For some reason, it's actually quite hard to find a good small local bagel spot in LA. It's either big chains that don't have the soul, or crappy mom n pops that overcharge and don't have the quality control. Bagel Broker on Beverly is the only spot I've tried that has it all. Close to perfect bagel, texture flavor and cream cheese all excellent, with PLENTY of toppings as one would hope from a REAL bagel spot (poppy seed bagel completely coated in seeds, not sprinkled on pitifully in an attempt to save money.) They got great bagel variety, plenty of options for topping and sandwiches, and have the soul of a small local bagel spot that loves what they do and takes pride in their bagel. Super fresh bagels and so quick for online ordering. I got an everything bagel with cream cheese and added bacon and the bagel was pretty thick and tasted like it was just made that day. The bagel shop is pretty small (maybe two small tables built into the side to sit at) but it smells like lovely fresh baked bread. I ordered online and the system said it would take 30 minutes but I came in maybe 10 min after ordering and it was already done. If you order online and live close, I would just head over because they might have your order ready then. I ordered a basic jalepeno/cheddar based bagel with the jalapeno cream spread. This was Around $6.50 cents in 2026. Right off the back, I noticed the size of the bagel. It was smaller than expected. It was a little hardened too instead of bouncy/doughy -- my preference. The bagel had a few half-cut jalapenos, but it was imbedded a little too deep in the surface, when the bagel shouldn't be afraid to unleash those beauties and let it dazzle for all of us to see! This was a great bagel shop! They had a huge variety and the staff is super helpful with helping you choose all your flavors. If you buy six bagels, they give you a seventh for free and if you buy a dozen they give you an extra 2 bagels. We really liked all of the options with cheese on the top. The cinnamon raisin bagel is also really good. My favorite bagel was the poppyseed bagel. The parking lot is super small but there is street parking on the road next to the shop it was pretty busy inside. This review is long overdue. I have used bagel broker over a dozen times for catering at the office. I have also ran in for a personal breakfast and some family brunches delivered to the home. Every time they knock it out of the park everything is so fresh. Their vegetable platters are absolutely reasonable and cut to perfection. The fruit platters always are filled with ripe and tasty visually perfect fruit. Even at their busiest, they're all very helpful behind the counter, running around willing to help anyone and acknowledging you as you walk in the door. I can't recommend The enough. I ordered the (Black Forest) ham and swiss cheese sandwich with all the fixings (lettuce, tomato, purple onion, mayo, Mustard) served on a toasted jalapeño and cheese bagel, with a pickle spear, olives and a small container of potato salad on the side. Beating the lunch rush, I got my order quickly. I appreciated that they cut my sandwich in half and secured each half with a toothpick. It was so much easier for me to eat without having the sandwich fall apart. The sandwich and potato salad were delicious!
