My sexy bearded lover and I tried Pork on a Fork for the first time the other day. Everything we ordered was stellar, but to me, the baby back ribs were so extra I couldn't even stand myself. Picked up the food, went home and got settled. When we opened the tinfoil, we could hear trumpets playing. It was like the sun came out just for this special moment. The ribs were beautiful, steamy and exactly what you pictured matching that heavenly smell on the ride home. I moved the ribs a bit and the meat started falling off the bone, HELLO TENDER! Sometimes when you get food this good you just want to hover over it and call it your precious. Needless to say the baby back ribs were not only life changing, but they gave me that reminiscent feeling of being home as a child and of the family cook outs we use to have. Got an offer via Instagram, buy one get one free so my and hubby went for lunch today. We had the large Midwest monster (2). I had coleslaw and baked beans. Hubby had coleslaw and waffle fries. The sandwich had brisket and pork both of which were tender as all hell. It had a white cheese sauce and on the menu it said comes with slaw( ours didn't have any). And as you can see in the picture there was to much fat almost every bite had fat. I'm not a waffle fry person but these were little pillows of potato heaven. The baked beans were just alright to me a little on the dry side. Coleslaw was good. Let me stress that the meat was oh so tender and tasty. We would probably go back. Then we had the mac and cheese and beans on the side. To me, the meat was the best... the sides were good, but nothing special. I was really excited to try this place because I heard good reviews. I'm only really complaining about my meal. I got a half rack of ribs with two sides. When my family member went to pick up the food, a worker said they were out of ribs and would I like to sub it with a different meat. Then another worker came out and said that they did have some... okay. Anyway my other family members got the brisket with two sides, which they loved The ribs I got were over cooked, dry, and really tough. I only ate one my side of mac and cheese was okay but the mashed potatoes were extremely spicy I think there may have been too much black pepper. Long story short, I feel like those ribs were gonna get tossed or something and instead of doing so they sold them, I would've rather just got another brisket or pulled pork, if they knew the ribs weren't good. Not sure what has gone on here. I was a regular for many years but the last few times I've gone here the food quality service and overall appeal of the restaurant has gone down. Last time I was here I ordered the ribs they came out dry cold tiny and overall just not good. My sides were cold including my crispy fries. Very much a letdown for $15. Not sure since they have multiple locations if the owners or management has changed or just been slacking. The staff is kind of rude not attentive not knowledgeable on the types of meats and smoked Goods. It almost seems as you're doing them a favor for coming in and purchasing their food. So many new GREAT barbecue places have opened up in the valley that I do not think I will be hitting this spot anymore. Hopefully you guys will revert back to what you were and get your food quality and service back to where it was. read more

About six months ago we had a disappointing experience here and it was serious enough to post about. They followed up and the owner encouraged us to try them again. Well, about a week or so ago, we did try them again and everything was basically perfect! Staff was much nicer, and even went out of there way to be helpful and friendly. The food though, awesome! Brisket was melt in your mouth tender, perfect flavor, and had a gorgeous smoke ring. The pulled pork was about the best I've ever had. I've spent decades avoiding pork (bacon doesn't count, who doesn't love THAT?) until I first tried it at POAF years ago, and this was the best I've ever had there! It was just heaven. My son, who does NOT enjoy pulled pork even loved it and said he may want to order it next time. NEXT TIME, because we will definitely be back. This is a great place for BBQ . Authentic. Smoke flavor . Was informed they use pecan .i ordered the sampler plate With 3 Meats . It consisted of Brisket, pulled pork , chicken and sausage . 1st the brisket was very good flavorful and tender . The pulled pork was decent and had a good smoke flavor . Only complaint I have with it just. A little dry not much though . The chicken was not bad good decent flavor with a hint of smoke . I've never been a huge BBQ fan but I recently got in touch with an old friend I haven't talked to in years and he suggested we go here. I've only had the smoked sausage with sides of macaroni and cheese and waffle fries, both with seasoning. Immediately this has become one of my favorite meals. I took my wife there and she ordered the pulled pork sandwich which she really liked. She has asked me to pick it up on the way home from work. I've been to both the Deer Valley and Colonade locations. I also hear they are also at Talking Stick Arena (Phoenix Suns) and Gila River Arena (Arizona Coyotes). The Deer Valley location is a bit strange as it's in a business park and doesn't feel like it belongs there, being surrounded by warehouses. The Colonade location feels more like a normal restaurant but the parking sucks as it's next to Fry's Food and Drug and the parking spaces are really narrow. Regardless, the food is consistently good at both locations. I recommend you try it out. read more

We were greeted by 2 employees who were very nice, we ordered our food and took it back to a cafeteria style room in the back of the serving stations. It was clean, spacious and the TV's were not loud. I need to mention that we went on a Monday afternoon so not a lot of people were there eating. With sides of fingerling potatoes and coleslaw. Good'o boys meal I guess, but man the pork and soft and tender; add some spicy bbq and finger licking good -- YUMMY! Portions here are modest I think so you won't over eat in my opinion. The place itself started in modest fashion. Came here with the wife on a Saturday for lunch. This location is a little hard to find since it is not facing the street. Good thing they had those sailboat advertising thingies out on the road to help guide my stomach. Inside and out are pretty industrial. Lots of concrete and unfinished ceilings to look at while eating. The front section is very small with a tiny seating area. The back section is larger and set up with giant TVs and enough area for several families or large groups. Service was a little confusing. It seemed hard to get answers for what I was asking. Just had a few simple questions. Maybe it was a training day or something. We are not talking rocket science here. Then again it was my first time there also. Maybe I was the one confused. Ha! The wife wanted a 2 pc Combo Plate but they do not offer one. You have to order the Sampler Plate which is 3 Meats and make 2 of the 3 choices the same. What? I ordered the Midwest Monster Sandwich which was rather large and tasty. Both meals came with 2 choices of sides and there are 4 different sauces at the table as well. The food was pretty good but seemed a bit average for Q. The brisket which was the real test for me and seemed dry and not very tender. I would have to guess it may have sat in the warmer a little too long. The Pulled Pork was really good and we saw several other people ordering the Bone in Chicken. Overall they have pretty good food. Still looking for some real TX BBQ or something similar without all the sauces to cover up the flavor of the smoked meats. My side of potato salad was missing and I was bummed because I love potato salad but oh well! It wasn't that big of a deal. But the rest of the food was unimpressive.
