porky's special: pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, white onions, green peppers + black olives = $30.99 for a large
    Trung N.

Porky's Pizza is a solid neighborhood spot. I recently ordered a large Pork's Special ($30.99). The pizza comes topped with pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, white onions, green peppers, and black olives. The Special is their equivalent to a supreme and it stacks up to other versions quite nicely. The topping to dough ratio is on point and though the crust is a bit bread heavy, I didn't mind it. I also like that they use ham as the second meat instead of the usual sausage. It gave the pizza a faint taste of sweetness. I'll be back to try some of their other speciality pizzas.

    Asked for well done

I usually order on their website and ask for it well done but the last 3 times they undercooked it almost like a job so the next time I go to order I call and ask the lady if there's a way she can make sure its well done, she says she will make sure its well done, it was more cooked but nowhere near well done. This place is already pricey to be set up to be disappointed.

Food was fair. They are a classic restaurant that has been sold several times. The recipes have changes. Too expensive for the value. No flavor. Needed more toppings and sauce on the pizza. The crust was good. Long wait time.

If you order this pizza it's best that you go there this is a nice and friendly place I love it everybody was so nice and they will ask you do u need help or how can I help you I love it . It was so nice and clean so I'm so off topic let me tell you about the pizza it was so fresh and hot and good I order a large pepperoni pizza with sausage, ham , bacon and it was so good .

    Tasty pizza

So we ordered take out! Pizza was delicious ! But I'm super disappointed with the wings and cinnamon sticks . This place has been my go to for pizza! I've lived here for 4 years now and pizza is the best. However, I feel that you're beginning to slack on quality. The wings are probably the smallest I've ever bought!!!! They are actually so small you can barely taste the meat. Since you're changing the quality and care for your clientele, I'm changing my rating.

The Fear. Well, half of it at least.

This is our go to place for pizza. I love the pizzas here and the service is always quick and friendly. This is not a dine-in establishment so you will need to call in for pickup or visit their website if you want it delivered. If you're craving for a good pizza, this is the place to go.

Horrible service. Food is more expensive than the quality. Interior is dirty, employees don't look sanitary. Definitely do not recommend.

Thunderbolt Pizza in Long Beach has become my go-to pizzeria. After trying a wide range of their…read moremenu, two dishes stand out above the rest: the Pizza Margherita and the Garlic Knots. Pizza Margherita - 5/5. This is a perfect example of the care and craft that go into their food. The crust strikes a rare balance - it has that signature leopard-spotted char and slight floppiness you'd expect from a Neapolitan-style pizza, but also delivers the chewiness and airy structure of a great New York-style slice. It never tips too far into being overly crispy or dry. What really sets it apart, though, is the sauce. While many pizzerias treat sauce as an afterthought, Thunderbolt clearly does not. Their tomato sauce is rich, vibrant, and juicy, with a depth of flavor that avoids being overly acidic, salty, or tannic. It enhances the pizza beautifully without overshadowing the dough, which is exactly how it should be. Garlic Knots - 5/5. - Easily some of the best I've had anywhere in LA. These are essentially bread rolls with a super chewy interior and a thin, lightly crusty exterior, served alongside their excellent marinara sauce. They're incredibly satisfying and consistently a crowd favorite. I've brought visitors from Japan, Germany, and New York, and every single one of them couldn't stop talking about these knots. My only small critique is that I wish they had used fresh garlic instead of canned, which would have taken them to an even higher level. Still, even as they are, they're outstanding. Overall, Thunderbolt Pizza delivers thoughtful, high-quality food that stands out in a crowded pizza scene. It's the kind of place you keep coming back to--not just because it's good, but because it's consistently memorable.

Mid week when we arrived which wasn't too crazy. There was no one on the patio which was nice as it gave us first choice for a seat...lol... Everyone was seating inside. The place itself isn't that big. You have the bar area with some bar seating. Then there's a couple of tables inside and of course the patio which is along the sidewalk. Personally I prefer sitting outside for the people watching. The staff were all amazing and very friendly. Places like that make the experiences more enjoyable. You want someone who is friendly and respectful. As we were there early, we grabbed one of the beer which they have quite a good selection on tap. There's also wine if you're not into beer. When it came time to grab some food, we were able to get a table inside. Majority of the breweries tends to serve pretty much the same things, pizza sandwiches and salads. No complaints here. Simple food goes a long way. There were a couple of us so we grabbed a few things to share. Started off with the pretzel balls with cheese dip and honey mustard and the chips with queso cheese dip. Pretzel was tasty and outdid the queso dip. Pizzas of course which were pretty big in sizes. A couple of the pizzas and a salad did four of us with leftovers. Their Hawaiian pizza was quite tasty and was finished. We also ordered one of the mushroom pizzas with an egg. It was tasty but a little on the salty side. The arugula salad was delicious. Simple but tasty. And then there was ham pizza I believe with onions and peppercini. That was also a favorite of the night. Overall, the place was quite fun. Not a big brewery and more intimate. The crowd was great and as most places are very kid and family friendly. There was couple of kids when we arrived. Service was great. We ordered a half and half pizza online for pickup and spent over $30 for pizza and a 4oz container of ranch. They told us it would be about 20min when we ordered so we got ready and left. We got there probably 15min after we ordered and grabbed two cokes while we waited. I tried to pay with cash and was told he might not have change to give me. I said that was ok even though it's pretty lame that you don't keep change in your register. He happened to find a very large coin bag and made me change. We were sitting right at the front and you couldn't miss us. They asked us a few times what our name for the order was and we told them the same thing every time. Finally after about 10 min they asked us for the 3rd time what our name was and then walked away. We could hear someone say "the order for Kymmy didn't leave they are here" or something along those lines. We kind of just looked at each other. The guy that rang us up came over and said, "sorry something happened to your pizza it'll be another 20min or so". At this point we had already been waiting about 15 min for the pizza. So we said ok because we were starving. One of the employees asked us if we drank wine we said no we didn't and that's why we were drinking cokes. He said, "ohh, okayyyy..." and gave us a very judgmental look. Like sir, you don't know why we aren't drinking. We also kind of figured he wanted to give us a few beverage for the mix up. But that was the end of it. We heard someone say our name and we asked if ours was ready and one girl acted like we were being impatient while waiting. Like we didn't just wait over a half hour for food. Finally our pizza was done after a total of 40 min and there was very minimal apology for the delay. We took it back to our hotel and we were so excited it smelled so amazing and it looked so good. I cannot tell you how disappointed we were when we took our first few bites. It was not that great. We had ordered pepperoni and the veggie pizza. We ate half of it because we were starving and very quickly regretted it. It made both of us super sick on top of everything else Needless to say we won't be back here and won't be recommending this place either

Overall, it was solid--sauce had good flavor, cheese was decent, and the dough was nice. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely a respectable slice. My only issue was the balance--there was a bit too much cheese for the crust, so even folding it New York-style, it didn't hold up well and kind of fell apart. A little more crisp on the bottom would've made a big difference. I also tried their Sicilian grandma-style focaccia pizza, and honestly, that was a huge letdown. It had this dusty, raw flour taste right away, was dry and spongy, and way overpowered with Parmesan. It just didn't come together at all--pretty disappointing, especially for the price. I've had frozen pizza that tasted better. Ended up just picking at the cheese to salvage something. On the plus side, the service was friendly and the space itself is chill--nice casual vibe with a few tables inside and outside to hang out. All in all, the regular slice was decent, but the focaccia pizza really missed the mark for me. Probably not a spot I'd go back to.
