BBQ grill with meat and cheesy corn and mushroom

I'm not supposed to be eating fatty pork but this place is sooo good that had to come here. It's really for pork belly BBQ lovers only but for those it is like heaven. You get so many side dishes a Banchan, including spicy bean sprouts, onions, kimchi, also ttokbokki and tofu soup. Plus you get cheesy corn. However, only the basic Banchan, pork, and rice is included in the all you can eat. The pork belly is delish and comes with multiple dipping sauces. Goes well with everything else. Oh, you also get lettuce so you can wrap everything. They give you scissors to easily cut pieces. For the best in all you can eat pork belly Korean BBQ this is the place!

Looks like Sooda has rebranded into a new restaurant featuring (optional) AYCE pork belly. Can't say there are too many places like this around. Parking is rather limited in the area. There are metered spots. Best to come after 2000, when the parking becomes free. The inside looks a little bit like a nightclub, with the pink/black theme, and funky neon lights. Staff are friendly. They weren't too attentive though. Had to wave them down several times. As of the time of writing, the AYCE pricing is better on weekdays (Monday to Friday). The AYCE comes with unlimited pork belly slices, banchan, mushrooms, and onions. The corn cheese, lettuce, and bean paste stew are limited to 1 order only (additional cost for more orders). 90 minute time limit. The banchan has green onions, regular onions with sauce, pickled turnip, bean sprouts with spicy sauce, and kimchi. Generous portions, decent quality. Goes well with the pork. Corn cheese - nice and gooey, and served in a small iron skillet. This thing disappears quickly though. Bean paste stew - basically a shared bowl of soup. Not sure if there is more than 1 bowl for larger tables, but would hurt to ask. Lettuce - well, it's lettuce. According to the instructions, the pork belly is actually supposed to be wrapped in lettuce with a bit of bean paste smeared on top. It's a bit clunky, but doable. The grills are electric and adjustable, so the heat can be adjusted as needed. They do come by regularly to adjust, but it's not hard to push a button to dial the heat up or down a notch. Buddy and I noticed that the middle of the grill cooks faster than the edges. Something to keep in mind. The staff initially showed us how to cut the slabs of belly into little chunks, but honestly it was way easier to just eat the pigs by the entire slab like a burrito. Honestly, as much as I tried to enjoy the experience, it was mediocre. The provided bowls were too small, so my buddy and I were fumbling trying to assemble the wraps without spilling everywhere. Having plates would've been nice. The bigger problem though was that there's basically only 1 kind of meat. Yes there are 3 types of dipping sauce (salt, tangy, spicy), but at the end of the day it's the same meat again and again. Even with the banchan and stew mixed in, honestly we stopped eating because we got sick of eating just pork belly, not because we were actually stuffed. With that said, nobody left hungry. Honestly I'm not sure what to think. Yes this place is different, but at the same price point, there are other options out there like AYCE hot pot. Maybe try it once and see for yourself.

Porker face is located at the old Sooda location along Lougheed Hwy. Came by on a Thursday night and there were lots of available tables. It was $33/person for all you can eat pork belly and your time starts the moment that you sit down so make sure your whole party is there. The meal comes with corn cheese, soup and lettuce which you can get refilled for an additional charge. However the banchan, rice, mushrooms and pork belly is all included in the cost. For each refill they provide one slab of pork belly per person which they then cut into smaller chunks to cook on the trip. The pork belly is pretty cooked so you really just finish it off on the grill to heat it up. I thought the pork belly was over done in some pieces and others were fine. I would have like it if they provided more lettuce because it was literally one leaf per person....two would have been slightly more reasonable I'm not sure I would revisit just because the meal ended up being heavy and I like more variety in my meals but it's worth a try if you love pork belly or want to try it just for the experience.

Had a great time at porker face. We thought it would be busy on a Thursday evening but it was actually empty! We got a table for 8 at 6:30pm easily. Ideally you have your whole party there because they start a pretty strict 1.5 hour timer once you sit down and have meat on the table. It's $32.99 on weekday evenings. There is only one thing - unlimited pork belly! They give you rice, lettuce and soup but those are not refillable. However, the side dishes, pork belly and enoki mushrooms are unlimited. Side dishes were tasty - I particularly liked the bean sprouts, pickled radish and green onion. We got a total of 8 refills of pork belly and lots of side dishes between 8 people so we think we made it worth it.

Wanted to try this place out and saw it all over so media. Definitely need to make a reservations on the weekend, especially if you have a bigger party. I was pleasantly surprised with the cost, quality of food, and service! Food came out quickly and our server gave us good recommendations for portions sizes. Refills came out quickly, atmosphere was kinda of loud but in a good way where people were happily eating and talking! Would definitely love to come back again with friends!

5 stars for everything here! The food is delicious and that cheese corn so delish! Service is impeccable as the staff is super attentive. The ambiance is very fun with cute decor and upbeat music. Highly recommend Porker Face.

Sooooo good !! I love ayce pork belly. The server kept coming by to attend to our meat so we didn't really have to do much. It was great

All you can eat pork belly -- come hungry! The servers were quick to replenish the pork belly when asked, and they cut it into pieces for the table. The price is good for all you can eat, but be mindful of all the add ons that can raise your cost.

Still in soft opening but here is an affordable AYCE Korean BBQ place. It's under $35 for dinner which is awesome. The key is it's all pork belly so if you don't like pork belly then this isn't the place for you! The pork belly and some of the sides are unlimited but you do have a 90 minute limit. The service is awesome too!

I was…read morepleasantly surprised to discover that Soju is quite spacious inside and that it actually has a cozy ambiance for happy hour drinks. Service was pretty quick when I visited, wasn't too busy with about three other tables of diners. Food-wise: their prices and portions are quite reasonable but I have yet to discover my favorite menu item or their best dishes as taste for bulgogi was just okay. Overall, their weekday lunch special is good value. Though their food on my first visit wasn't especially memorable, their spacious interior + modern ambience + efficient service + good value and free parking brings them up from 3.5 stars to a 4 stars rating since this is a place I would definitely consider visiting again to try other dishes. And I am hopeful about finding items to my liking because they offer a fairly diverse food and drinks menu.

It's simply decorated with Soju bottles or posters of Korean pop stars or actors. Love the casual and laid back vibe! There is a bell on the table if you need attention from the servers, and they are usually pretty efficient and fast when it is rung. We saw that there was a $9.99 combo deal and everyone at our table was shocked. We all ordered that. The combo comes with your choice of a noodle dish (Jajangmyeon or Black Bean noodles, Korean udon, or Spicy Cold noodles) and a Beef Bulgogi on the side. I ordered the Jajangmyeon with the Beef Bulgogi and it was great! I enjoyed the nice chew from the noodles and the Black Bean sauce was flavoured well. I was pleased to find chunks of pork in the noodles also. The Beef Bulgogi was a little watery, but tasted sweet and tender. All that food for $9.99. That's unheard of in this economy and in these times! Amazing. We'll definitely return as we saw other great deals on the menu also!

I dont really like jambong, so I'm super glad 88 noodle house lets you choose 2 jjajangmyeon! Perfect combo. For the meat dish, you can get tangsuyuk or gganpunggi. We chose the gganpunggi (sweet chili chicken). Jjajangmyeon was ok. Nothing too special about it. Good portions. The gganpunggi was also a good portion! However, I found that it was mostly batter, and since they use a mix of tapioca starch and other as breading, it gets jello-y when not completely cooked. The flavor was really good, but I was disappointed with the batter to chicken ratio. I will continue my search for this type of combo!

We always get the black bean noodles. Flavour is consistent, tasty, and it comes out quick and hot from the kitchen. We rotate between the sweet chili chicken and the sweet and sour pork. This time we got the sweet chili chicken. Flavour is good and comes piping hot and crispy. However, I did find the breading a bit heavy and there is a lot of fat in the layers. Same goes for the sweet and sour pork. I love their coating and the flavour is great, but sometimes I just get a coated piece of fat which is a bit off-putting. We also like the japchae, but find it has a bit too much onion for us. Ok cold nights we like to get the 88 noodle soup. Hot, peppery, slightly spicy. Goes well with the pickles they give you. Service is always quick and polite. No issues there. And the seating is spacious with lots of booth seating.

My other two friends got their glass noodles and Korean pancakes. The glass noodles were delicious!! Very flavourful. The pancakes I thought were a little too oily. I would definitely come back!
