    The MIA, laika, pre-jam
    Melanie M.

I was visiting my friend in the area and read great reviews of this place. I'm glad I read the reviews on here about parking because there's a garage across the street that has free parking for 2 hrs which is hard to find in LA! We came on a Saturday morning around 11am and waited about 10 minutes to order. People are always coming and going so it wasn't hard to get a table even though it was packed. We got The MIA, laika & pre-jam. Everything was so delicious! I'd come back again and try other bagels!

My expectations were definitely not met. I was so excited to try their bagels due to the great reviews. I ordered The Laika whole. The smoked salmon came in a generous portion, the cream was good and the pickled onion and capers were fresh. The Everything bagel was the problem, it was very hard to chew, close to being rubbery. It was disappointing. My cappuccino was good but the Matcha drinks we had were very milk down, I can't taste the Matcha at all. We were so surprised while we were eating, the queue went all the way the sidewalk. Metered parking spots are available.

Best bagel sandwiches in town. Love the open face mix and match option. As someone who is indecisive between choosing something savory or sweet this order option allows me the freedom to order both without committing to two full orders that would later need to be taken home. Here's what we tried...(all sandwiches come with your choice of bagel) 1. The Pre-Jam: plain bagel with cream cheese, fresh fruit (fresh fresh strawberries and nectarines), and drizzled with honey. Yummmm. Highly recommend for your sweets. 2. The Scarlett: everything bagel with a soft layer of cream cheese, beautiful emerald green heirloom tomato slices (crunchy and fresh), garnished with red chili flakes, and lemon zest (gives a slight hint of lime). Phenomenal...OMG. Coming back for this again soon. 3. Sammie's Egg Sammy: everything bagel with layer of chermoula, arugula, cheddar, and a thick layer of warm scrambled eggs. Fantastic. A must order! 4. Yuzu Espresso Tonic: espresso with yuzu tonic to add a citrusy and sweetness to the drink. Not bad. Never had anything like it. 5. Strawberry matcha with almond milk: classic matcha latte with strawberry flavoring. Wish they would have used fresh strawberries. Not my fav but the bagels/sandwiches made me a big fan. Glad they're close Love this place . Will be my regular place moving forward.

    Laika and everything bagel

I love bagels so I was excited to try Layla. The line was long but moved at a good pace. I had a half Laika and half everything with schmear. The everything with schmear was very plain. The bagel was flavorless and the cream cheese was very mild. It wasn't a good bagel I think Layla bagels is less of a bagel shop and more of a sandwich shop. The Laika was amazing. Fresh toppings that are flavorful and aesthetic. The toppings are the star here while the bagel and spread are supporting. As a bagel lover, that's a bit disappointing but still really enjoyed my open faced sandwich.

I went into Layla Bagel expecting the pizza bagel to be kind of dry based on the photos... but wow, I was completely wrong. It was insanely flavorful and way better than I expected. The Laika bagel was also a standout--super well loaded with a great balance of flavors in every bite. And the passionfruit matcha was really unique and interesting, something different from the usual drinks you see. I'm not even a big bagel person, but this place definitely changed my mind!

Half open face of the tomato one. I added egg onto mine. It was actually so extremely filling which I didn't expect. But it was also so extremely MESSY!!!! The drink was also delicious, highly recommend. They have some solid options, will def return. Seating wasn't too bad but there was a lot of people there. Got food within 10-15 mins not a long wait

Bagels are one of the most popular food trends going on rn & in LA there are TONS of options. Layla just doesn't stick out to me. The location is great, sitting in the heart of beverly hills, but the drinks & bagels are just average.

Tried the Laika bagel at Layla Bagels & Coffee and honestly, I've had softer hockey pucks. The bagel was harder than finding parking, and somehow also soaked in enough oil to qualify as a minor environmental hazard. To be fair, the staff was incredibly friendly -- but I'm not really in the market for new best friends. I came for a bagel that wouldn't clog my arteries or require jaw surgery to eat. Overrated, overpriced, and over-oiled. I won't be coming back.

As someone with food sensitivities, finding a place that actually gets it right is rare and Layla Bagel absolutely does. This is one of the very few spots where I can enjoy a truly delicious gluten-free bagel without feeling like I'm compromising. The Scarlett is my absolute fav! Their gluten-free bagel options (I get the everything) with cashew cream cheese is seriously amazing. It doesn't feel like a "substitute" at all it's just straight-up good food. I finally get to have that classic bagel experience without feeling like I'm missing out, which I don't take for granted. On top of that, the service is always quick and efficient, even when they're busy, which says a lot. Overall, 10/10. I'm genuinely so grateful this place exists.

Cute little bagel shop that recently opened in Beverly hills. The bagels are super fresh and the menu very creative and unique. I also am obsessed with their unique coffee drinks. Currently loving their winter special iced cardamom latte (add cream top)! They have plenty of staff that are friendly and eager to help. It can get busy but they move fast. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating that makes it easy to enjoy your bagel, coffee without feeling rushed. There's also an area with cute paraphernalia, snacks and other items if you are in the mood to shop. Definitely check this new spot out!

    Salmon and Jam bagel
    Haolun L.

Salmon and jam both 8/10! The jam bagel might be a little too sweet to start the morning, so I probably will share the half with someone next time! A lot more accessible than courage bagel, shorter wait and shorter drive. Not worthy of waiting too long or a special drive but very solid neighborhood breakfast option.

If all tomatoes tasted as juicy and umami as the heirloom tomatoes on the Scarlett, I would be the hugest tomato fan. The Laika did not feel any different than a lox bagel I would make on my own, but the pre-jam with fig and pomegranate when I visited the first time was spectacular. Some of the flavor combinations I would not come up on my own, so I think part of what you're paying for is the creativity and the other part is the freshness. The bagels are very chewy overall. The toppings fall off easily (my dad and the person next to him learned this the hard way). Courage has more flavor but this feels more fresh. The line also moves significantly faster. They source their ingredients from the farmers market, so I'd recommend going for produce-based bagels.

Everything bagel was so delicious - perfectly chewy with a nice outer crunch. The Scarlette was perfectly seasoned, and the tomatoes were so fresh! I got a matcha latte with oat milk, it doesn't come sweetened. The matcha color looked like it would taste great but it mostly tasted milky, I wouldn't get another matcha here but the bagels were delicious!!

Overhyped and overpriced! The bagel was too chewy, and the overall sandwich was just ok

What is the parking situation like at Layla Bagels, Beverly Hills? Do they have a telephone number and can one order online for pickup? 🙏

We usually get there between 9:30-10am. For the most part, we always find parking (meter parking that is). Also, there's a parking lot right across the street. The first two hrs are free.

I went Sunday, and saw a bottleneck at Valet so I found plenty of parking a block south and on the side street. Valet was only $18 for the 2 hours we were there so not awful at all. This hotel is super elegant and walking into The Living Room was like that, walking into a living room. It was right there past the receptionist and with a glass back drop of the garden. We opted for the 2nd tier, Premium. It doesn't change the tea choice ( you only get 1) or the food, it's just whatever champagne or bubbles you prefer. And oh my god! That rose was fantastic! I am not a rose fan, but I see why this one was considered Premium. I choose the coconut creme tea, thinking it might he herbal, but I didn't ask. I was planning on my jacked on caffeine and sugar before the day was over. All the finger sandwiches were fabulous, I ate them all. My favorite was the salmon, chicken and egg salad. Although I also enjoyed the egg plant. I can't tell you all the desserts that I ate. I ate all of that too. I literally only left half of a scone and the scones were fabulous as well. They were soft and they were fresh and I don't think i've ever had a fresh scone before so game changer! The service was perfect! Someone is coming by to pour you more tea. Everyone was very nice and attentive. We had a lovely time! I highly recommend this place for afternoon tea with the gals!

The scones are my favorite and not dry at all, it's served with clotted cream, lemon curd, and a berry jam - absolutely delicious. There's a lot of tea choices to choose from that will cater to a variety of tastes. The ambiance is what sets this afternoon tea apart from the rest. There's a live harpist! The Living Room decor feels very posh, the plates and cups have pretty designs, and the set is served on a silver 3-tier stand. The service is also fantastic! They kept coming back to refill our tea.
