I used to love the pizza here, but within the past year or so I've noticed the quality go down pretty significantly, which is unacceptable considering this place is pretty pricey. I ordered something today and was honestly disappointed. The crust was somehow both dry and underwhelming, the toppings felt thrown on, and the overall flavor was bland and boring. For what they charge, I expect a lot more consistency. I might as well have gotten Dominoes and saved myself over $20. It's a shame because this used to be one of my favorite spots growing up in the area, but lately it feels like they're relying on their reputation instead of maintaining the quality that made people come back. Hopefully they turn things around because I'd love to enjoy this place again but I doubt it as I've heard they're under new ownership per one of the workers. read more

Porkys pizza is really good! The pizza was plentiful and aesthetically pleasing to the palette and eye! They have Ken's ranch and that's automatically 10 points in my book! Oh and they have garlic ranch too! Really really good! Kinda on the pricey side if you're big on mods but well worth it. It's next to my favorite popcorn place. Parking can be a bit of a hassle if you go during rush hour, but I always find a space lol You should definitely give them a try! I'll be returning as well. read more

I'm not someone who typically leaves reviews--positive or negative--but this needs to be said. I've been ordering from Porky's for years, and it used to be one of my favorite pizza spots. The food was consistently great, the restaurant was clean, and the customer service was always top-notch. Unfortunately, something has changed over the last year or so, and the overall quality has declined significantly. If you're looking for floppy, undercooked pizza, employees having a food fight in the back (yes, you read that right--it was quite the sight when my sister and I went to pick up our order), and management that comes across as dismissive when concerns are raised, this is the place for you. I just found out that the Manager of this business for 12 years no longer works here. Very sad to hear since he was the backbone of this business. He always went above and beyond and always made sure my pizza was cooked well done. He always double checked that all my sides and sauces were in the bag and I never had any issues with my order when he was there. I have been ordering for years and have seen ALOT of quality issues recently. After having so many issues on multiple orders I asked to speak to Zeke, the manager. They told me it was his day off which explains why the quality was off. They offered to remake my pizza and it took 25 minutes. So then I'm there, an hour later, with two soggy and terrible quality pizzas.... I asked what days Zeke worked so that I could make sure to only order on those days. After those few bad experiences, the kids and I never had any issues ordering on the days that Zeke worked. After finding out this morning from a family friend that he no longer works there, I will now be ordering somewhere else. The pizza is way too expensive for the quality we receive. It is so sad to see this business falling apart, the kids will definitely miss the way their pizza used to be. I have never posted a yelp review and decided to make an account to share this post. Ever since the new ownership took over, Porky's Pizza has been fantastic! The place is absolutely spotless and clean, and the service is right on every single time. We've been ordering from here regularly for our office lunches, and it has been a consistently great experience for the whole team. The pizza is delicious with a perfectly baked crust, but whatever you do, do not skip the garlic knots--they are absolutely to die for! Highly recommend giving them a try. read more

I was walking along Atlantic Ave, in the Bixby neighborhood of Long Beach, looking for eating options. I came upon the store's sandwich board offering a "walk-in special". I ordered a pepperoni pizza, "thin crust". The pizza I received was prepared well. The flat portion of the crust was not too thick, not too thin. The perimeter of the crust had the features of fresh bread. It had a reasonable amount of cheese and pepperoni. It tasted good. It was visually appealing. I would take the pizza here, versus the "mass market pizza brands". Looking at the website, it appears that "Porky Pizza" is a small chain, with eight locations in Southern California. This store does not have seating for dine-in. The store focuses of carry-out and delivery. read more

Porky's Pizza is a solid neighborhood spot. I recently ordered a large Pork's Special ($30.99). The pizza comes topped with pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, white onions, green peppers, and black olives. The Special is their equivalent to a supreme and it stacks up to other versions quite nicely. The topping to dough ratio is on point and though the crust is a bit bread heavy, I didn't mind it. I also like that they use ham as the second meat instead of the usual sausage. It gave the pizza a faint taste of sweetness. I'll be back to try some of their other speciality pizzas. read more

Came here for a Valentine's Day heart shaped pizza and Porky's had me covered! The pizza was decently sized considering it was heart shaped and had the perfect cheese to pepperoni to marinara sauce ratio. I also got the garlic knots which were so yummy. I have ordered off and on for several years. Last night I called in and ordered a Hawaiian pizza. I was disappointed. The pizza was barely warm. The pineapple pieces looked like they were tossed on after coming out of the oven. They kept falling off when I picked up each piece of pizza. They tasted like they had not been heated at all. On top of that, the crust was under done. The price went up as well and the driver said "yeah, new management" Disappointed. Our go-to has been Valentino's Pizza for years. They were closed at 11:30am today so we placed our phone order here. Ordered the Porky's Special. It's the closest to the Supreme minus the Italian sausage. The crust is softer and the pizza is less greasy overall. Thanks for double cutting it for us. We'll be back. read more
