I'm on a determined quest to find the best bagels in Los Angeles and @popsbagelsla is top of my list! Nothing beats the Nova Lox sandwich, with the onion bagel was incredible! The merch and workers are the sweetest, I will be wearing this adorable sweatshirt in cozy season. I'm going to meticulously list off all the schemer flavors so you can be impressed by the variety: scallion, jalapeño, vegan, lox, strawberry, lemony, plain, butter, and tuna. A magical spot with $12 incredible breakfast burritos and the best matcha latte. Don't forget the cookies!

Everything bagel! Completely covered in seasoning that stays on the bagel not the plate or napkin!

Cute little shop in the middle of the bustle of Beverly Hills! The woman was extremely nice and the bagels are outstanding! The everything bagel is the best I've ever had! The coffee was delicious! The bagels are perfect! Fluffy and just the right chewy mouth feel, of and they're big! I usually toast my bagel, I tried half toasted and half not and got the first time I decided these are so good they don't need to be toasted!!!! I arrived early to pick up my bagels and was surprised at how wonderfully I was treated! This is my new go to bagel place!

Fast & friendly service. Yummy bagel. I ordered the Bacon, avocado & cream cheese on a plain bagel. The bagel was toasted to a crispy perfection and tasty. On the more expensive side but then again what isn't these days!

I got two cookies from Pops Bagels. White chocolate macadamia & chocolate chip cookies were so freaking delicious. The service was great and convenient. This is a great spot for a quick snack providing a pleasant ambiance.

Vegan bagel

They have vegan cream cheese here thankfully. The bagel was delicious. I made my own with veggies and vegan spread and toasted, it came out so good! Service was friendly and fast. Definitely will come again.

I love this place! Bagels are soft and the service is wonderful.

Give it a try, you'll see the difference for sure. They offer gluten free as well. The place is cute and the people have always been nice.

From the moment you walk in, it's clear this place has built a loyal following for a reason. I ordered the breakfast bagel sandwich loaded with eggs, crispy bacon, ham, hash browns, and cheese on one of their signature bagels. Every bite was packed with flavor. The bagel had that perfect balance of a chewy interior and a lightly crisp exterior, while the ingredients tasted fresh and generously portioned. It's definitely a breakfast you'll stay full on for hours. We also tried another breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, and it was just as impressive. The eggs were fluffy, the bagel was fresh, and the combination of flavors was simple but incredibly satisfying. To wash it all down, we grabbed an iced coffee, which was smooth, bold, and exactly what you want to kick off the morning. The restaurant itself is bright, clean, and modern, with friendly staff that keep the line moving without sacrificing service. Even during a busy breakfast rush, everything came out quickly and made to order. In a city full of breakfast spots, Beverly Hills Bagel stands out by focusing on the basics and doing them exceptionally well. Fresh bagels, quality ingredients, generous portions, and friendly service--it's hard to ask for more. Pro tip: Go hungry. The breakfast bagel sandwiches are huge, and the everything bagel is a great choice. Pair it with an iced coffee, and you've got one of the best breakfast combinations in Los Angeles. Five stars!

We had just gotten off our cruise to Mexico and we're looking for a quick breakfast before heading…read moreto the Getty Museum for a few hours. Not living in LA means YELP is our go to especially since we must find a place that offers gluten free options for the little. I came across this place on the yelp search and it claimed 100 percent gluten free and for that I was intrigued and extremely thankful. This location was in Beverly Hills, parking was easy(we found street, metered parking) not a lot of traffic for it being a Saturday morning but we were new to that area so I cant say what the norm is. When we walked in the bakery was busy with happy customers, amd we were immediately greeted by a couple of the most genuinely nice people of whom I assume are the owners (sorry I forgot to ask). Usually when walking into a bakery that has gluten free options my daughter always looks to me.to see what she can have and from that she willl make a couple or selections, all of which is extremely limited. This time I was able to tell her she could choose anything. Thw way her eyes lit up when she saw the glazed donut, it makes a mom heart want to cry when she gets to experience something so normal as a glazed donut but in this case a glazed donut on a whole other culinary level( so amazingly delicious). She told the gluten free genius helping her that she had never had a glazed donut and he packaged it up on the house. Hannah then proceeded to order as many things from the case as I would allow for the moment. She just wanted to try all the things she had never been able to before. I did have to promise we would be back to buy more the next time we come to LA. She settled on most of the sweets although this bakery has bagels and sourdough bread. Shes not much of a bread eater in general unless its smothered with Nutella so next time we will try the breads. So back to the experience, we sat down and she tried a bite or 2 of everything and LOVED IT ALL!! The glazed donut met all of her expectations and blew her mind. Coming in to second place was the Oreo babka and the croissant. Before leaving Hannah went to thank them and tell them she loved it, she was then given a second item to try(the chocolate croissant). We took it to go and she tried it in the car on the way to the Getty, she was in pure food bliss. Thank you for creating a bakery for the adults and the littles that is safe and delicious. But most importantly thank you for treating my daughter with the utmost respect and genuine kindness you dont find just anywhere. We WILL be back soon.
