I live in California now, but I would recommend Caldwell County to anyone in Arizona, especially people in the East Valley who somehow have not tried it yet. This is genuinely some of the best barbecue I have had. The meats are flavorful, the portions are satisfying, and the jalapeño cheddar sausage has just the right amount of heat without overpowering everything else. It is the kind of food that sticks in your memory long after you leave. Honestly, if I lived close to the Power Road location, I would have a very difficult time staying away. Absolutely worth a visit.

Pork on a Fork has new hours, open till 6 pm m-thurs, and 7 pm on Friday. I continue to believe they have the best bbq in the city and last night proved my point. They have a new menu featuring Smoked Prime Rib, Baby Back Ribs, and Smoked Salmon. My Step mom had the pulled pork sandwich which was of course excellent. My Father had the prime rib that equaled any prime rib you will get anywhere in this city. But the Ribs were some of the best ribs I have ever had. They were fresh, they were very meaty, they were smoked perfect, and I could not, as hard as I tried to keep the meat on the bone, (I like that instinct to bite my meat off the bone) it just fell off. This is it!! I found it! Unbelievable, just insanely awesome in every way. I walk in and the place wreaks of delicious smokey meat and Muddy Waters is playing on the radio. My kind of place! Great prices, great service. Ridiculous food. As soon as I saw and smelled the pulled pork I ordered a pound of it. I ate it all too, couldn't stop eating it. Best pulled pork I've had so far, and I've been to many local BBQ joints around the valley. First time here and the prices were great! I had the Midwestern monster with brisket, pulled pork, jalapeño, a creamy queso and coleslaw (I don't even like coleslaw and I loved this stuff as soon as I tasted it) they also played some awesome blues music in the dining area which was clean and nice. I loved the atmosphere of the dining area which had tables and booths with three nice televisions playing various sports games. Staff was nice and helpful too! Hands down the best BBQ in the valley. You can't go wrong getting the sampler with your choice of 3 meets. I come in at least once a week, sometimes more. One of the best things about Pork on a Fork is the family friendly atmosphere. The staff is friendlt, especially the tall guy who busses the tables. He's the nicest guy you'd ever meet. He always tells people as they're leaving 'leave the plates on the table, that's my job security.' Overall, no complaints. The food is worth every penny and more. This place is awesome! Took my wife and she is very picky. We had the Ribs, Brisket, baked beans and the coleslaw. The ribs were juicy and fell off of the bone. Some places over power you with the smoke flavor but not these. Brisket was tender and delicious. Loved the Baked Beans and slaw. They gave you choices of BBQ Sauce so I got the spicy and she was happy with the mild. Can't wait to go again. I have gone in with BBQ cravings several times and always come out more than satisfied,the brisket is my favorite and its always moist and juicy. The sauces are outstanding especially Crazy Js its just delicious. It's fun to try the different sauces or just taste the natural flavor of excellent juicy pulled pork. They sell the sauces so you can have it on hand at home. We shared the BBQ Brisket Sandwich with added corn and an added grilled poblano pepper. This was a giant pile that you need to eat with a knife and fork. But they don't get the 5 stars for generous portions. They get the 5 stars for taste. This started off on a very tasty bun that was baked with cheddar cheese and jalapeno peppers IN THE BUN. The smoked brisket was so flavorful and so tender and was a perfect mix of lean and fatty. That really delicious fire roasted poblano was the perfect delicious embellishment to the sandwich. Including my favorite draft Big Blue Van. Brisket and pork both had pretty good flavor. Cabbage in the slaw was fresh. Cons: All proteins were cold. Like not even warm. Coleslaw even though the menu specified cilantro and jalapeño I only tasted raw Cabbage . Ribs weren't tender. I know they should have bite but mine was tough with a artificial smoke taste. Brisket was shredded not sliced. Service. Bartender was nice and personable but I sat for 10 minutes with a empty and she never asked if I wanted another even though the place wasn't busy. Bar itself is a sh!t hole no points taken off because they are remodeling. Overall the meal as a whole was meh! Decently priced but...I'm not sure if it was worth the trip.
